What's the history in taking the nights available and then wait listing the rest?
I have a studio reservation for Nov 29th - Dec 5th at OKW but really would like Boardwalk or Bay Lake. I assume if you waitlist the entire trip all the days would have to be available for the wait list reservation to take place?
Or would you take what you can a waitlist the rest and keep your other reservation with a split stay?
I guess in the grand scheme of things who cares since I still get to go in December for my 1st DVC Member Trip!

Thanks!

That's really a personal decision - how much of a risk taker are you? :teeth:

It's also a bit more difficult to do these days because you are only allowed 2 active waitlists at any one time.

Personally, I hate to move during my vacation so I will only waitlist for the entire trip, even if it's more likely to come through if I take the available nights and waitlist for the holes.

As you say, you get to be at WDW no matter what since you have a reservation. You've picked a great time for a first DVC visit.

My advice is to use your 2 waitlists for the entire trip - one for the BWV (pool/garden) & one for BLT (lake view) and let the pixie dust decide.

Good luck!

for our upcoming trip in the fall and they screwed it up. I took 4 out of 5 nights and waitlisted for the one night. They ended up putting me at the wrong resort and I had to re-waitlist for both the room I'd booked and lost and the room I am hoping to get!
