Great to hear that a lot of people don't have a problem with it!
And for those that are saying "go back to your hotel room" ...if I had one I'd go there (of course!), but sometimes I go to Disneyland just for 1 day (very rarely) waking up at 7am and staying until 12am (arriving home a little after 1am) and I just have to find a place to rest my eyes and body somewhere in the middle or else it's very dangerous for me (for everyone!) to sleep-drive on the way back.
If someone had a hotel room and just decided to sleep in the park... I would find that a little weird too!
Heck we took power naps on the ground in front of ROA while waiting for F! and my son whos 6 slept thought the whole show. I say its your vacation and you are free to do as you wish.
Before our room was ready at VGC my DH and I went out by the pool. The lounges out there are nice and comfy and he got a nice nap in.![]()
I should let my husband know what a faux pas this is, poor man nods off every time I make a bathroom break.
I was in a party of 8 and we ALL fall asleep inside the Tiki Room. A cast member kindly woke us up after the show.![]()
In my opinion, there is a HUGE difference between accidentally nodding off for a few moments on a bench while waiting for your party and just sprawling out on a bench with the intention of sleeping for 20 minutes.
I don't think there is anything wrong with the former. I think I'm on the fence about the latter. The thing that keeps me from being against it is that I, like some previous posters, usually go up for one-day trips and tend to arrive early and stay quite late. While I haven't slept, a friend that was visiting from out-of-state did fall asleep on the ground while waiting for the 11:15 showing of WOC and I certainly didn't think she was weird or rude, as there were tons of heavy eyes that night waiting for that final showing.
I do not think anyone has a problem with the ROA/F issue or a couple minute snooze, it is those extended naps that we disagree with. For day trippers there always is the car the came in, I would think that would be much safer and less imposing.

Taking a nap in the car is actually a great idea! (Wonder why I haven't thought of it, lol), but I think psychologically.. once someone enters their car to take a rest... they typically begin to think (for example) "ugh, lets just go home, forget about WoC, we'll catch it next time" and they end up regretting about it the next day. Also, (although maybe to some it might be insignificant) it's quite a walk and time-consuming to go back-and-forth, ride the trams, walk to car, walk to tram, ride tram again, walk back in, etc. They're already very tired when they come to the point of wanting to take a nap at DisneylandI do not think anyone has a problem with the ROA/F issue or a couple minute snooze, it is those extended naps that we disagree with. I think I would go out to my car and take a nap, those benches can't be too comfortable. I also think what makes me uncomfortable with it is it reminds me of homeless people sleeping on benches, I do not want to see that at DL.
Well I doubt a homeless person would be able to afford a Disneyland park ticket, lol!I did not want to say it but that is always my first thought when I see this happening. I see enough of that.
