Maybe, on our next visit---NC Beast and I would eat it for lunch or dinner (or if at 11am---breakfast).

I need to get some extra $$$ flow to go again within a year.

I got to tell NC Beast my good byes---he is going to work soon.

Hello, hello! Is anyone home?

What a day! I went to the doc this a.m., and told her I would be 50 in December. That's not a problem except that I'm only going to be 49, which my mom reminded me tonight. I can't wait to get down to WDW for a dose of Disney ... my poor brain is mush.

Then I came home, caught up on the DIS, then I had to leave to go get Kelley from summer school PE. Katie has a very typeA very very active wild child visiting from Nashville. She is so HYPER and although I've known her since she was 3, and I love her, she could make a saint nuts! We went to Graeter's and I didn't get any!!! (Desperately trying to fit into new bathing suit.) Katie had a Dr. appt. this afternoon, and after that, I took all the girls to the mall to find a dress for me to wear to Palo on the cruise. We came home with a homecoming dress for Kelley instead. It's much easier to find size 1's that fit her obnoxiously cute little figure than a size (blank) to fit my not so little one. It was only $25 though, marked down from $120. Not bad, huh? Bichon Barb would be proud if she were still here.

Then we went to Max and Erma's for dinner. Do y'all have those in KY, Deadheadbelle and llebrekniT, or in Indiana, Lewski709? Apparently Max and Erma started the chain here in Columbus, but I don't know how widespread it is away from here.

Ed is in Michigan tonight, so I'll be around, in and out for an hour or so, for a change. I don't see any pool parties or anything going on. It figures... <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_13_2.gif' alt='Darn' border=0></a>

Hey iluvtink!! Yep, we've got Max & Erma's down here in Ky. llebrekniT & I just ate there last week for lunch with the kids. Yesterday we had lunch at Steak 'n Shake!!! Do you have those? mmmm, my favorite.

So, there is a rumor on the "waiting for AP rates" thread that some Travel Agent from another board posted that she spoke to a CM this morning & the AP rates for fall were supposed to be released today, but there was a computer glitch. She said they should be out very soon. I'm going nuts waiting. I'm tired of getting up early to call. ilt, can't you do something about this? I mean, you are a certified Disney Specialist,, right? Can't you call marketing & tell 'em to get their butts in gear?

:wave2: DHB and iluvtink

Iluvtink--you may have tag envy---but I have trip envy
::yes::

I need another WDW fix real bad.

Anyone has advice for teens in love (see the Tag. Island thread)?

Hey DHBWITHNOPLACETOSTAYATWDW!!!:teeth: Yep, I prefer the term, "Pixie Dust Specialist" but it all means the same thing! I will call first thing in the a.m. and remind them that Mickey wouldn't want his friends in KY to be roomless. That should get them moving. Katie has a dentist appt. at 9:20 a.m. so I won't be able to post the answer until we get home.

We do have Steak and Shake here and I love it too. When we were househunting, my realtor and I ate there every day at Polaris mall.

NC Belle - sorry you're <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_6_26.gif' alt='Sick In Bed' border=0></a> with <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_6_4.gif'alt='Cruising' border=0> <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_8_7.gif' alt='Star 16' border=0></a></a> <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_10_15.gif' alt='Green' border=0></a>. Neither one is pretty. Wanna come with??? ::yes::

Hey, ican'tkeepupwithyourlovelifeball27!!!

Iluvtink --I would go, but my only sibling/sister is getting hitch in the fall and I want a washer/dryer set real bad. I also need furniture, office furniture for the spare room, new computer, and the list goes on.

Not only I have WDW trip envy, but Ireland trip envy. My in-laws and 2 of my nephews are there almost for the whole month of July. They even left on our anniversary. Maybe, I snag another trip soon.

Hello, All!

I'm back from the beach. It was fun, but coulda been funner. Put 18 fam-damily members together in one house for a week and that's what you get!

So, did some HEAVY-DUTY SKIMMING to catch up and probably missed everything! But here's what I remember to respond to:

1--YES, I did wake up and call bright and early to get our PS for the October TAG meet. I had RSVP's from the group for 13.... I rounded to 16 to be safe. Crystal Palace, October 12, 10:30 a.m. Be there or be square.

