I love rain. I love the rainbows. The coolest place that I had seen rainbows was in the Connemara region of Ireland. Double rainbows and rainbows of all sorts were everywhere for miles. We pulled over in the amazement of such beauty. But, my leprechaun escaped. So we lost our pot of gold.



Okay, there were no leprechauns caught right then. But, on that trip my MIL did find a gold bracelet in a field.

Fruited Slaw

1/2 head cabbage (4 cups) diced
1 medium (or 2 small) apple .....I like Pink Lady's
1 medium banana
2 tbsp raisins
2 tbsp craisins
2 tbsp butterscotch chips
2 tbsp crushed nuts (pecans, walnuts)
1/2 cup Hellmans Light Mayo
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp lemon juice

Mix the mayo, milk, sugar and lemon juice into a dressing. Toss the other ingredients then coat with dressing.

I got a cleaning lady about 3 months ago and I can't tell you how GREAT it is. All I have to do now is laundry and dishes. No, we don't have a dishwasher.

I highly recommend the cleaning lady. Mine is $17/hr and comes every 2 weeks. Well worth every penny. It takes her between 5 and 7 hrs to clean it all.

All the reading of the smiley faces is getting a bit mundane.

I'm gonna hang around here for the lack of celebrations. I dressed everyone in red , white and blue today. We are a bit festive.

Had a cookout for my dad's birthday today, which is really tomorrow.

I'm ready to chill out and not be bothered by fireworks. In fact, I am bringing Amos along because he doesn't like them either. This is about the only time I will be with the farting dog. I hope he is nice to Venus, Pluto and Uranus. Just hope I don't call the vet for any emergencies. I mean, what will they think about Amos, Uranus, Pluto and Venus as names. They will wonder if I have completely lost it.
