OMG, are you serious?!?!?!?! Lainie is so much smaller...or at l east it looks that way!!!!:earseek: :teeth: ::yes::

Lainie reminds me of Sariah, a little 3 year old girl Heather and I sometimes babysit!!!:teeth: ::yes::

I am serious. Laine's birthday is 12/8, Ella's is 12/12. Both babies just had their 18 month check up. Laine was 60th percentile in height, Ella was 90th. Looks like llebrekniT may have a basketball star on her hands!!!!

Ok, here's a song for the ladies. Written by Norman Span, my favorite version was when The Grateful Dead performed it:

Man Smart, Woman Smarter

Let us put men and women together
See which one is smarter
Some say men, but I say no
The women got the men like a puppet show

Believe me, it's the people that say
That the men are leading the women astray
But I say that the women today
Are smarter than the men in every way

Chorus
That's right, the women are smarter
That's right, the women are smarter
That's right, the women are smarter
The women are smarter than the men today

Little boy sit on the corner and cry
Big man come and he ask him why
Says I can't do what the big boys do
Man sat down and he cried too

It ain't me, but the people who say
That the men are leading the women astray
But I say that the women today
Are smarter than the men in every way

[chorus]

I'm off to bed. Later taters.

catching up on posts now that everyone else is in bed and DH is in Michigan...

notinloveball27 - are you in Like? With who(m)? I KNOW someone said you were in love, cutie pie. What's the real scoop?

TalkisaboutMatt - if you're still here, have fun this weekend! What present are you bringing Matt from your trip?????????

My mother refuses to use the words "vomit" or "throw up". Instead she prefers "up chuck". As in "I don't know vie, but I sink I'm going to up chuck." I mean, who uses that word?!?!?

Just more thoughts to ponder...

Bichon B - still catching up...

MY mom uses that word too. She'll say, "did you upchuck last night?"

She also says "tight" instead of "drunk, plastered, schnockered or enebriated."

So I guess if I get too tight I might upchuck?????

Lewski - I just saw that you got a new tag, even though I guess by now it isn't new! When did you get it??? I'll have to go back and read the post that gave it to ya!

do ya like it okay?

Tball is over for the action man. Do you see that foot? He's got the lift going and steps into hitting, already. He gets to skip tball next year and go straight to coach pitch. The VP of Tball and Coach Pitch said he was too advanced to continue in Tball. I had nothing to do with it. I was really impressed. I am not the type who would insist he be moved because he was too good. BUT....when they came to us.....I was all kinds of proud. :teeth:

Well, still catching up. I may be the only one up now, so I'll walk the dogs before I go to bed. I still have about 6 pages to read... yes I said Read... no skimming by Kimmie tonight (like some people we know and love) :cheer2:

ProudMomski - that is such great news. If Chris could have skipped kid pitch and gone straight to coach pitch, he might still be playing baseball. Unfortunately, the coach only let his kid pitch, and he hit every single one of his teammates, except Chris, who was able to dodge them all, all season long. Then he put down his bat and never picked it up again. :( Oh, and your boys are just precious. I have a niece, Anna, who is a very cute 4 years old. She's an angel and would be a good catch. I'll have to try to post a picture of her. I'm not very good in the picture-posting dept.

BBarb - Your guys were dolls, too. I know you've posted recent pix of the boys, but I need to see them again, to compare young to old. Please?

Okay, here's breakfast for all you "early to bed" folks who didn't stay up to enjoy my delightful, entertaining, unforgettable company...

Chocolate chip Mickey Waffles (Uranus ate the first batch so I had to make more), fresh whipped cream with strawberries, hash brown casserole, and fresh squeezled OJ.

Enjoy!

Hey, my siggie is back, and I'm down to 20 days! yeee haaa!

Wait, it's gone again! It was there in my preview. I hope I haven't been siggie-swiped..

hmmm.... talking to myself in the middle of Nova Scotia (is that where we are) this late at night is like not much fun, man.

Happy trails to me,

Until I meet myself again...

What are you doing up still?

Sorry about the delay--I was looking at Amazing Grace's link on the main CB for her trip (One of her kids had a wish trip from GKTW.) She has a good looking family-I love the little girl with the curly hair. I am cleaning and straightening up some---little by little. My folks are coming Sat., but they haven't decided on long for their stay.

Belle - sorry I missed you. I finally dragged myself to bed and our O/T company left early this a.m., so I've had 4 hours sleep. not smart...

hopefully I'll see you around today. Since I have 2 weeks from yesterday to lose 9.5 pounds, I'm going walking this a.m. with my friend, Debbie. I need to walk at least 35 miles per day, I think.

:wave2:

Morning guys. This was any easy morning to catch up on. Lots of swimming, waving and clapping thatnks to Nephosaurus and oddball27

kadaten we use Belvoir and sometimes Ft Meyer. I love theri sushi. They are always fixing it fresh. What is the promition???

