I love most WDW restaurants, both table service and CS, but sometimes it’s just more relaxing to go back to our villa to eat and not have to drag my kids along.
But we don’t want to miss out on the wonderful food!

Do you know of any restaurants, TS or CS, in parks or resorts or DTD, providing takeout?
Thanks!:goodvibes

I have gotten take out from some of the resort restaurants. I have also gotten it at some of the counter service locations in the park. You just have to ask.
Kona's we just wanted desserts to go so we could eat while watching the fireworks. They were very nice about it.
Sunshine Seasaons - have done this on numerous occasions.
Roaring Forks, foodcourt at POR and Pop

Unfortunately most TS venues do not do takeout, they are not equipped for it.You would have to go for your adr, be seated, order and then request it be boxed to go.They won't allow you to order at the podium and take it out

There was a thread last week that talked about ESPN at the Boardwalk providing Take Out and adding an 18% gratuity to it
I agree, very few TS restaurants are equipped to provide a meal via take out.
You could always order pizza or the like from an off site vendor if that helps

Thanks for your suggestions! :flower3:
we know we could order food offsite, but it just wouldn't be Disney food! we can get pizza anywhere...

we are staying at BCV, so ESPN and Sunshine Seasons could work. Anything else? :)

As other have posted, most in park restaurants are not setup for take out. Even the CS places. They may not have closeable food containers, bags or drink holders. Some may be able to give you another plate to put on top and maybe some foil. So be prepared for the worst.

Also for Sunshine Seasonings your food is going to be very cold by the time you get it back to your Villa. I'm guessing 20 to 30 minutes once you get your food.

You are not the first to ask. Right before Via Napoli opened there was a big discussion about if you could get take out pizza there. When it opened it was a big no. But people went to great lengths to get their pizza. They would make an ADR, sit down, order, have it delivered to the table and then ask for everything to be boxed up. Well the biggest problem was that they didn't have pizza boxes. Just the normal styofoam clam shell boxes, but they soldiered on and proudly took their cold, never meant to be takeout, soggy, crammed into a small box, $30 pizza back to their room.

Well, you know, Beach Club Marketplace offerings are slightly depressing... there is not much CS in the area!
I agree this Via Napoli solution is a bit much, though

BCV has a pretty extensive room service menu. :thumbsup2

I'd much rather do that than bring lukewarm, soggy food back to the room from some park restaurant. Especially Sunshine Seasons....that's a long, long walk from BCV. Since you have a villa, you'd be able to reheat it, but it just won't be the same.

I've also found that they're usually willing to bring you something from the menu of the resort's restaurants, if there's a particular dish you want to try and it's not on the room service menu.

When we have stayed at the Beach Club, we did takeout from several EPCOT CS restaurants:

Sunshine Seasons (the roasted beet and goat cheese salad and the grab and go sushi both traveled well)

French Boulangerie- delicious sandwiches. They wouldn't let us take the creme brulee to go. They said it wouldn't make it back to the resort in the July afternoon heat. The chocolate mousse was good, though.

Tangierine Cafe- they have decent takeout containers for their delicious meals.

One problem we encountered is that they don't have any plastic bags if you are trying to carry more than one meal. Once we asked for a shopping bag from the Soarin' gift shop and on another occasion, we brought our own bags.

Hurricane Hanna's at the Stormalong Bay pool has hamburgers and other sandwiches you can bring back to your room.

When it comes to Table Service Restaurants you can take out from the ESPN Club at the Boardwalk Inn/Boardwalk Villas. Plus you can also take out Sushi from the Kona Island Sushi Bar at the Polynesian.

As for Quick Service locations you can take out from Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney Marketplace.

Fantastic, thanks! :woohoo:

What kind of containers did they have?

1) Yes.
2) But, in many cases, this is a good thing.
3) What is so special about "Disney" food?

Well, it seems there are thousands of enthusiasts about it, especially on these boards!
And having to travel 5.000 miles (from Italy) :scared1: to get to Disney, we would like to fully experience it!

Of course, we are not having takeout everyday, we have also planned a few TS meals

I comletely agree with you. We come a long way and while two or three weeks seems like a long time at Disney, it isn't. There are times you want to bring it back to the room and relax. I would gladly pay the gratuity to take it back to the room. You want the whole Disney experience, including the food

I understand.
But to "fully experience" it, you need to eat it at the restaurant where it is designed to be eaten. It is just not optimized for Take Out at WDW.
Sorry
How old are your children? Can you enjoy some sit down restaurants, or is that for another trip?

Hey, I live in Turin too! :) Although I work in Milan...

We will enjoy quite a few character meals (Cape May and Akhersus for sure - can't wait!), but we will do it at breakfast: the 6 - hour difference helps in getting up very early, but in the evening the kids will be smashed!

Another place you can get take out food in the Boardwalk area is Picabu's at the Dolphin- it is a 24 hr cs place (does not take Disney dining plan or room key charges through). They have the ability to package any of your food to go.

Thanks for that! I had seen the menu, but not for a long time. My kids LOVE room service... I know it says 9 and under but I hope my DD would be able to order kids' food off the all day kids' menu - does anyone know?
