Taking food into the parks....

At least now you know to go armed with tupperware!!! :)

I take sandwich bags in readiness!! Peolple looked at me funny in the crush queue while i was snacking at 9.45am - but i knew they were jealous really!!!

I can't stomach breakfast at 7am its tooo early...so i think i'll be popping and picking up food then leave for the park lol.

The beauty of GMF is you can book a late one , do some EMH then have brekkie in the park. Tastes much better at 9.30 than 7.00

Yeah, GMF was the only breakfast I actually ate at!! In Jan I'm going to do EMH and then have a late DLH breakfast. :)

I'm actually glad the park doesnt open at 8am every morning in January!

Hi Small World, I knew you would figure it out:thumbsup2

Mommy2ash, you are so lucky only having to take that amount of food with you, I wish we could get away with that amount. We have to take ds2's entire food for the week, 5 loaves of bread, his own butter, juice and chocs , it takes up a whole suitcase.

Hi, I know slightly off topic, but wondering... what can you take in a suitcase?? I will need to take few cartons of dairy free bits for my son. But as I have really bad stomach problems..would I be able to pack a few bits? ready salted crisps? brek bars etc? just bits for energy? what CAN and CANT you take food wise? The airline website didn't say with reagrds to food????

thank you:confused3

As long as its not fresh produce (fruit, cheese etc.) or liquids then anything else should be fine in your hand luggage.

I'm the same as DD1 is currently on soya milk (dairy free diet). I think I'm just going to have to go to the supermarket and try and buy some.

I'm not sure of the restrictions on liquids in hand luggage these days - might still be quite strict.... You'd need to check with your airline.

It was still very strict when we flew to Dublin a few mths ago

We don't fly to DLRP anymore(DS2 screamed the plane down), but we did fly to Cyprus last year and we took all his food in a suitcase as usual, the only thing you have to consider is that the bags do get thrown around and squashed. The last thing you want is soya milk all over your clothes. We try to use a solid case for the food and then put a towel round them.:)
