We are taking our girls (5 and 6) to a Sara Evans, Brad Paisley concert on Friday. Sara Evans is my girls' favorite singer. Hannah told me the other day she wanted to marry her. So I think they will probably pass out when they find out where we are going.

My question is about the volume. Has anyone been to one of their concerts? Do you think they will need some sort of hearing protection? Does anyone have any suggestions on what works / what they would be comfortable wearing?

Thanks

Denae

Ok, I have no idea who you are talking about but if it is a "rock" concert you might want to get those foam ear plugs. It will be loud most likely.

I've been to quite a few country shows and seen younger kids with earplugs in. They can still HEAR the music, but it's muffled a bit.

I've seen the ones that just plug into the ear...and others that are attached to a 'head band' that went behind their neck.

enjoy the show!

I would probably get some and have them in your pocket just in case, they cant be that expensive.

I remember my first concert was Debbie Gibson :rotfl: when I was 7 and my brother was 4. He was totally in  with her. I remember he cried during the opening band's performace (it was very loud rock music and unfamiliar songs to him) but he just  the part with Debbie, and didnt complain about the volume there. :rotfl:

I would take some just in case.

The foam ones are about $1.50 from the sporting goods section of Walmart, etc.

Try the foam ear plugs prior to the concert. They're too big for some kids ears. If those don't work you can try cottonballs. Enjoy the concert.

Definitely get them some sort of ear protection. Regardless of what genre of music is playing, it is going to be loud and young ears are very sensitive. Your kids will still be able to hear the music and enjoy the show.
