Thanks for the breakfast geffric. I just wanted to ditto what your DH said. We liked the CS, but it reminded me of what I have always said before. The moderates really do not offer anything that the value resorts don't have. Except maybe a blow dryer and coffee maker. The outside design and landscaping is definetly prettier, but once you are in your room, it's about the same.

Stepping up to the AKL would be a big difference. I really notice the difference when staying at the deluxe resorts. Otherwise, the mods and values are about the same. If we don't stay in a deluxe, we might as well stay in a value in other words. That's just my take on it though. You know what they say "opinions are like...."

Never mind.

llebrekniT, ...everybody has one and each smells differently.....and some families have more than theirshare...

Ooops, forgot why I stopped back in.

I am balancing my checkbook with my on-line banking service and am entering all the debits that have come through from the trip<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_2_6.gif' border=0></a>. I want to cry all over again<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4_2_2.gif' border=0></a>. All the places we ate<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_4_7.gif' border=0></a>, the wonderful amount of shopping I did<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_8_9.gif' border=0></a>...... It's all over now<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_9_7.gif' border=0></a>...... It's gone......<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_9_10.gif' border=0></a>

One other thing, while we were on the trip we played a fun game at all our meals.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_2_89.gif' border=0></a> Everybody would take a guess at how much the bill was. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_27_13.gif' border=0></a> Well, this weekend we picked up lunch at McDonald's drive-thru and Holly asked what the total was. I said "$13.00" or whatever. She got this really impressed look on her face and said "Wow, not bad, not bad at all. We should eat here more often."

Savvy business sense that little Holly of yours, she would like Golden Corral too...

:bounce:

Good Morning everyone!!!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I hope Barb survived her IL's.

Thanks for breakfast geffric, it will go quite nicely with the Jelly Beans & Reese peanut butter eggs I planned to have this morning.:teeth:

I wonder what danauk is doing right now.

ibouncetoo, I have a zoppini bracelet too. I got mine for christmas 2 years ago. I have a birthstone charm, a scorpio charm & a 4-leaf clover. I need some Disney ones. llebrekniT got one for christmas this past year & she has passed me up on charms. My brother likes to buy presents, & when he knew she wanted a Zoppini bracelet, he went hog wild. He bought so many charms, that he ended up with a free bracelet for Holly!

NC Belle, I don't have much advice either as I've never stayed at either resort. I'm sure you'll have a great time whichever you choose.

Well, I gotta get Josh ready for swimming class. See you later!

'morning to all.

Hope everyone had a good Easter weekend. Thanks for breakfast, geffric and NC Belle. It hit the spot!

Our Easter was hectic, but good. Only problem was that my DD10 woke me up at 7:45 a.m. and said, "when can we get our Easter baskets?" and I realized that my SIL and I were having so much fun on Saturday night, we forgot to fix them!!! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_1_108.gif' alt='Ouch' border=0></a> I think the Easter Bunny finally dropped by about 10:30 a.m.! We only ended up having an extra 12 people over, so we had plenty of food. We always hide those plastic eggs with candy outside and the weather wasn't awful or outstanding, just ok. At least it didn't snow... I'm afraid to ask Bichon Barb if she had any! We hid about 300 eggs for 9 kids ... spoiled rotten! (the kids, not the eggs.) Then, for the first time, they re-hid them (after taking out the candy) for the adults to find. I'm afraid we didn't find half of them, so they'll be turning up all summer, I'm sure.

Hooray for your day turning out okay, Mad4Mickey, and I am waiting with bated (baited???) breath for the next segment in the Saga of Nasty Nancypants, Deadheadbelle and llebrekniT!

RRBB - hope you're feeling much better today, eyeballs and all.

Gotta go walk the dogs, go pay the bills at work, pay the bills at home, and I think I already need a nap.

Check y'all later!

DHB is absolutely right. You will be at WDW regardless of where you sleep. Although lent is over, I am not planning on returning to being overbearing.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/17/17_1_12.gif' border=0></a> My remarks have nothing to do with any upcoming trips in Oct. with family. I will just be happy to go and completely content with whatever resort DHB picks out. My fate is entirely in her hands. Besides, my objective is to stay at every resort eventually and all the resorts she is considering are on the list of places I haven't stayed before.

It's raining here.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4_2_1.gif' border=0></a> Should I venture out the store or make do with what we have? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_3_32.gif' border=0></a>

Ohana, I thought since I was the last person to receive a recap, I should be the next person to do one. I know they are a pain and I appreciate you doing it for me. They are fun to read, and you did a great job. I'm cheating a little on mine.....

