I am going in a couple of days and I am on a budget. I was thinking about making a trip to tescos before we go to buy snacks like crisps and chocolate but am I allowed to take them on the eurostar with me? I just thought it would be a good way to save money. We are going to take the breakfast food aswell for lunch so I thought we would need some snacks also.

We are eating out at night to make it special but eating in the day we are not that fussed what we eat just want to save money

Can I also buy water from the uk and take that too?

Thanks! xx

We took loads with us on both trips this year. It's the great thing about travelling on Eurostar!! We took cereal bars, mug shots (as we had a kettle in our room the first time and so hoped we would again! we did as got the same room!!) squash, mini cheddars (don't squash quite so badly as crisps!) chocolate, apples, bananas (packed in a big tupperware box) raisins. We pretty much had enough to manage to make do with 1 bought meal per day to keep costs down. We sometimes bought sandwiches at the train station too which was enough with everything else for a decent lunch.

You could take water but you can pick it up pretty cheaply in the station anyway so I wouldn't break your back taking litres and litres! I took 2 small water bottles with us and just filled them back up each morning (kids had their usually toddler type cups)

Ohh thats so good! Im going to Tescos on Monday then to stock up!

Also I see you stayed at the Cheyenne did you think it was cold in the rooms? Ive stayed there before but it was hot outside and ive read they are cold in the winter? xx

Yes I was bloomin' freezing! although Chris and the kids were fine so maybe it was just me! I just whacked the heating right up til we went to sleep each night and on more than one occasion pinched my DSs Cars fleece blanket that I'd taken with us for him! In my defence though he did have a fleecey all in one in and was super toastie!! lol :rotfl: Maybe take a fleece blanket with you or I think Primark do adult size fleece all in ones too!! :lmao:

ohhh blinking heck I hate the cold Im afraid of it haha. By the looks of it im going to be taking a enough stuff to last me a week!

Im going shopping by the looks of things to buy some warm PJs. My boyfriend sleeps in his boxers(sorry if thats too much info!) and i bet he wont believe me when i tell him it will be cold in the room haha oh dear well ill secretly pack some warmies for him too :thumbsup2

hehehe, don't worry! I don't think my OH took PJs either though and he was fine! I just like to be lovely and warm and disney duvets just don't do it for me I'm afraid! Just pop the heating on as soon as you get in your room and have a nice hot bath before bed, that, thick pjs and a fleece and you'll be fine! :)

You could always leave the heating on although Im not sure what time it goes off. I only didn't because I didn't want the little ones to get too hot as DS had a convulsion a few weeks before our March trip and I get a bit paranoid about him overheating now! Otherwise I'd have had it on all night if I could!

Have a great time!!!! :cheer2:

Oh god that sounds scary I would be like that too then!

I think I will turn the heating on then as soon as I get in. Im secretly hoping I might get an upgrade but everytime I think that I never do!

I will take my big fluffy jumper with me and ill be fine if not ill sleep in my coat haha

xx
