We will be taking Amtrak to WDW in April from Newark, NJ. I have a couple of questions:

1) We booked a sleeper car. What can you tell me about the amenities of it? I know it has its own bathroom (Viewliner Standard?) by the 'floor plan' but that's about all I know. Are there outlets in the sleeper car?

2) My reservation says meals are included? What exactly does this entitle us to?

3) What kind of 'cars' are there on the train? I.E. bar, food, activities, etc.

Thanks a lot! :)

Your compartment will consist of two seats facing each other (which will pull out to form a bed). There is also an upper berth to sleep in. You have a video screen to watch movies, I believe you have a choice of three or four. And you can listen to music on specific channels. There is a sink, mirror, toilet. (You must pull down the door shade, and the window shade to use the toilet. Don't forget to lock the door!) There are reading lights over the bed. Out in the hallway, there is a station for coffee, tea, and ice. The price of the sleeper includes eating in the dining car--a mini restaurant. Choose an early seating, the food often runs out before the last seating. Hope this helps.

Yes, there are outlets in the standard bedroom. Keep in mind the room is necessairily small, so check as much baggage as possible and bring as little as possible with you onboard.

You recieve complimentary complete meals (from several choices) served in the dining car for whatever meal times occur while you are on the train (usually dinner and breakfast; lunch depending on the schedule). You must pay for any snacks or beverages from the lounge car, but coffee and tea is generally available in the sleeper at no charge.

Ten passenger cars on the train (not including express and mail cars): usually one baggage car, crew dormitory, two Viewliner Sleepers, diner, Amfleet II lounge, and four Amfleet II coaches.

Feel free to ask any more questions. Have a great trip.
