This may sound a little strange, but whenever we go to Six Flags we like to bring a cooler with our lunch and go out into the parking lot to eat. We do this to save a little $$$$.

I was wondering if Universal would frown upon people doing this.

Thanks.

I don't know if you're allowed to do it, but remember that parking at Universal is in a large, concrete, multistory garage. Like all garages of this type, it has an aroma of exhaust fumes and rubber, which may not be the most appetizing place to have lunch.

Ya, you most likely can do it but most likely wouldn't want to. You'd want to get your cooler and carry it out of the parking garage to a nicer area.

You can bring food into the park. No glass, etc, and I'm pretty sure the cooler should be small, but still, you can bring it in. We use an Igloo MaxCold backpack cooler for our waters and little snacks. We prefer to eat the food there; love the veggie burgers at Richter's, and sometimes DS can convince us to do a sitdown for the cheese ravioli at Lombard's, and 3 Broomsticks can be tasty goodness....but we do bring snacks and such, and waters.

Here are the rules

Acceptable items:

Bottled water
Small snacks that do not require heating
Any food required for medical purposes and medicallyindicated nutritional supplements
Any food required for special dietary needs
Baby food/baby formula
Soft-sided insulated bags no larger than 8.5" wide x 6" high x 6" deep

Prohibited items:

Picnic lunches
Food that requires heating or refrigeration
Alcohol and glass containers
Hard-sided coolers
Soft-sided coolers larger than 8.5" wide x 6" high x 6" deep
Coolers, suitcases, and bags with wheels
Please be advised that all bags and personal items are subject to inspection.

You can tailgate, but as others have said I wouldn't. You can also carry snacks/food into the park. We have taken in sandwiches, chips, juice boxes, sodas, etc. We just put it in a back pack type bag and a small insulated bag with a ice pack for things that need to be kept semi cold. No glass and No wheels on your bag....