With Deadheadbelle's permission, I am sharing this picture of her hunka-hunka-burning-hubby and little Lainie, taken at Holly's b-day party.

And this is little Lainie, who likes to show a little leg, just like her MAMA.::yes::

:wave2: all my bestest DIS buddies!

Today I sign Grant up for all day K. :scared1: I can't believe he is going to school already and I have never been able to be a SAHM. :( Always wanted to try it, especially in the summers when we could go to the beach. I hate the beach/ocean.....but I do it for the kids. ::yes::

Other than that, not much happening.

Huggabaloo we are missing you!

Go Lainie!

:wave2: Lewski.

Don't know if this helps any but I've always felt that it's harder on the moms who do stay at home to send the kiddies off to school. I felt like I was missing an arm after each one. I took it really hard. It's a big step, starting school. You have my sympathy. But, he'll probably love it.::yes::

Ok, I have to complain.

A young lady that works at our company had recently broken up with her boyfriend of many years. She had been ok but was getting down in the dumps towards the end of last week. In an act of good will, I told her that I'd take her out to "one of those" bars so that she didn't have any pressure from guys, etc... She just wanted to have a couple of drinks, relax, go dancing.

Meanwhile, at the same time that afternoon when I extended the invitation, my close friend Chris had called to chat. I noticed he sounded a little glum and it turned out that he didn't have any plans for the Easter Holiday. Since we were already making a big dinner and had invited another friend over, I told him to join us. No reason for anyone to sit home alone on a holiday, right? He agreed and got excited. I also told him about my coworker and our plans for that evening and he wanted to join us.

Anyway, that night, we were having a nice time, but Chris ended up getting a little nasty. It happens sometimes when he drinks a little too much. I pulled him aside and told him to cut the crap which he did but this happened a couple of times. Plus, it was embarrassing to have a good friend act like an idiot in front of a coworker.

Next morning, he called and apologized for his behavior, and reconfirmed for Sunday dinner. All was good. I wasn't angry, not even mildly irritated in fact.

So Sunday rolls around, it was 1:30 in the afternoon. Guests were arriving at 3pm for an early dinner. The phone rings, it's Chris. He is cancelling because... why? He was just asked out on a friggin' date, so he wouldn't be coming to dinner and because it's been awhile, we understand, RIGHT? I was pretty stunned but Joe and I both let it be known we thought it was surprising and downright rude.

I'm still pretty ticked off at the entire situation and his behavior the entire weekend. Joe and I ended up having a nice dinner with our other friend. Am very tempted to pick up the phone and rip him a new one though.

Rick don't take it so hard. I understand where Chris was coming from. Think back when you were single. Some people have a difficult time "hooking up" and when they are asked to do something, fearing postponing the offer down would turn the other off, they say yes. I am sure he was caught in between a rock and a hard place. We luv ya!

Morning TAGLIKINS!

Hope the Easter bunny was good to all, especially those bunny-basket-challenged mothers who forgot....don't worry, I won't mention any names(iluvtink):teeth:

I had gotten Jordan a basket from the Lindt chocolate mall store and gave it to him when he got home last night. He really liked it but had been eating Easter candy all day at his dad's house, had a few nibbles and wanted to save it for later. It had a big chocolate bunny surrounded by those yummy cchocolate truffle eggs....it took all the willpower I had not to snarf them down after he went to sleep... and I'm looking at it right now as I type....willpower.....must not eat my child's candy...

well, I'm babysitting my 14 month old nephew now and he is craving hugs and kisses from his favorite aunt so duty calls

Have a great morning!

That's exactly what Joe had said which calmed me down quite a bit. But I'm still a little ticked. Granted, part of me wants to smack him around, but the rational part of me reminds me that he's never done this before, is very diligent when it comes to plans like this, so the guy who asked him out must be pretty important. At the very least, he better be REAL good lookin'! LOL!

My Disfunctional Day

By: Bichon Barb

Hope everyone had a nice day yesterday. I am envious of ibouncetoo. The thought of spending Easter with good friends at a restaurant and sitting by a pool sounded absolutely splended. ::yes::

At 5:55 a.m., I woke from a dream that I had to go tinkle. I probably woke from this dream, because I actually did have to go. So without my glasses, with eyes half closed, I tip-toed over to the bathroom, took care of business, and then climbed back into bed and attempted to fall back into deep slumber. My two little Easter bunnies had different ideas. They thought 5:55 a.m. is a totally acceptable time to get up and greeted me with doggy morning breath kisses.

Never mind--I was up for the day.

