My folks left Wed. morning---they had some bad weather going through VA.

Power did not go out last night, but we lost it for a few minutes different times Sat-Tuesday. Our yard asborbed a lot of the rain and NC Beast had to take it easy when he went to work during the storm.

Glad you were okay but sorry your parents hit bad weather :(

Well, it's late and this chick needs some beauty rest :p

See ya'll tomorrow....sweet dreams to all :wave2:

Hi everyone,

First thing is first, no one welcomed NHAnn. WELCOME!!!!!!
Also, I don't think goin2disneyagain got a proper welcome either.

So Welcome All!!!!!!!!!

Lewski709 OMG OMG OMG, congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everything will work out OK....

Laura, I think Lewski709 might sell you her house at a Dis-count (I had to say that)

Cheeringmom, I didn't see the picture of your new Beach home at first, and I was asking DW what she thought about renting it from you LOL! (OK, I never asked her, but I fell for it!)

llebrekniT, Can we come to the Bar-BQ too?

Bichon Barb, I noticed the new Siggie right off, but his mouth is CLEAN now!!! I still have to laugh about the Fairy God-Mother's song in Shrek2, and think of you!!!! (actually RRBB was so distracted I had to explain to her why it reminded us of you LOL)

TalkisCheap, Hurdles with Matt... Well, I will tell you that I would be lucky to do a 20 minute mile now, you are all in fantastic shape compared to me!!!

RickinNYC I just wrote a long bit about how they will miss you at Harvest, but your new job is important as well. Also, you won't feel guilty on your Vacations, You will be able to buy into DVC and get us a Grand Villa for the Next Tag-Meet!!!!. Will, I wrot it, and just that bit ate itself...Hmmmf

OK, I probably missed a whole buch of people, but I have to go back to the island to Catch up now.....Was busy at work today and DW is LOL on the Island about RickinNYC's name choices.

Okay, I've looked at the choices so far and think I like 188024 the best....I have issues with it being 'quad level' but things like that sometimes make a house all the more interesting. I just wish they'd show more pictures of the inside. Is it in a better or worse neighborhood as the others or are they all basically the same?

I like 192817 also but it seems kinda small at just under 1600sq ft....especially since your cute boys are growing like weeds :p

BTW, I'm looking these up using Realtor.Com .....is there a better website out there or can I assume all MLS listings come up the same on any website?

188024 I have issues with it being a Quad. We'll have to see it. It's the newest. But what's up with that coral arch above the window. That would HAVE to go. It has 4 br and 3 ba. Just more to clean with that extra bath. It has a hot tub too. :)

With a 1600sq ft ranch and a full basement, there would be plenty of room, # 192817. It's been listed a while. I like that, because then we can 'negotiate'. ::yes::

I use Realtor.com too.

Our current home:
Built 1917
1.5 story
3 br/2 ba
1800sq ft
Michigan Basement
Den
Sitting Room
Land the size of a double roll square of toilet paper

Wish I could move it and pour a full basement cheap. Love the woodwork and character.

Wowza! You guys sure got chatty late last night.

to our visitors!

Lew, you mean you would like a yard like this

or this

or was it the one in NY with woodchucks that really GOT ya?;)

I am SO happy for you! It's exciting, isn't it? You'll be fine. You did the right thing listing your house before you find the house you want and fall in love with it. When you get a good contract on yours, just throw in a little extra time on the closing date to allow you and your DH to find something. It will all work out perfectly.::yes::

P.S. There is a house for sale down the street from me....
:hyper:

Can't stay and play all day. :(

You guys try to have some fun and don't be too good.

Thanks cadburysmom, I needed to hear that. I know I'm doing the right thing and when I've voiced my misgivings to anyone in the office, they stare at me like I'm crazed. It's a great opportunity for non-profit guy like me.

Still gonna miss it here. :(

Hey RickinNYC ... any change of life is scary!!! hee hee Seriously, the fact that you are not turning cartwheels to leave City Harvest means that it has been good for you, and you have been good for it. You can still volunteer there, with Joe, right? What a great experience to share. Think about it that way ... you haven't closed any doors and you can always stay involved. (and make more $$ somewhere else at the same time!!!)

I called a realtor today to put our house up for sale.

NO I don't have a new job!!!!

I just really want to move. The neighbors suck on one side, our kids have no place to play and Bichon Barb, kadaten and llebrekniT really keep enticing me with their yards!!!! :p ;)

Lewski :wave2: Congrats on the OMG... except now you have to keep the house clean and shiny and picked up...

Actually, I always had to have a "call at least 4 hours in advance" when we listed a house, so I would have time to run around and pick up, hide stuff, and spit shine everything.

June Cleaver I am not.

Hey! No one said anything about my new signature pic!

How do you like it? Aren't they the most kissable things? :lovestruc

I just love them to pieces--when they are clean. :cloud9:

And isn't my desk ugly?

I love the kissable little furbabies ... BBarb ... just haven't seen the pic until right now as I'm trying to catch up! As long as they are gracing your desk with their presence, it can't look ugly.

Toby and Tucker are going for GIS next week before we leave for OUR DISNEY VACATION. Shhh, don't tell them. They'll freak out!

Hello! Have good news today; DH and I were pre-approved for a home loan.

It'll be our first house! We just gotta find it...

Okay, now I gotta read what y'all have been typing up.

Laura - Congrats!:bounce: What part of town will you be checking out? We like the boonies up here in Lewis Center, by the llama farms, but it's pretty far if you work downtown. DH works in Westerville.

:)

Okay, all caught up on both threads. Phew! That's some reading, especially with two dogs whining at your feet, trying not to have an accident or two.

Am I the only one here? I'm checking my User CP to see who's hiding as soon as I get back from walking the dogs.

llebrekniT - is it too late to RSVP for the ? I'll just take 71 to 75, right? I could pick up Laura on the way. I'll bring a selection of brownies ... german chocolate, marble swirl, deep dark fudgy, etc etc. What else can I bring?

Welcome to NHANN and MONORAILDUDE. Grab a beverage and join the conversation. :D

OHANAFAMILY, DIS-count? You are very punny. DH hasn't seen the new Shrek movie. I can't wait until it comes out on video.

So I watched Caddyshack the other night. I'm thinking the critters are gophers. Must find some pics on the web. Be right back...

I guess woodchucks, gophers and groundhogs are all the same thing.

Woodchucks
Scientific Name: Marmota monax
AKA whistlepig, groundhog, gopher,

(The Caddy Shack should have consulted with WDC )

Woodchucks also known as groundhogs, have a great reputation as being difficult to control. While it is true woodchucks can be difficult to trap, this fact is primarily due to the laws in various states rather than any inherent intelligence on the part of the woodchuck.

Description-
A stocky four legged ground animal. Face is pudgy with a large nose and a black tail. Has been known to climb trees up to 10 feet high. Weight: 7-12 pounds.

Life-Cycle
Hibernation: November-February

Breeding Season: Mating takes place in March.

Young disperse to new territory in July.

Activity: Daytime (But hibernates between November and February).

Bichon Barb And speaking of woodchucks....;)

How much wood
Could a woodchuck shuck
If a woodchuck
Could shuck wood?

(Say it 4 times fast!)

Sorry, couldn't resist :p
