We will be taking my 17 year old daughter’s friend with us on a our upcoming 5 day trip in August. Any suggestions or recommendations from anyone that has done this before? We just asked the friend to pay for her park ticket and spending money. We’ll take care of hotel (2BR at SSR) flight and meals.
Can the friend have her own credit card applied to magic band?
Should I ask her parents to send me insurance info or anything along that lines just in case the girl got sick or needed medical treatment (God forbid).
Just trying to prepare and make sure we can take good care of my daughter’s bestie while she’s under our Disney roof.

If she’s under 18 get a letter from them saying you can make medical decisions, and she should have her insurance card on her.

I would definitely have a signed note from them about medical decisions, as mentioned above. She should have her insurance card and you should probably have a copy of it, as well. She should be able to have her own card applied to her band, I think.

We have taken our kids friends quite a few times. Having the signed note and an insurance card is something we did and also all we asked for was the park ticket and spending money. We took care of meals and transportation (but we drove). Most times it worked out great. There was a time or 2 that they would start to get on each other’s nerves. One trip, the friend only wanted to ride the coasters which was not my DS’s idea of a good time. Being 17, I would let them have their own time in the parks and just stay in phone contact with you unless they want to spend time with you 😀 which is always fun too!!!

We always asked that the note be notarized. It was just an "added" peace of security, in case something happens.