After coffee, the Sunday paper, searches for eggs and baskets, I got ready for church. I put on make up, dried my hair, and put my Sunday finest. This was all to no avail. PMS had taken over, and after all that work, I decided that I looked bloated, I was having a bad hair day, and my chin is disappearing into my neck. :( Told the kids for the hundredth time to put their shoes on, and we ran out the door.

An hour later we arrived home to find foil wrappers all over the kitchen floor. Upon further inspection, we discovered that Beanie had jumped on the kitchen table and devoured one Cadbury Creme Egg, one marshmellow bunny, one caramel bunny, and numerous chocolate eggs. Eric decided to have a full blown hissy fit, because Beanies breakfast had come from HIS basket. Nevermind mom's concern that Beanie weighs about 11 lbs. and could die from such a large consumption of chocoate. I quickly did the math and told Eric that it was about $3.00 work of Easter candy and asked him if he would like the candy replaced or the $3.00. He was glad to accept my offer of cash.

We loaded up the Subaru and headed off. At this point I must add that both dogs were invited to SIL's. She usually brings her 80 lb. beast when visiting us, so she was sure to invite Beanie and Otto. I told DH that if the dogs were coming, they were his responsibility. He heartily agreed. For 1 hour and 45 minutes, I had two dogs on my lap.

We got to SIL's and I explained what Beanie had done that morning. I told her that since it had happened over three hours ago, if she was going to puke, I think should would have done it by now. She then proceeded to SIL's kitchen and vomited a thick clear sugary goo all over the kitchen floor, which DBIL stepped in immediately. DBIL jumped through the house with one socked-foot up in the air cussing away.

We were off to a good start.

I brought Beanie outside and she proceeded to projectile vomit twice. It reminded me of the chocolate river in Neph's favorite movie. ::yes::

After that was over, I explained to DH that I needed some medication, he agreed and poured each of us a glass of merlot. I had just sat down on the patio and taken a sip when we were advised to come in and eat. So much for that.

Dinner discussion consisted of DSIL's right wing views and the usual Clinton bashing. (Yes, the woman has an obsessive hate for the Clinton family.) Now I know that what Bill Clinton did while in the White House was pretty stupid, but in general, I liked they guy. DSIL knows this and needs to bring up her distain for the Clintons whenever I am around.

Then of course the discussion turns to "The Passion" (which DBIL and I agreed we have no interest in seeing.) The other DSIL exclaims that the Pope had declared that the movie was very close to the real thing. I had to bite my tongue pretty hard to keep my mouth shut. I was dieing to ask her if the Pope had personally witnessed the event some 2000 years ago. :teeth:

I'm sorry. My Easter report has gotten a bit long winded. Suffice to say that I did survive the remainder of the day. We were out of there by 4:00 p.m. Both dogs slept soundly on my lap the entire ride home.

Thank you for letting me vent. ;) I feel better. :D

Hey everyone. Thanks for the breakfast geffric. Lots of chocoalte, They way I like it.

So glad everyone had a nice Easter. Our ham tasted funny. We didn't eat it. We paid over $30 for it too. So we had all the sides. Ok but ham would have been tasty!!

Cute pic of Deadheadbelle's family.

ohanafamily mailed the box today priority. Should get there by Friday. Sorry it will be a little late. I gave it to my dh to mail on Fri from work and he forgot. OOPS!!

Anyway, lauren is off at school and I have tons to do. Be good and will check in later.

....I, myself, was hoping you'd smack him around some :teeth:....ok,I was just kidding, well, maybe not:rolleyes:

LOL. Looks like I'm not the only one venting here today. :teeth:

Here is the plan. Next Thanksgiving we all ditch our disfunctional extended families and friends and meet up for dinner at Disney. ::yes::

Rick, that stinks and was quite selfish! Oh, BTW, you said hard place. :p

Lewski, I was an at home mom before the kids went to school. The kids are off this week, so I'm at home mom again. It's not a pretty sight. By 10:00 a.m., Eric had already taken this stupid gun thing that his DAunt had given him yesterday (which shoots darts of some kind) and aimed it at the on/off button on the TV. The button is now pushed all the way in and is stuck. After some high volume yelling on my part, I told him that I was not going to try to fix it and that he would have to explain it to his father when his father gets home for lunch. ::yes::

That reminds me, I have got to get dressed and go grocery shopping. We have no milk, no bread, no lunch meat, nothing!

I'll be back. ::yes:: :wave:

So it looks like Easter fun was had by all. Insensitive siblings, rude "lonely" gay guys, chocolate spewing little dogs, funky ham and busted TV's. Woo hoo!

I have a headache and want to take a nap.
