I represent that remark!!! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/5/5_3_1.gif' alt='Take A Bow' border=0></a>

ohanafamily - a Nobel prize for literature for you. You could write Cliff Notes and make a lot of $$$!!! I appreciate the re-cap too, since I was visiting TN for not enough days!

I'm feeling some pressure here about the swap. I think I need to get bigger, better stuff! What if what I send is dorky? Oh, gosh, I better go get some Lortabs!!! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_2_204.gif' alt='Pulling My Hair Out' border=0></a>

I'm going to bed to dream about bigger, better, smarter, cuter, wonderfuler things to send to The Swap King. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_5_28.gif' alt='Alligator' border=0></a> (no I did NOT say "Swamp King!"

good nightzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

iluvtink, I am really building everything up, none of it is too expensive (OK, Danauk sent me a lot of money for postage, but I may have to use it for International) Everythinh appears to be close to the budget...OK, again, Lewski709 sent me a "Thank You" that was (at least down here) a little too pricey to send everyone, but it is greatly apreciated.

Oh, and geffric, RRBB thinks the note and the item will work. I used to do importing, and exporting items produced that way was a big no-no for us, (it has to do with quaranteens and so forth. I will check Fed-Ex, and ask their Export Experts if it is OK.....or I can call an export house that I work with. (I just love driving them crazy...don't you...)

:bounce:

WOW!! I skip my afternoon check-in to go Easter Bunny shopping and you guys chat up a storm....first will answer the QOTD:

Hey, have any of you stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge?
We stayed there in December for our family Christmas trip...all 20 of us!! We were lucky enough to get all 9 rooms upgraded to Deluxe pool view from the standard parking lot view we paid for (at a nice FL resident rate of $109/night)! We LOVED the hotel, LOVED Boma, LOVED the animals (although I still have not been outside on the overlook....spent the WHOLE trip playing tour guide for the other 19 folks with us....oh and nursing my 2 sick kids back to health  ). Will gladly stay there again...hopefully when it's warm (it was 30's and 40's when we were there) and when I can take some more time to look around!! Hear good things about their concierge so thinking about that for a 10th anniversary trip next year....but may do Disneyland's 50th anniversary celebration instead...)

And where would you like to go to dinner?
Portobello Yacht Club?
Bongo's Cuban Cafe?
House of Blues?
Other?
Bongo's or Wolfgang Puck! Or House of Blues...it's good, too!

What airport do you fly out of to get to WDW and how long does it take?
We hardly ever fly since we're too cheap! And since Walt the Terrible can be just that, we figure we'll spare all you happy travelers the few hours of screaming on the plane! You can thank me by sending donations for my gas bill..... it's 776 miles door to door from my house to Shades of Green where we'll be staying in 3 weeks!!

What was the last WDW resort you stayed at?

Last one was AKL in December....LOVED it. We've also stayed at one time or another at POFQ (honeymoon...loved it), POR (when it was DL...also good), CBR (loved it), CSR (hated it), Villas at the Disney Institute (when it was still standing....liked the setup but zero "magic"), and SOG (before renovations...will be staying post renovation in 3 weeks!)....also a few off-property sites (only when someone else is paying and doesn't want to stay on-site).

ohanafamily great job on the recap! Cracked me up! (no, not dating boss...boss buying many cocktails for poor peons) Don't think I even remember what a date is!!!

I AM VERY, VERY :( :( :( NO CHOCOLATES IN MY MAILBOX TONIGHT!

And speaking of mail....the swap box is in my car...that's one step closer to the post office! Once I walk into the station each morning...they never let me out. It will be done tomorrow.

oddball27, I know what you are going through. Having just spent the weekend with folks from my High School, a lot of those memories/feelings came back! And I'm getting all kinds of e-mails from some of the 'girls' that noticed one of the 'boys' and I kind of hit it off on this visit. You know, those "so-and-so really likes you" kind of messages....almost like passing notes in class. Ask Deadheadbelle....I sent her the worlds longest, rambling PM's about it....well, she asked!

For some missed QOTDs: 20 mins to airport (Phoenix) about a 4 hour flight...and I go to either Tampa or Orlando...which ever airline has the best deal.
Last trip stayed at AKL 2 nights, Time Share ummmm. 4 nights and one night at the Swan (then went to Clearwater beach). Can't wait to try POFQ in 10 days!

Welcome CarlenT you caught us in the midst of a lot of personal chatting (we're doing a gift swap) so that might be a little confusing. Just jump in.... we usually have a question of the day (or two, or three) and take virtual trips to WDW. Some of us can chat during the day, some just early or late, some only certain days, so you never sure who you'll see here. We have members in England and in the US, from New Hampshire to California....all ages (pretty much 14 to 54) ALL genders, married, single, with kids and without. All in all a pretty broad minded/broad spectrum group. Pop in any time.

OK, gotta run, getting a IM from 'someone";)

Finally done reading...ohanafamily you are such a teaser!! Now I'm just itching to know what's inside those boxes!!

Glad to know the swap is coming along. I got all mine packaged up tonight and *hope* to make it to the post office between mom's group and picking up Abbie at pre-school. I usually have 15 minutes, but it depends on the line....at lunch time it can be an hour long.....or non-existant. Will try.... or maybe do it tomorrow afternoon...but it would be late. Will let you know when it's posted.

