taking boat from HS to cape may cafe?

i have a 950am ADR for cape may cafe.

can anyone please give me information on taking the boat from HS to cape may cafe?

where is the transfer area?

how often does the boat run?

should i just take a cab instead? i'm staying at all star movies and spending the rest of the day at epcot (i'm trying not to enter the park prior to the ADR).

We have done it a few times but it takes awhile esp. if you have to wait on a boat.

where is the transfer area? You'll see the boat dock ouside the main entrance on the waterway.

how often does the boat run? Probably about every 15 minutes or so. The actual ride from DHS to BC/YC is about 20 minutes.

should i just take a cab instead? It'll be a lot quicker because you can take it directly to the BC. This would be my choice. i'm staying at all star movies and spending the rest of the day at epcot (i'm trying not to enter the park prior to the ADR).

Also, if you like to walk there are a couple of other options, but they are kind of long walks so not recommended if you can't/don't want to do a lot of walking:

There's also a walking path from DHS to the Epcot resorts that follows the edge of the same waterway that the boat uses.

Since you're planning to go to Epcot afterwards, you could take the bus to the front of Epcot and walk through the park and out the IG to Cape May.

That most likely would take the most time, you get to Epcot and then go through security and then through the ticket turnstiles and then walk all the way through Epcot.
A taxi would be the fastest most effective way, at your resort, go out to bell services and they will call you a cab, and then just go right to the BC.
Using Disney transportation take the bus to the studios and walk over to the boat dock. I would give yourself plenty of travel time because the boats are slow, if you miss one, you have quite a wait for the next one.
I like the walk from DHS over to the Epcot resorts, its nice and I have found that if there is a boat heading towards the dock as I am exiting DHS, I have been able to beat the boat to the BC.

i'm traveling with my 30 month old so the quickest route would be the best.

i thought the boat ride would be really fascinating for her but i would hate to miss the bus and then be late for our ADR.

Cape May to the IG at Epcot is about 7 - 10 min walk at a normal pace.
