I thought the CB was a lot tamer when we also had a debate board but I try to look past the negative posts and concentrate on the posts where people really reach out to one another.

There are some really god people on the DIS, also some trolls and people I would never talk to in real life but that is why there is an IGNORE function. I only look at posts from DISers that have not peeved me off yet...

I don't know--I don't think the CB is all that bad.

I saw some poor poster over on the Theme Parks board who got blasted for asking if she was allowed to bring alcohol into CRT.

See and this is what I don't get! The CB has this bad reputation on the other forums but they ALL have their hot button issues too and are so totally not flame proof! Yet every once in a while someone from the "other forums" comes over here with an attitude like it doesn't happen anywhere but on the CB. So not true.

There are people who are always going to be rude and negative throughout their life. Hell, some of us has encountered such people at WDW. But I look at it as it's THEIR PROBLEM, NOT MINE. I get annoyed when you make a comment and someone has to act like you're being rude. I think people read WAY too much into things and think it's always a negative comment. On one post, when a poster wrote how MGM was extremely crowded during the cheerleading competition, all I asked was if they used TGM and if they used FP. I got someone blasting me because they thought I was being condesending, when it wasn't the case.

I don't respond to comments too much becasue why argue with strangers on a Disney Message Board? It's pathetic if you have to go to that level.

sorry you feel it's negative. i love it here. like some of the above posters, i've gotten some good advice and information. some people are just rude, but unfortunately sometimes so am i, but i haven't been rude on here yet. pick and choose what you get into and you will do fine. also, there are some of the funniest things on here. i always get a laugh. i also am amazed at people who ask things that i want to know myself but never asked. sorry, i'm rambling.

First off, welcome to the DIS!

When I joined I was pretty much looking for info on our trip. I would occasionally take a peek at the CB, and honestly I was a bit intimidated! (Even though I saw, and even got involved in, some heated debates on other threads.)

But, once the trip was over, I started hanging out over here, and found that I love it! There are so many wonderful people here, and a few nuts too. You've already met a few of the great ones who have already posted on this thread. As for the nuts....one one hand they make things more interesting, and on the other, they're in real life too. You can ignore them, let them know you don't agree with them, or just watch the train wreck as it unfolds! I find myself doing all three at different times.

Its all good. Its just that sometimes newbies may not pick up on even the smallest inuendos. Heck, even yours slipped right past me. Moral of the story...the CB is a very dynamic board and very fast moving.

OP, again...welcome to your new family. We are sometimes very disfunctional, but we all have something in common...the love of Disney. Please stick around.

Hello Bosstoboss I am a very kind person and I enjoy the magic of Disney I hope you will be okay and that you will still enjoy the magic of Disney I know that you did not say anyone flamed you, but you seem upset, because others have been flamed.

I have been flamed myself ( we can talk about me being flamed in pm ) But no one is going to stop me from enjoying the magic of Disney I make up my mind that I am going to be happy and that I am going to enjoy life
