Taking ADHD kid to WDW...please share

This is not necessary for Disney. I suppose if you're travelling internationally then it might be a good idea but it's certainly not needed for any domestic airlines or WDW. I do keep our medications in their original prescription containers when flying (domestic or international) though for pills that isn't even necessary (for liquids or needles it is important to be in an original prescription container).

With ADHD kids or adults and flying internationally you need to check the laws of the country your flying into. Some do not allow controlled substances into the country even with prescription without jumping through considerable hoops or being detained for a few days. Each country is different, some baulk at stimulants, others pain meds etc.

Just an example
A few countries are particularly vigilant, if only about certain drugs. Greece and Turkey frown on opiates like codeine, while Japan gets riled up about stimulants. The Japanese embassy warns against carrying such over-the-counter allergy and sinus medication as Sudafed and Vicks inhalers. To get permission to import other allergy medications, narcotics, syringes, or more than one asthma inhaler, travelers must fax the Ministry of Health. Exceptions will not be made at the airport, and Japanese authorities have been known to detain travelers for days while the wheels of justice grind.

I have a tip to add for those with Adhhhhhhhhhhhd kids.. For our trip last summer, we dressed my DS 12 in those neon construction worker t-shirts.. My DS14 as AS and can spend lots and lots of time taking in details while DS12 is still so impulsive that I regularly lose him.. Those shirts made it easy to spot him if he got away...

I agree on the idea for using very brightly colored shirts. I've done the same thing with both my boys. DS17 is ADHD, ASD, BPD and DS9 is ASD, ADD, OCD, AD etc.. :goodvibes

I've found that using handheld games in the lines really works well with them. So does a scheduled break time and some swim/unwind time. I've used the GAC in the past for DS9 so he wouldn't have major meltdowns, although we spent our first few trips without one since it wasn't necessary for a while.

I was actually looking forward to not getting one this trip, since DS9 has managed to control some of his issues, but then along came DN4 who has CP, ADHD, vision problems, and is in a stroller wheelchair. :upsidedow

On the whole I've found that it wasn't the ADD or ADHD that caused any issues on our trips, it was the ASD or the sensory integration issues that caused the troubles, so relax and have a great trip!
