I've read that this is ok to do and they don't mind / don't bag search.

Are there any shops outside the parks to get some things from? I've heard drinks in particular are very expensive in the parks.

Is anyone taking light snacks from home? (My kids like to eat all day long so considering this although we're flying so will depend on room in the case)

I've also read about some people taking things from breakfast to eat later in the park, not sure i would be brave enough - do they watch for people doing it? (For the people who have do you take little Tupperware boxes or anything to put things in?)

It's fine to take food and drink into the parks.

The shop just inside the station is cheaper for drinks.

I always take breakfast bars with us and have a few in my bag for snacks if the kids are hungry.

When my ds was younger he would only drink diluting juice so I would take a large bottle from home and de-cant into a water bottle to have in my bag. Then we'd buy some bottles of water and use it to flavour our drinks. We would then fill up on water from the water fountains around the park. It saved us a fortune and kept my ds happy :thumbsup2

yes you can take food and drinks into the parks with you. I used to take little bags of cookies, sweets, dried fruit etc with me in my hold case.

no-one at security is going to stop you taking food into the parks (they do bag search though, so be prepared for that). Personally I don't take food from the hotel breakfast to have later, as I don't fancy crushed pastries and warm yoghurt later in the day.

There is a garage with small convenience store at the entrance to the Santa Fe hotel, there are also 2 small convenience stores inside the train station at the entrance to the parks. The snacks from the train station stores are cheaper than the parks.

Thanks for the replies. I will pack a few bits of food and buy some others from the train station, anything to save a few £££'s to spend on nice things while we're there :)

Try things like raisins etc. They will give an energy boast :-)

We've always used the little newsagents inside the Eurostar station - but last trip thanks to Carriecat found the other supermarket type shop inside the station is a lot cheaper and has more variety. If you go in and have newsagent on your right turn left and straight ahead.

The bigger / cheaper shop in the train station is the Casino shop.
Are you staying onsite?
Val d'Europe is a couple of minutes away by train (tickets are cheap - ¬1.40 adult each way iirc and under 4s are free) and you could stock up on some bits. Theres a huge Auchan supermarket and a fab Pauls bakery plus loads of other shops. The journey is very straightforward as DLP is the second last station on that line and VdE is the last one.

Our kids tend to graze throughout the day and it can be costly in the parks.

I made a couple of ham rolls at breakfast in Santa Fe last year for my youngest, nobody even glanced and I noticed loads of others do the same.
This year I took a packet of Ham, the ready sliced cheese and warburtons thins along with cake bars, crisps etc then stocked up on pastries and juice in Auchan. Saved a fortune as it meant just one meal to buy each day in the park.
