Taking my 4 year old niece

ALONE!! Either I'm crazy or the nicest aunt in the world. LOL This will be her first trip away from mom & dad and my first trip alone with her. Or any child for that matter. Am I crazy? Am I getting in over my head? My sister laughed and told me I'm crazy to want to do this, but I LOVE Disney and my niece loves it and I love seeing things through her eyes, so since my sister isn't ready for another trip (we were there in September) I thought why not take my niece with me?

I haven't given the final go-ahead to the TA to book the trip. I'll just verify tomorrow with my sis that she's ok about this and then it will all be official.

Wish me luck!! Any and all advice appreciated.

I don't think you're crazy at all. One on one with a 4 yr old would be amazing! My best advice is let her lead, and take it easy! You might find it's the little things that make the biggest memories.

If you are worried about her missing mom and dad maybe do some overnighters with her at your place. But I think it is a great idea! Have a blast!

LOL She is always the leader. Love her to death, but she's one of those kids that lets you know in no uncertain terms what she does and doesn't like. When my sister asked her yesterday if she wanted to go alone to "Mickey Mouses' House" with me she got very excited and started telling us which rides she can't wait to go on. It's her excitement that I truly love to share with her.

That's not a bad idea. My sister thinks she'll be fine because we'll be at Disney. She really does love it there, I'm creating a total Disney freak with her. LOL

I have done a lot of vacations with her, many plane rides, etc. When given a choice 9 out of 10 times she usually sits with me. I spend a lot of time with her, so I hope she'll be ok.

I think this might be a bigger step for me than it is for her. LOL I'm single with no kids, I have never spent more than a few hours alone with her, or any kid for that matter. I was never a babysitter, or anything like that. I know I can do it, it's just going to be interesting. LOL