<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_2_12.gif' border=0></a> it hit the fan last night for me. My sis is coming tonight with her son who is taking a leadership camp in DC for a week. Well my ds was supposed to be here and play with her son when he got back from camp-they will be here an extra 5 days. anyway, my son has the opportunity to go to Boston with our visiting friends tomorrow until August 1. My sis is peod b/c now her son won't have anyone to play with for the 5 days he is here. I told her that they were really only coming out for the conference and my ds was just an added bonus. If they were coming here just for us then I would not let my son go to Boston. Not sure what to do. My ds wants to go to Boston but now she put the guilt trip thingie on me. What should I do???? Familie squabbles. ugh

off to do lots of work today.

I'm sorry I missed ya llebrekniT When does geffric get home? I miss our coffee talks in the am. I'll be back TB!!

How old is your nephew? Can he not entertain himself? I say let your son go to Boston if he wants. ::yes::

iluvtink, so glad to see you!!!! Are you so excited about your trip??? I am so excited for you. Hey, I have a Disney Specialist question for you. What is the largest table at CRT? We will have either 9 or 11 for dinner one night & are trying to figure out how we would need to be split.

It took me sooo long to get caught up this morning. I wish I could play with you guys at night.

Well, I'm here, but only for a minute. I read so many pages I can't remember who I wanted to reply to.

Cmom you come and go so quick! If you pop back in this morning to tally the votes on what Tom should do, I vote for him to go on to Boston. No brainer for me. Not his fault, not his problem. He should get to have fun too. And <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_15_3.gif' border=0></a> to your sister for making this an issue. Sorry, is it OK for me to stick my tongue out at your sis?

I know I wanted to tell Lewsi that she better be ready to travel. Grant is going to keep you busy with the baseball stuff. I thought his form looked good. Squashing the bug and all, right? That's what they look for here at that age. Scouts are all over him already.... You gonna be busy....

Yes Ella is tall. She wears clothes that Holly wore when she was two to three years old. What am I gonna do with her? Maybe she'll slow down. All my ultrasounds said she was going to be tall. Everytime I would get an ultrasound it would move the due date up more, just because she was measuring so big. But I knew her due date was on track because I took an EPT three days before "the day" and it was positive but SO-very-faint. She was born almost a month early and weighed 7 lbs. 8oz. Guess she's a freak of nature.

How tall did you say you are Tallball27? Hey, did I ever ask you - what is that "27" for?

Let me guess.

It's the number of boyfriends you were up to when you registered here?

How long you can hold your breath under water?

Your high score in basketball?

The number of a boy you thought was hot?

How old you will be when you get married?

How many love letters you've gotten from Johnny?

How many times you've seen POTC?

Oh - wait! How many years older than you Johnny is!

Wait, you aren't the completely Johnny crazy one.

Nascar?

Lottery number?

Favorite TV channel?

I give up!

Somebody help me!

Good Morning all, I got a good night's sleep last night.

Cheeringmom, the best advice I got from anyone when I torched half of my family to go to a WDW wedding that we had planned to go to almost a year before we found out about a DN graduation was... What difference will it make in 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, 10 years. If the guilt is so severe that she will never talk to you again, is it worth it?

Is the Boston trip something that is a once-in-a-llifetime thing, or a spur-of-the-moment trip with some friends? How important is the Boston Trip?

I can see why you Sister would be upset, she probably extended the trip for quality Aunt Time.

It is not an easy decision, and ifhe decides to go to Boston, talk to your Sister and let her know how important the trip is to him. you can also tell her how much you will miss him, and that you don't mind playind with a nephew.....

"I have tried to present a balanced argument, the views expressed in this argument may have no bearing on reality. my actual view is to do what you want and ignore the guilt."

:bounce:

Hi llebrekniT, Congrats on Daniels win.... How far now til the Championship game?

As far as oddball27's number, I think she posted once that "It just fit with the name and has no real meaning", but being a male, my memory is not what it should be. I am sure she will answer you later.

Have a great day. and we will wait to hear about Daniel's next game...

:bounce:

I agree with llebrekniT, if the kid wants to go, let him go!!! Summer is half way over & he should have fun if he wants. If I could stick my tongue out at your sis, I would too ( if that's ok with you).

but I do mind playing with him!!!! He is a very disrespectful young man. I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut when he talks to his mom.....
anyway, this was a spur of the moment trip. We talked about it a few weeks ago but our friends were not sure whether they would have room for Tom in the car unless they bought a van-which they did and now have plenty of room.

I think she will get over it but not during the trip. That is all I will hear about I'm sure. Maybe next summer I can take the monster for a few weeks. I'll try to make it up but I think I'm with TINKBACKWARDS and will let Tom go.
