Taking a Break at Epcot

My schedule means that we will only have one day (with single day ticket) at Epcot and we will be there from opening to closing (phew! )

It's just me and DB, but although we're young and sprightly, we still like a little afternoon nap.

We're staying offsite, so returning to the hotel isn't really an option.

If we leave the park ant International Gateway and get our hands stamped, are we ok to come back in? And are there any nice relaxing spots, perhaps by the Boardwalk or the Yacht club where we can take the weight off for a couple of hours?

Yes, and yes. As long as you get your hand stamped, you can leave and re-enter through the International Gateway. And the Boardwalk and Y&B Clubs have very nice lobbies and beaches you can sit on. If it's warm enough, there's benches to sit outside on the Boardwalk.

At one time I remember seeing cabanas on the beach in front of the Beach Club. I remember thinking how nice it would be to catch a nap in one. The last 2 Decembers that I was there I didn't even see any cabanas at all. Maybe they just put them out when it is really hot.

There are also rocking chairs on the verandah of the beach club. That's a nice place to relax.

The lobbies of the Yacht Club and Beach Club have comfortable chairs and couches to stretch out in. (Check out the names on the drawers of a small table in the Yacht Club lobby!) Also, chairs just outside the rear entrances of the Yacht Club and Beach Club are great for lounging.

There's aslo some very inviting looking hammocks on the beach outside Yacht and Beach Clubs! Grab an ice cream at Beaches and Cream and then relaaaaaaaaaaax!!!!

Get you're hand stamp and you'll be okay to get back in Epcot when you're all rested up!

Personally, I think I would prefer to relax in the outdoor patio restaurant at the Mexico pavillion with a nice cold margarita.... or maybe several nice cold margaritas.
