I've never stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
We haven't stayed at the Wilderness Lodge either, but we did have dinner at restaurant -- yikes! What is it? Artist Point? It was great.
A new QOTD (besides our DD planning):
What airport do you fly out of to get to WDW and how long does it take?
First of all -
Lewski talks funny, and I'm betting
BichonBABE does too.
I am typing on a new (OLD, very old) keyboard today.....
We usually fly out of Louisville because of Southwest. They are normally the cheapest, it is a direct flight and we earn free flights with our business Visa.
BUT - we are thinking of switching our business VISA to a Disney Visa. We may drive next trip. I have gotten to where I just about hate flying. This last trip we went with a connecting flight because we didn't want to stick around all day waiting for the late flight as the kids had to go to school the next day.
We left WDW at 9:00a.m. to get breakfast at McDonald's on the way to the airport. We arrived at the airport at 10:00, our flight was at 11:55 a.m. SW is open seating, first come, first serve. It was a nearly full flight and Ella was not (gasp!) ticketed!
We connected through St.Louis and landed in Louisville at 5:00p.m. Got the bags and drove home (another hour). Got home at 6:30p.m. That was a total of 9-1/2 hours traveling time. If we drove it would be about 12 hours. So we are considering it.
(A few notes about us flying: I get motion sick on everything! Cars, boats, planes, sometimes in the elevator. I didn't take my Dramamine before the first flight, BIG mistake. I didn't throw up, I've dealt with this problem all my life and have gotten very good at controlling the urge. On the other hand - Ella hasn't learned this technique and it became very apparent that she too has motion sickness issues because she threw up on both flights! Holly suffers from extreme pain in her ears due to the cabin pressure. We put the thingies in her ears this time and helped some, but she still had pain for a few hours after.)
Nutball27, ahhhh, middle school days. Now listen closely, try to follow this. Middle school SUCKS! Get through it the best you can, none of it will matter to you in the future. You
will look back on these days and go "middle school sucked". Because it does. There are better days ahead. Hold your head high, stay true to who you are and don't let yourself be brought down to the level of those silly girls who aren't going to do very well in life carrying on as they do. Speech over, unless you want some more?!?
Ohana thanks for the re-cap, sort of. I'm more confused than I was just not knowing. But I bet it was funny to the people who were here. I could see the humor in it. It left me with many questions, many questions that are probably best left unanswered.
To anyone who cares, most of the pictures posted of us eating were at Chef Mickeys. The darker one of just Daniel was at Boma's. It's very dark in there.
QOTD: The last place we stayed was Coronado Springs, but I think you guys know that. In Dec. we stayed at the Grand Floridian. I have found after this last trip that I have become a resort snob in a way.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with CS, for a moderate it is very nice. I just enjoy being at the deluxe resorts so much more. Well, DUH! Who wouldn't? Anyway, we spent a good amount of time at the POLY and really loved it. We also really like the AK Lodge. Maybe next time.....
For the record, the next trip is totally and completely in
DHB's hands. I will NOT lead, I will only follow and nod my head.
