Rick I know all about you and that deep secret obession with Clay.....Joe, don't be too jealous. It happens all the time when people see Clay!!!

Morning all!

OK, I read last night's post and realized I made things sound a little scary

A Tissue Mineral Analysis shows you what elements are in your cells. (Unlike a blood test, which would only show what's in your blood). For example a blood test may show that you have adequate levels of calcium, but the tisse test could show that the cells don't...therefore your body is not using/converting/storeing the whatever. Ratios of certain elements are indicators of certain conditions (not necassarily a diagnosis of one). For example, excessive thyroid activity lowers tissue calcium...insufficient thyroid activity raises tissue calcium levels. My calcium level is through the roof....my calcium/potassium ratio, which ideally should be 4.0 is 69.80! My iron is very low...hence the suggestion for more protien in the form of lean red meat
My sodium and potassium levels are low, relative to magnesium and calcium which suggests adrenal insufficiency and hydrochloric acid deficiency.

The suggested change in diet (which is minimally different from the low carb/high protein way I've been eating recently) is leaner meats, lower fat, no processed sugar/flour. (Sounds kind of South Beach to me). Then discontinue the multi vitamin I've been taking (sporadically!) and taking the supplements that I specifically need. Some of which are: yeast-free B complex, a time release vitamin C, natural vitamin E, another that provides the necessary balance of calcium and magnesium and another which combines zinc and some enzymes.

So, basically what the nutritionist is having me do, is eat and supplement properly to bring all the minerals into line to prevent any of the current conditions from becoming serious health issues ::yes::

Got this email from my hubby........

"Would you like to spend a weekend alone ... just the two of us ... I love you." (from dh)

Subject: Condo at the Beach

Condo available in Virginia Beach

I haven't said anything to anybody about this until now because I wanted
to wait until things were final. I just purchased a one-bedroom condo
near
the beach as an investment property. I finally closed last week. I
thought
that I would let you all know in case anyone is interested in
accommodations for an upcoming getaway.

It's available for weekends or on a weekly basis. For now, I will be
handling bookings until I place it with a rental company. Weekends will
cost about $100 for three nights and $275 for the week. I'm only
offering
this price to friends, co-workers and family. Prices will be different
for
others, but I can discuss that on an individual basis.

In any case, it's a one-bedroom, high-rise unit that overlooks the
water,
nestled among lush greens and it has a lovely view and it is close to
the
marina. See the attached photo. It's really nice and I'm very proud!!!
Let
me know if you're interested or anyone you know and trust is interested

Wow Cmom!

Congrats on having such a sweet hubby and on your new investment!

Both sound wonderful.::yes::

Dropping in to wish Danauk a belated too. Did you have a nice evening?

OK, sounds like I only have one Taglican (plus a Jordan?) coming so far. Gonna need more than that. I've bought ribs, hot dogs and chicken wings to go on the grill. Whose bringing dessert? Where is geffric when you need her/a good dessert? Is she ever coming back?

I'll be back in later to get a head count.:wave2:

Bichon, a little of topic here but your dog is so cute!!!! :D

Thanks goin2disneyagain. I actually have two of them. Beanie the Meanie (age 1) is in the picture, but I also have Otto Von Snotto (age 4).

Don't let Beanie's cuteness fool you. She is pure evil. Yesterday I came home from work to find that she got into my watercolor supplies. She shredded about three of the paintings I made. I mean there were pieces everywhere! Luckily I really stink at watercolors, so no harm done. :teeth:

Today I came home to one broken pair of the kids sunglasses and two destroyed plastic cups.

I think she even gets on Otto's nerves. ;)

So do you have any dogs? Please tell all! And welcome to the Tagliarchy! :wave2:

Nice place CHEERINGMOM!! ;)

IBOUNCE, have you had your thyroid levels check by your internist? (i.e. T4 and TSH levels?) Many people have hypothyroidism and don't know it. ::yes::

CADSMOM, I'm really bad about locking my car doors. I just don't have anything in there worth stealing. But I think I may have to change that after reading about your friends.

LLEBREKNIT, could me in! :Pinkbounc Beanie and Otto want to know if they can come and hang out with the pugs.

I'll head south and pick up everyone in VA and NC. Anyone else?

Thanks. I have a Lhasa Apsa. She is about 12 years old. She follows me everywhere. She is very sweet.

Aw. Lhasa's are cute. They are real lap dogs too, huh? Are they feisty?

Hey Ashton, what's the name of that song that goes like, "These are the moments these are the times, these are the best days of our lives"

I can't think of the name....or the artist for that matter!!

are you talking about the calling-our lives!?!? here's the lyrics!!!:teeth:

Is it love tonight
When everyone's dreaming
Of a better life
In this world
Divided by fear
We've gotta believe that
There's a reason we're here
Yeah, there's a reason we're here

Cause these are the days worth living
These are the years we're given
And these are the moments
These are the times
Let's make the best out of our lives

See the truth all around
Our faith can be broken
And our hands can be bound
But open our hearts and fill up the emptiness
With nothing to stop us
Is it not worth the risk?
Yeah, is it not worth the risk?

Cause these are the days worth living
These are the years we're given
And these are the moments
These are the times
Let's make the best out of our lives
Even if hope was shattered
I know it wouldn't matter
Cause these are the moments
These are the times
Let's make the best out of our lives

We can't go wrong
Thinking it's wrong
To speak our minds
I've gotta let out what's inside

Is it love tonight
When everyone's dreaming
Can we get it right?
Yeah, well can we get it right?

Cause these are the days worth living
These are the years we're given
And these are the moments
These are the times
Let's make the best out of our lives
Even if hope was shattered
I know it wouldn't matter
These are the moments
These are the times
Let's make the best out of our lives

She's definetly a lap dog alright. She's not as feisty as she used to be since she is older but she used to be pretty feisty. :)
