Since we'll be in the area visiting DL, we want to make sure we head down to SD to take in the sites as well, how much time do you think we would need to hit the zoo, the animal park and sea world?

Just came back from the SD Zoo. We did the entire thing in 2 days.. we rode the buses took the skytram and saw the shows.. We loved it. The Giant Pandad were the best. We went to them the 1st thing on our 2nd day. We ended up getting season passes. It was only $29 more and they are good for the WAP and SDZ and don't expire till April 30th 2010. So we can go back for easter break next year!

YOu can also take in food with no problem They do not check bags. The food there is better then Disneyland from what we have experienced. The atmosphere is nice also.

I would personally do all of them seperately, 1 for each day, just so I know that I can see and do everything. But you can make SW & SDZ a one day trip since they are so close to each other & the WAP another day since it's a bit further. I'm the kind of person that likes to take my time and see everything, so that's why I'd go to each of them seperately. But if you've been to these places before and don't care about needing to see every little thing, then by all means squish them together and just do your favorites. Even though I've visited these places many times, I still feel that I need to say hi to all the animals before the day is done. :)

I'm with the previous poster, and would recommend that you take a day to visit each of them. If you try to combine them you'll miss too much! And they all involve a lot of walking, so you'd be really tired, too - though you'll still be pretty tired doing one per day.

If you're short on time you might want to consider doing either the Zoo or the Wild Animal Park but not both. If that's the case I would recommend the Zoo over the WAP, just because there's a wider variety of animals there. And it's a little smaller, too.
