Take Away food

Do any restaurants allow for take away food? I'll be going down solo next month and would love to call some resort restaurants to order food and then pick it up and take it back to my room. Do Disney restaurants do this?

No, they don't. They're not equipped or staffed to handle both diners and take-out.

However, counter service meals can be packed to-go once you've ordered them - just let the cashier know - and table service meals can be ordered at the table then the remaining food packed in a doggie bag.

Or you can dine out solo.

They're just not set up to do takeout at WDW restaurants, and by and large, they won't do it. Some restaurants do, sometimes, if they're not busy, but it's not a consistent thing. I've heard more reports of people having success getting takeout in the resort restaurants, it seems to be quite rare in the theme parks.

All you can do is ask at the restaurant and see if it's available.
