taking my 6month old baby to dlp xmas o8!! help!!

we are going to dlp for xmas 08, we have bin twice before but this year i have another baby and he will be 6months old at xmas!! and we have a 4year old daughter who loves it!!

need help as my baby will still be having his milk formula bottles and wanted to know if using french water is safe and ok also does anybody know if they sell sma gold formula in disney, and baby food?? nappies etc?? realy concerned about the sterilising aswell!! i have a microwave sterillizer i could take but not sure if there will be any microwaves for me to use??? i am stopping in disney sequoria lodge!

also does anybody know if i can take my 6month old on the rides with me? obviously not the big fast rides, but he should be ok to go on small world, peterpan, buzz lighter etc??? shouldnt he?? we are going with another familie also who have a 4 and 3 yr old so dont want to be left standing alone waiting, so hoping he can come on with us!! he is very big for his age,

please can anybody help me please!!!

Hi we took our little boy when he was 5 months old, he is now 4. I know that baby changing places have food for babies and milk i think. Have to say when we went we drove so took the cartons of ready made milk and our own steriliser, which was a plug in rather than a micro one. I used bottled water but im pretty sure that if you boil the water it will be fine to use, Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong. I know that you can buy steriliser bags which my sister in law used when they went on holiday. Not sure how they work but i know she got them from Boots.

With regards to the rides, we took ours on small world , peter pan, snow white pinochio, the train, and the carosel. Buzz wasnt there when we went first time round but i would have taken him on had it been built.

hi there, I'm taking my 6mth old and my 4 yr old at christmas too I intend to take the baby on pirates of the caribbean peter pan snow white the teacups, small world etc.. and there's always baby exchange! DH and I will take turns with the 4yr old whenever baby can't ride.. and its not as if any of the rides last that long. Also there's quite alot to do at the studios where baby can come too like animagique, the stunt show and stitch live etc

hi there and thank you for your replys!! thats great news to hear that i can take him on alot of the rides, wouldve bin dissapointing if couldnt have gone on at least some as a family together, that way get to do it with my 4yr old girl aswell, we drove last xmas which meant we could bring more stuff with us, but this time we are going by eurostar, veing easier than traveling by car all that way with baby!!

to your answer that u used bottled water? did you just use the bottle water and then add the milk formula, then heat? u dont have to boil the water first do ya!! also the water they sell out there in bottles would be ok then aswell wouldnt it.

also was just wondering when you took your baby did you bring your own pram with you and leave it when you went on the rides? was it safe as read on here that someones pram got stollen, i have to take my own though, do you think it will be ok to leave it why go on the rides?

Many, including ourselves have came with expensive pram/buggy systems and left them outside the rides with no fear or problems at all. The rented buggies are much more likely to go walkies by those who don't want to pay and think it is okay for you since you get a replacement for free

We first took my daughter when she was about 9/10 months. We took the ready made formula in cartons and I used the sterilising bags. I got them from boots and you just fill with water up to a line (we used tap water) and I think you can do 2 bottles at a time. They were very convenient. We stayed in Davy Crocket but your hotel should have a microwave plus all the baby stations in the park had them. You could also try disposable bottles which are already sterile.

The bottles water in France is NOT automatically safe to use, just as it isn't here either. Some of them are too high in sodium and other minerals for a baby. There is a phrase written on the bottle labels which tells you whether it's ok for babies - see this link for more info and for what the phrase actually is

There aren't that many places to buy bottled water though - the garage outside Santa Fe hotel would probably be your best bet. I'd vote for ready-made cartons if you can possibly do it, it means a lot to carry though, I know.

My son will still be on forular when we go in November. I was intending to take cartons, but the expense of it is radiculous. My partner thinks the water there would be fine boiled to use with formular. As france use same chemicals in water as uk. (I hear?) What do you think would make life so much easier to boil the water there??? anyone done this and baby was fine... or anyone done this and baby had tummy upset?

I would be quite happy boiling the tap water - but for the convenience that ready-made cartons offer I'd go for that anytime, regardless of expense. It's a very tiring holiday so the last thing you'll want to do is make up formula bottles as well! The cartons are about 50p each so if your little one is on, say, 6 feeds a day, that only amounts to £12 for a 4 day stay. Sure it's a lot just for milk, but when you consider how much the holiday costs anyway, another £12 is *definitely* worth it, for me! The weight of carrying it is the only reason against it as far as I'm concerned.

Can't see any reason why they couldn't go in your case (again, apart from the weight aspect). We are lucky that DS is only on 2 feeds now so I 'only' had to carry 10 cartons.
