I am planning a trip with grandchildren. We have never been to Universal but have gone to WDW. At WDW we stay at Shades of Green. WDW has a pass we use for my grandson to help him with lines. We check in at line with his book. The wait time is notated then we return at the time specified to the ride. We do one attraction at a time and just roam while waiting for our turn. No meltdowns. Does Universal have a similar system to help these kids? I do know that if we stay at an Universal hotel we could get front of the line pass but Shades is a familiar place for my grandchild. Very low key as well as much cheaper. Thank you

I've never heard of anything like that but I don't even have kids. I know that last week I saw many people in wheelchairs in the regular line. You can still buy an express pass if not staying onsite.

This is a response from a very similar question:

you will not be asked for a doctor or medical statement to get the assistance pass.

go to guest services and talk to the TM inside the parks.
they will ask you a few questions so they can better assist your family in providing the best way of enjoying the parks.
you will receive a card.
you show it to the TM/team member at the ride line.
if the wait for the ride is under 30 minutes, you are allowed to use the express line.
if the wait is over 30 minutes, the TM will write a time for you to return to the ride.
you will be sent thru the express line at that point.

you can only have one return time for a ride at a time.

Yes US has a similar program to the current WDW program. I took my then 10 yo son to US/IOA who has a number of issues including ADHD and Spectrum issues but we stayed onsite and had Express. He was fine with Express. So this modifications should work well.

Thank you. As I said before he is very comfortable with Shades of Green resort at WDW. It is small any 264 rooms and very low key. With his issues important to have a spot that he can relax in. Also the price and location is great.
