TAGLIARCHY Summer Escape!

Good Morning all! wow a vacation what a great idea, haven't been on in a couple thought I lost the site or something. going to read a couple of pages to see what has been happening.:wave2: princess:

 Hi Deb T. You must be walking on air and baited breath waiting to get going to WDW.

llebrekniT, I think I am going to find out with this one. But you know, knowing my personality and my son's I would probably have the kid that didn't show it either. That is too funny! :hyper:

I don't know whether I will be missing out on some sort of awesome expectation knowing this time around. I don't remember being all that thankful that we waited to find out with my son because I just "knew" the whole pregnancy that I was having a son. I am too practical of a person to do it again - or boring - but I just need to know what to get at all the great sales. I have a great wardrobe for a boy that will work season wise again this time around, but I just am freaked out about all the clothes you need to buy for a girl. I have gotten boy lazy - throw on a T-shirt and a non-matching pair of shorts with equally non-matching socks and you're ready to go with my son. My girlfriends all have their little girls match everything every day - cute little dresses with matching little shirts and panties. :scared1: I am so not ready for that so I would need the full six months to get ready fpr it and to hit the sales.

we have dogs now! you can't miss a day here . who is watching the mansion? the dogs? are they guarding the chocolate vault? nice place you picked BichonBarb.:wave2: princess:

Welcome Deb T.!!! single digit dance? I am so jealous!!! How long has your son been away from you? My DS is only 5, so I can't imagine him being away from me EVER!!! So, does he like the College Program?

castlegazer, I had a boy first, then a girl. Found out ahead of time both times. I couldn't stand to wait. Boy clothes are definitely easier, but girl clothes are way funner (yes, funner).

Castlegazer - yes, I'm soooo anxious to get down there! Only 9 more days!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

We took our ds down on May 16th so we could have a few days of relaxed fun before he checked into the program on May 19th. Then we sadly left him the next day.

We did get to see him for a couple days the first week of June when we flew him up for a family reunion. The reunion was a week-long event with the entire family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) gathering in one place from California, Texas, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, Florida, and North Carolina! Since he had just started the program, his new bosses could only give him two days off - but we were all grateful for the time with him!

This trip will be the first where we actually get to see him as a "cast member!" I am so excited about that! We are arriving on his 20th birthday - July 15th!

Deadheadbelle and all of you with young children - cherish every second you have with them - because they grow up so fast! It seems like my children were babies just yesterday and somehow I blinked and today they are young adults! I don't know where the time went!

We knew with both children if they were going to be a girl or a boy. I'm too much of a "planner" to not have known! It was fun getting their nursery ready, having a name picked out, and buying all those cute clothes before they arrived! :)

Welcome back iluvtink! How was Nashville? Did you get to see your DS? Wait a minute, you did go to Nashville, right?

When do you leave for your cruise? Which one are you doing? How long will you be gone?

This is the stress-free, no whining zone, so don't worry about catching up too much, skimming is accepted, heck, even encouraged here. ;)

Hey Deadheadbelle, thanks for the Welcome Back! You, too, llebrekniT.

Welcome Deb T. !!!! Stick around, you'll get addicted.

This is really a lovely place, and much less humid than where we just came from or where we're heading at the end of the month. You're right, llebrekniT, Uranus needs a lot of attention and has lots of energy to burn. Thanks for warning me! ;)

Yep, went home to Nashville and got to see DS ... once, which is better than nonce! He came over and ate dinner at my mom's house the night the girls, dogs, and I got into Nashville. Ed missed seeing him since he didn't fly in until Friday. DS will be 25 in late August, and I just don't know where the time has gone. He's grown into such a nice young man, but I'm not old enough to have a son that's any kind of man, yet! It's a bad time warp. He went to Myrtle Beach with friends on Thursday, and I assume he got back safe and sound last night. No news is good news with that one.

I had some good time with my mom, but after having lived within 20 minutes of her most of my adult life, it really is the pits knowing I'll most likely be 6-7 hours away for the rest of her life.
We made the trip in record time, by the way ... 6.5 hours with about 45 minutes in stops! KY was rolling last Wed. I almost got run over doing 80 in the slow lane. They must be putting speed in the water or something in the Bluegrass State.

