I have been to disney many times with my husband and we are going again this Sept 24-Oct 2. On this trip my husband's brother,sister-in-law and their 2yr old daughter will be coming with us. :) I am lookig for some tips and advance on how to make this a fun trip. I am worried about lines and what rides she can go on. I know rides like Winnie, Peter Pan, Dumbo etc. are ok, but what about Animal Kingdom and Epcot. They will only be going to the parks for 3 days and they will have the hopper pass.I could use all the help I can get!! :thumbsup2 Thank you so much in advance!!

You don't mention "how 2" the little one is....I have different advice for a "just 2" and an "almost 3".

Our DS was an "almost 3" the last trip, at Epcot he loved Nemo, JII w/Figment, and the Grand Fiesta Tour (Mexico's ride). He was ok on Maelstrom, but it did startle him a bit. We skipped turtle talk with crush, b/c DH didn't want to do it again, but its another good one for the little ones.

At AK, he loved the safari and actually still talks about going over the waterfall on Kali River Rapids. We didn't do as much at AK and frankly are going to skip it this trip as the heat v. things to do equation doesn't balance for us.

You don't specify DHS, but the Playhouse disney is a hit, as is TSM. Add in VOTLM, the muppets and the HISTK playground and you've got a pretty good day for the wee ones.

It really depends on the little girl. DD is 20 months (not quite 2) and fearless. She went on POTC, teacups, you name it. Anything she *could* go on. I'd say just know what she can go on (which is mostly everything except the coasters) and gauge it from there. She may be a trooper too!

What worked great for us w/toddlers:

* Bring a small soft sided cooler bag in parks w/you...stock w/sippy cup, extra juice and familiar snacks. This is great to have on hand when kiddo needs a drink/snack NOW and they won't have to wait in line or search all over for apple juice...which I think is now a bit tricky to find as it is rarely on the drink carts.

* Visit every playground at the park to let the little one run around and have a nice break from the stroller.

* Be prepared...3-D shows & fireworks are often too intense and loud. Show her how to cover ears!

* Bring own stroller...don't spend $$$$ to rent!

Stroller is a MUST!! Last year I went with my two DD (5 & 1) .

Bring snacks & drinks so you don't have to rush around or wait in line during a meltdown.

You may find yourself riding the same ride over and over again, if she finds one that really suits her fancy. We rode "Its a small world" many, many times!
Bring a change of clothes & sandles so if DD wants to play in one of the water areas, you can change her up into dry clothes.

Characters - this can go either way. From afar my 1 year old loved the characters, up close she absolutely freaked out! thankfully the characters are very good about standing back when kids are scared.
