Hey all..I am one of the leaders of our youth group that will be in Anaheim in July 2006. We are trying to do some long range planning. We will be a group of around 35 High Schoolers and 6 adult leaders. We will be staying at either the Marriott or the Hilton next to the convention center. We are there to attend the International Youth Convention and I, being a Disney fanatic, am in charge of planning a Disney Day. WoooHooo! Got some questions I hope you all can answer.
1. Tickets: Group rates, is there a such a thing at Disneyland? Do these tickets ever expire, meaning buy them now before any price increase? Does one ticket get you into both parks?
2. Is Disneyland within walking distance of either the Marriott or the Hilton by the convention center?
3. Is it within walking distance to Downtown Disney from the hotels mentioned above?
4. What fast food places are within walking distance of the above mentioned hotels?
5. What day is better to visit Disneyland....Sunday or Monday? (those are our two choices)

That is all I can think of for now. These boards are great and have helped out many a trip to Disneyworld. Now, a chance to visit Disneyland with some of the greatest teens around. How great is that??? :cool1:

Go to www.disneyland.com website and look up group rates. Both the Marriott and the Hilton are two blocks away from Disneyland. You can walk, but there will be a shuttle to and from the hotel every ten or twenty minutes. Downtown Disney, again, you can walk, but you're better off taking a shuttle. The closest restaurants from Hilton and Marriott that I know of are on Harbor Blvd. The only fast food restaurant I know of is McDonalds which is next to the Tropicana, which is adjacent to the pedestrian walkway to Disneyland and CA Adventure. If you go to Disneyland on a sunday most likely you'll be sorry. You can expect HUGE crowds that day. Monday shouldn't be as bad, but you'll have the leftover crowds from the weekend. :earboy2:
