Taking forever......Book online and cancel later?

I've been on hold for 40 min. I already have a reservation and was going to modify to get the discount. This is taking forever though. Should I just book the room only online now and then cancel my old reservation later? Can you have 2 reservations at the same time?

That's what I did last time - some of us have to get to work! LOL
I think I did the new ressie in my husband's name though in case the system recognized a double booking and cancelled the new booking.

Just call later to cancel when you have more time to be on hold.

I just got mine changed to free dining. I was on hold for about 30 seconds. Lakesha had me set up in 10 minutes.

I ended up doing that, but didn't use a different name. Will they really cancel one of the reservations?!

I was going to do this. But, when I went through at the end the cost of room only with this public discount, was higher than the original room I booked with AAA. Not sure why. Just thought I'd share.