We are leaving here the night of July 28 to go to stay with my BIL and SIL in Cinci, then driving from there to Indy on the morning of the 29th to fly out. It was cheaper from Indy, plus the return times from MCO to Columbus STINKS... 7:45 a.m. ... the only SW flight! We'll spend 3 nights at the Beach Club, and then go to the Wonder from Aug. 1-5 - 4 nights in all. We did this 3 years ago with one of the families that is going with us, and had a blast. I will spend one afternoon when everyone else is at Stormalong Bay just riding the buses around and checking out the different resort hotels that I haven't seen. It will help me to help my clients if I've seen it all.

I'm about to book a trip for an extended family of 11 from Nashville who haven't been to WDW for about 18 years ... only 5 of them have ever been. It will be a blast. The downside of this new profession is that by the time I send people off, I'm dying to go with them and see their reactions to everything. It's not fair to plan it and then not see the resulting magic!!!

Hey gang, I'm at the public library so I jumped on the computer.

I had an unexpected job interview today. It's full time which I hate to go back to I really love working part time but I will be better able to provide for my kids. But you guys I'm gonna really miss being with my little girl in the afternoon. That's the hardest part. My son is a little different as he is in school full time. What to do, what to do.

Not much else to report, though I am very jealous of all the single digit dancers.

unsure major wise,I may go in as a undecided to get cores out of the way and figure out my major(I'm thinking about english and theater to become a teacher or jouralism)

Popping in and popping out. Back from cheerleading camp, off to horseback riding lessons in a minute.

castlegazer - find out! What difference does it make if it's a surprise. At that point all you're after is getting that little sucker out! And besides, I can't stand not knowing, so you have to find out so you can tell me.

Iluvtink CincYYYYYYY. With a "Y"! Remember! Try, you can do it. Did you go down I-75?

Hey Rick! Did you do anything exciting in NYC for the 4th? Have you seen Spiderman 2? If so, did you see Bruce Campbell in it? Are you a fan of his?

We take I-71 straight to I-65 at Louisville and down. I waved at you and your SIL in case I was anywhere nearby at any time!

HEEELLLOOOOOOO KIDS, I'M HOOOOOOOOOOME.

Oh my doggies--did you miss me???!!!! (slober slober)

So how are things at the vacation home? I missed you guys. I see that the 1000 page Tagliarchy thread is still going. Do some of you not like my our new vacation home? :(

Anyway, we had a great time. The weather was perfect. DH survived his bobsled run (barely :teeth: ). We also took the gondola up to the top of Whiteface Mountain. I'll have to have DH download the photos and share them with you. :Pinkbounc

I haven't started reading the 30 something pages I missed. Hope you guys don't mind if I do a quick skim. No stress right? Just fun! :p

Hey everyone I'll have to check out the place when I get home tonight(I've got alot of reading to do) Just thought I would stop by and say hi

Hey there.

Nope, didn't do anything exciting at all. Joe and I pretty much stayed in all day Saturday and had friends over on Sunday for a mini bbq. Didn't see any movies but am a huge fan of Bruce Campbell (pretty dreamy if you ask me. gotta love the chin). Been a fan since the first Evil Dead!

Did go clothes shopping for the new job though. Found a beautiful Polo/Ralph Lauren suit and a few other things. Spent tons but all was needed!

Awww! But I love Uranus!

I think it's a perfect name since Barb is all about astrology, the planets and the stars and what not. I know she was so happy when we named him for her.

Plus, he just looks like Uranus.

I apologize that I'm so far behind. :( Is there some problem with Uranus's name? Here is how we can remedy that so that. For those who are embarrassed or uncomfortable with his name, you can start pronouncing it. U-RAN'-US. I mean, Uranus really does run us around. So I think that it's quite fitting. ::yes::

Hey everyone, things have been so busy these past few days!! Work is hectic as we break up next week for the summer, then this week I have been busy at the theatre with rehearsals for Les Miserables. Oh well, off to catch up with the posts.

I remember the last time we got into this discusson about 1100 pages ago, it was stopped. So, please, let us not get this thread closed AGAIN. Last time I was partly at fault, this time I will not get succked in to U.....
I mean Discussions about U......

Oh, get on with it, I will be over here trying to plan a micrimanagement roadmad for any potential daughters I may have. Do you think Student Body President and Head Chearleader are too much to expect at 13?

:bounce:

Hi OHANAFAMILY! I think what got us in trouble the last time was when the topic turned into fruit--which was more of an "R" rating. The planetary discussion is more of a "PG" potty humor type of thing, IMHO.

Besides, when other threads discuss topics like yeast infections, menstruation, circumcision and incontinenance (sp?), I don't think planetary discussion is so bad. ;)

If you love Bruce Campbell, go see Spiderman 2. He has a bit part, but he is hysterical!
