Take Stroller or rent one?

We are heading to WDW in 3 weeks. Wondering if we should pack our stroller or not. DD is 3 and DS is almost 6. The stroller we have is only a single and we only ever use it for the 3-year-old, and it's rare that she ever even uses it anymore. We only keep it in the back of the van as a "just in case" and because we have the room. But because the van will be packed full of stuff for the trip I'm wondering if we even need to bother - maybe we should just rent a stroller at WDW if she gets tired of walking (which I'm sure she will)??
What do you all think? :confused3
Are the strollers at WDW big enough that our almost 6-year-old boy could sit in it with the 3-year-old if he gets tired too?
Thanks!

Take your stroller. At that age, your daughter will use it alot and probably sleep in it. Renting only makes sense for the 6 yr old, who might need it late in a particularly long day.

I always bring my own, That way I had it for Down Town Disney and things like that!!!!! I found it much easier!

We had planned on renting for our 5 yo (at this point in life we didn't want or think we needed another one) but after looking at the price of renting and not having a stroller outside of the parks (evenings and such) we decided it would be just as cheap to buy one and then have it for when we needed it (airport).

Even though your kids rarely use a stroller anymore, I would think walking around all day in the parks will be a different story. Your 6yo may be able to go all day without a stroller, but I would doubt that your 3yo would. If you are going to take a mid day break and go back to your room, then that might make a difference, but you never know. As far as renting a stroller goes, they do have double strollers in all the parks...this will be plenty big for both kids and if one of them is walking, you can put all your purchases in it. I know if you'll be there multiple days you can get a discount, but not sure how that works. Also, as long as you keep your receipt and you're hopping to another park, you just pick up another stroller there at no charge.

Another idea: Pick up a cheap umbrella stroller(or 2)at Walmart for about $15ea. It will fit in your car much easier than a full size. If it were me(and it's not, I know :) ), I would want to know that I have my own stroller in case it's needed and not have to rely on Disney.

I think I will go ahead and take the stroller. You all make great points. And as a matter of fact - we do have an umbrella stroller also, so maybe I'll just take them both and be done with it.
How much is it to rent the Disney strollers? I ask because it might be nice to rent one of the double strollers if we are in the middle of the park, both little ones get tired and we don't feel like going back to the resort to get the stroller out of the van at that point.

I think they are $10 for a single and $18 for a double.

When we went with our girls at that age, the 5 yr old walked the entire 4 days, and the almost 3 yr old spent a lot of time in the stroller. My husband is a fast walker, my oldest daughter is very athletic, and my youngest is very tiny for her age. I'm somewhere in the middle :rotfl: I'd just take an umbrella stroller - no need for a huge deluxe one for a 3 yr old, unless you think it will be needed for napping?

If the 6 yr old gets tired, into the trip, rent a double stroller and leave the umbrella one back at the resort. Or have the kids switch off on the umbrella stroller!
