So, I left off that we had headed back to Pop to see our room. We were in the Tramp building on the 4th floor facing the pool. Totally what I wanted!!! That meant we had a refurbed room and I couldn't wait to check it out.

New paint on the walls and bedspreads

New flatscreen tv's and dressers (it was quite hard getting all of our clothes in those drawers)

New curved shower curtain

New privacy curtain and hooks

Once we checked out our room, we noticed our luggage wasn't there yet. So, we all walked over and got our luggage and carry-ons. When we got back to the room, we noticed we had forgotten to pick up our case of water. So, Tony went back down and picked that up for us. I started unpacking while he was gone and I decorated our window.

If you read my TR from last June, you'll notice that I recycled some of our decorations from last year.

Anyways...after we were all unpacked we freshened up and headed out to the bus stop. Here are some pics I snapped along the way.

We were on our way to AK for EMH and there was no one else in the AK line! We only had to wait a few minutes for the bus and we were on our way by 3:25pm. At this time, I noticed we would probably miss the parade. Oh well. Next time!

We arrived at AK a little after 3:30pm and we noticed it was really busy!

So many people!

There were just people everywhere. We decided to go over to Dinoland first for Tony & Maddie to ride Dinosaur. We got distracted along the way and went to see some friends instead:

After our meet & greet, we went over to Dinosaur, but it was a 50 minute wait and there were no FP's left. So, we went over to Asia to check on EE.

Well, it was not up and running at that time. What the heck! We decided to go check on the wait time for KS, but first we needed a drink. It was SO hot! So, we went and got a frozen chai. I had been dying to try one of these and let me tell you...it was AMAZING! We all shared it as we walked over to Africa.

So yummy!

When we got to KS, it only had a 10 minute wait and it was about 4:30pm. We knew that it wouldn't be open during EMH, so we got in line. I just wanted to sit back and enjoy the ride instead of snapping pictures, so I'm sorry that these were the only pics I took.

Yup, the lions were actually awake! Those were the only pics I took on the entire safari.

By the time we were done with KS, it was 5:20pm. We decided to go see the 6pm show of FOTLK. My favorite! We hadn't seen this show since Jan 09 and I was really looking forward to seeing it again. But first, we had to use the restroom. Let me tell you, that bathroom at Camp Minnie-Mickey is gigantic!!! And, there was no one else in there. It was so strange seeing it so empty over there for once. Anyways...the plan for after the show was for Tony & Madison to ride Dinosaur and then we'd head to EE so Tony could ride it. Remember, I couldn't ride either one of these.

We sat in the Lion section and once again, the show was fantastic! It just gives me goosebumps! As we were leaving Camp Minnie-Mickey, guess who we saw....Minnie & Mickey! They were doing a special meet & greet together for EMH guests (so we had to show our room keys to get in line to meet them).

I just love their safari outfits!! Too cute!

At this time, Tony and I were super hungry. I said I'd like to try Flametree so that's where we went (I thought it was still closed for refurb, but it wasn't). We shared a pork sandwich, Tony had the beans, chocolate mousse and a sweat tea. We ate the whole tray of food in minutes. We were starving! Madison still wasn't hungry, so we weren't going to force her to eat. After dinner, Tony & Madison went over to Dinosaur. The standby line said 30 minutes, so they got in line (this was around 7:10pm). I took Tony's backpack for him and decided to walk around and take pics. I told him I would meet them over by EE.

I noticed that ever since we got out of FOTLK, the crowds had really thinned out. It was great! AK is so peaceful and gorgeous at night.

Coming up next...will Tony get to ride EE before EMH is over??

The new rooms were great! I really loved the privacy curtain. It's rather thin, but amazingly, it does keep the majority of the light out of the "main" room. Madison and Tony never woke up while I was getting ready in the morning.

The privacy curtain was my favorite part about POR! Nothing like being able to put my make up on while DBF sleeps away! I'm glad they're integrating this into the values, too!
I love your PP pics-- especially the family shot of you guys in front of the Tree of Life! I know Tony didn't plan it, but the navy of his shirt looks perfect with yours/Maddie's orange tops!

Oh, it's so fun to see the outfits that we have seen and read about on your PTR "in action." Aw, I do remember what it was like to tour Disney pregnant, not so much fun to sit out all the fun rides. I really missed some of them. Love the character pictures. Madison is so cute! Love Ak at night (especially when it clears out).

It was so much fun! I was really worried at first because of all the people we saw. But, it definately cleared out once EMH started.

Aren't they so cute? I've always wanted to meet them in their safari clothes.

The new rooms at Pop were great. They have new carpet now too. We did end up putting some of Tony's clothes in the little cubbies instead of the drawers, but we made it work.

I really love decorating my window. It's so much fun!

They were so nice! I really want to stay at other resorts, but we just love Pop so much.

EMH at AK is now a must-do....so awesome.

I think the original plan was denim shorts with the leopard shirt, but she didn't want to change. She wore the black shorts on the plane and was already comfy.

I was really bummed I couldn't ride EE. Everytime Tony came off a restricted ride, I would ask him if it was really bumpy. He never had any good news.

I was pregnant with Madison when we went to Disney in March of 2002. I was feeling pretty good until halfway through the trip. Then, the all day sickness really kicked in. Luckily, it was after we had done the parks. At least on that trip, Tony got to ride everything with my sisters and I got to hang out with my parents.

Thanks! I liked my hair too...it's a little longer right now and I just had my roots done on Friday (doctor approved). The roots are pretty dark compared to the highlights, but I need to make a decision on what I want to do with it.

It was definately a treat to meet Mickey & Minnie together during EMH. So cute!

The frozen chai was SO GOOD!! I'm surprised that Madison liked it so much. I think it has some cinnamon in it so it gives it just a touch of spice.

Flame Tree was really good. The pulled pork sandwich was so yummy.

How come everyone has these cool lion pictures but me? I NEVER see them awake! I'm lucky if I see the top of their heads!

The wait time for Dinosaur was ridiculous. I thought it wouldn't be so bad since it was during the parade.

They're not actually window clings. They are just pieces of paper. I got them on the Creative DISigns threads. People typically use them on t-shirt transfers, but we use them to decorate our windows!

Thanks! I was really bummed about missing out on the rides, but I got over that quickly. Madison was mostly upset about me missing out on Space Mountain...she wanted me to be able to ride it with her for her first time.
