Hi -

Has anybody every ordered any take-out from table service restaurants? I though I might "snack my way around World Showcase" and I'd love a bowl of soup from La Cellier.

Has anybody ever gotten take-out from La Cellier? I'd like to get the soup "to-go" and eat as I stroll.

Just curious :confused3

We tried once about 1 1/2 years ago and the CM at the check in podium rather rudely laughed at us and told us smugly that as they are fully booked months in advance and turn people away daily, that no way would their chefs consider taking the time to do a take out order. She wasn't very nice when she told us either and acted like we were stupid for asking.

I had read somewhere that you could, but I tried in December and they wouldn't.

Maybe wires were crossed? The cheese soup is a regular offering at the Food & Wine Festival every year, when you can get a small serving to take away. So if someone was there in September or October, I could see thinking that.

My partner loves the Cheddar Cheese soup at the Canada pavilion. If you ask, they will serve you a cup to go. It does seem smaller than what you would receive if you ate at in the restaurant, but it is hard to tell. Fabulous soup though!