2--Lewski709 Movin', huh? Wish I could be there to house-hunt with you! I actually enjoy that part. Looking at houses and imagining how my stuff would fit, how I'd redecorate (LOVE that part), etc. is lots of fun! ::yes::

Let me just say my agents earn their money ::yes:: For our first purchase we took 3 house-hunting trips of 10 days each (actually 2 travel days so 8 days of looking each time)....we were moving from Jacksonville, FL, to Washington, DC, area....so those trips were it for looking! We saw at least 25 houses each day! HUGE area to look in....agent was all over the place trying to find something suitable that we could afford. Ended up getting a new construction that the buyer had walked away from only 1 month from completion. :)

Second time....with an 16, 17, or 18-month-old in tow and 6, 7, or 8 months pregnant on those 3 trips! Not near as many houses to see in the Chesapeake area ..... first trip was spent "neighborhood shopping" and other 2 trips house-hunting....probably 10-15 houses each day! And yes, my agent still talks to me :) She was GREAT and I recommend her to all my friends :)

Looked at some of the houses you referenced....from the photos I like #188024 the best :) Those quad levels are kinda neat. We almost got one in No. Va. You ever been in one? Just imagine a regular 2 story house....then split it right down the middle.....and shift one half of it up half a story....and put short staircases between each level. Works out really neat :) Good luck with the hunt!!

3--Bichon Barb LOVE the new siggie picture ::yes::

More in a minute
:) Katie

4--Deadheadbelle Saw you ask about "what makes a group for PS purposes?" but not sure if anyone answered you. MOST of the Disney restaurants consider 13 or more a group and to make a PS for a group you have to call group dining and get limited time choices....either the first or last 20 minutes of each meal's seating. There are a few exceptions to that rule (one restaurant is 11 or more but for the life of me I don't remember which one!) so call ahead and ask. If you don't like the limited dining times, make 2 PS for the same time (you will have to give different names and phone numbers as their system won't let you hold 2 at the same meal at the same restaurant :) ) and simply ask to be put together or near each other when you check in at the podium. Be REALLY sweet when asking 'cause they don't have to do it but I will tell you that they did it for our group of 20 several times in December ::yes:: BEWARE if you do call group dining....there is one particular cast member who works that line who doesn't really have the Disney spirit if you know what I mean :( I call her the "dragon at the gate" and that's not a good thing!

5--I see CONGRATS are in order for ohanafamily and RRBBwhoistoobusytogoonvacation!! Now just gotta find a name you can both agree on :)

6--iluvtink Dinner at CRT is YUMMY! The old fireworks viewing was better than Wishes, but the food is good so there's still a reason to go! Don't remember what I had (years ago!) but DH still talks about the Prime Rib he had....and the dessert that came with mango sorbet was out of this world! ::yes::

7--Cheeringmom Sorry I didn't see your question before I left. DH's promotion was to LCDR. But, I either can't remember to say it or stumble over it when I call the office so I still call him LT! :) Just too big and bulky sounding  I could always make him a "telephone CDR" as they say, but that might make his ego swell even more so I refuse  His promotion was nice. The ADM said some nice things about him (DH was one of his briefers for awhile) and some old colleagues were able to come, too, so he was pretty happy. The kids were even somewhat behaved. :) And his office mates were LOVING the spread I laid out for them, so it's all good :)

I know, I know....LONG POST. Sorry. Been gone more than a week. Whatdya expect?

:) Katie

katie Welcome home! After a vacation like that, I bet you're glad to get some peace and quiet. We did one like that in Gatlingburg one summer with three 4-BR chalets and about 35 people. We tried to cook meals for everyone and eat together. What a mistake. We will never do a type-A vacation like that again. Now taking a bunch to WDW where someone else is cooking and entertaining and washing dishes is my idea of a great vacation!!! In fact anywhere where someone else is cooking etc. would be great!

I would summarize for you, but alot of the threads both on the Island and here in Canada is our teenie friends ... maybe some new ones while you've been gone ... and my poor brain cannot keep up with who likes who, who is going out with who, who is hitting on who, etc. If you figure it out, let me know!!! ;)

:wave:Goodnight!

I really am going off-line soon. Must avoid reading about resorts and food. I am turning greener by the minute. ;) :p

Breakfast is the Crystal Palace Buffet with hot looking servers.

Whoa! Huge thunderstorm coming! Gotta unplug the computer and batten down the hatches.

See y'all in the morning, I hope!

 ILT
