Why is it that children are expected to behave in all social situations but the jerk in front of me at a department store yesterday, threw an all out temper tantrum, including swearing and throwing insult after insult at the lady checking him out but, was not punshied by anyone because he is an adult? I mean why are children held to a higher standard than say this guy?
If kids need to be removed when having any kind of meltdown the same should be true of adults like the jerk in front of me. Why is it acceptable for an adult to "lose it" but not a child?
This guy was old enough to know better but still chose to let it all out. While he wasn't shrieking a high pitch wail or crying incessantly he was yelling loud enough for everyone on the bottom floor to hear. It went on for a good 5-10 min. It was very annoying for those of us around him and yet no removed him and made him go out to the car, put himself in timeout until he could behave better and then allowed him to return. His tantrum was a result of not getting his way...just like a child in a store.
Children should be taught to behave but then so should adults. I find the adult versions of "whining" to be way more annoying than a child because an adult SHOULD know how to behave in all social situations.

They're pretty different from what most people probably remember, and don't cause near the diaper rashes they (must have) used to. My son has never gotten a rash from his - and I don't change him all that often. And I really don't spend that much time washing - maybe 5 minutes a night taking care of that day's, then 2x a week doing the load while the baby naps, just like how I do any other load of laundry. And folding? Are you kidding me?
They sit in a basket and I pick out what I need!