OH ohanafamily or .RRBB...whoever gets the mail....there's an envelope taped to the side of the box that says "Packing List Enclosed Here". It's got a note, my return label, and postage check in it, so make sure you take it off the side of the box!! It's WELL secured with lots of tape....just be sure to cut AROUND the envelope and not through it!!

Nite all! The Easter Bunny/Birthday Fairy is very tired and heading to bed :)

Hey all! Sorry I haven't been around...Been hanging out with the hubby and lots of friends. Brian leaves on Friday to go back to Korea and we have been out alot lately.

Hope everyone is doing well, I haven't been able to keep up with all the posts, but I did notice that Tigger Fans! finally came home! Welcome back! We missed you! Since you missed it, visit my wedding recaps and photos!

Hugs to everyone, as I prolly won't be around until after Brian is gone, at which point, I will be getting all my swap stuff together and sending it out.

*HUGS&SNUGS*

Kismetdreams----I kinda understand a little bit what you are going through--NC Beast had to go away on business for the majority of 2 months after we got back from our honeymoon. I can't imagine him or me being away from each for more than that length of time. I missed him a lot last weekend when I went away Thurs-early am Mon. I hope your hubby's time in Korea will be short. You two look cute together--loved the trip/wedding reports. Are you getting used to be called a Mrs.---I still smile when I'm called Mrs. NC Beast.

<font face=bedini size=5>Congratulations Kismetdreams!</font>
I just finished reading your wedding recap! Sounds like it was wonderful....and you looked amazing! Hope your life together is filled with magic!

ohanafamily - loved the recap! Now could you recap pages 1-123??? ;)

Goodmorning all,I've just dropped in quickly to drop of some cooked English breakfast for everyone - bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms, totato, fried bread (but I held off the black pudding!) Oh and some freshly squeezed orange juice too.
Well got to run, I have an appointment at the beauty salon, I'm getting my nails done for the holiday. I'll post again when I get back and catch up on the posts from last night.

:wave2:

I'm back from the salon (Nails extended and it is now quite hard to type!) and I've caught up on all the pages.
Nice recap ohanafamily. The package got there quicker than what I thought, perhaps as it didn't have food in it. I'm trying to guess what geffric has put in the note that might get something in the swap package stopped at customs :scratchin . I can't guess though!! I'll find out soon. If you decide the note can't be put in just PM me with the message later. I was thinking perhaps it would be easier to send the package to my school. They don't mind us having personal items delivered to us there, I'll PM you with my work address.

So what are people doing today? DH is finishing off the bunny run, he needs to make the top and sow the grass seeds. Then he has promised me he will sort his clothes out after dinner so we can go clothes shopping if we need to. I get to clean the house  I have to make sure the house is really clean before we go away. Then I think I will get the cases down and sort things to go in the hand luggage.

I guess I better get on with it then.

:wave2:

<marquee><font color=steelblue>HAVE A GOOD DAY EVERYONE!</font></marquee>

Good morning Depplyinluv. We go to Paris on Saturday so another few days yet.
To answer your QOTD: I was 27 when I first went to WDW last year. I went to DLP for a day when I was 22 when DH and I were on our honeymoon.
My DH used to work in a church school and had to do prayers service. He is a music teacher so had to take choir practice. No confession though as it was a Church of England school.

Talking to a Tagliarchan in "real life" was very cool. But I think I do talk funny. Especially now with this cold that I have. Lewski has a sweet voice.

I've never stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. :( We haven't stayed at the Wilderness Lodge either, but we did have dinner at restaurant -- yikes! What is it? Artist Point? It was great.

A new QOTD (besides our DD planning):

What airport do you fly out of to get to WDW and how long does it take?

First of all - Lewski talks funny, and I'm betting BichonBABE does too.;)

I am typing on a new (OLD, very old) keyboard today.....

We usually fly out of Louisville because of Southwest. They are normally the cheapest, it is a direct flight and we earn free flights with our business Visa.

BUT - we are thinking of switching our business VISA to a Disney Visa. We may drive next trip. I have gotten to where I just about hate flying. This last trip we went with a connecting flight because we didn't want to stick around all day waiting for the late flight as the kids had to go to school the next day.

We left WDW at 9:00a.m. to get breakfast at McDonald's on the way to the airport. We arrived at the airport at 10:00, our flight was at 11:55 a.m. SW is open seating, first come, first serve. It was a nearly full flight and Ella was not (gasp!) ticketed!

We connected through St.Louis and landed in Louisville at 5:00p.m. Got the bags and drove home (another hour). Got home at 6:30p.m. That was a total of 9-1/2 hours traveling time. If we drove it would be about 12 hours. So we are considering it.

(A few notes about us flying: I get motion sick on everything! Cars, boats, planes, sometimes in the elevator. I didn't take my Dramamine before the first flight, BIG mistake. I didn't throw up, I've dealt with this problem all my life and have gotten very good at controlling the urge. On the other hand - Ella hasn't learned this technique and it became very apparent that she too has motion sickness issues because she threw up on both flights! Holly suffers from extreme pain in her ears due to the cabin pressure. We put the thingies in her ears this time and helped some, but she still had pain for a few hours after.)

Nutball27, ahhhh, middle school days. Now listen closely, try to follow this. Middle school SUCKS! Get through it the best you can, none of it will matter to you in the future. You will look back on these days and go "middle school sucked". Because it does. There are better days ahead. Hold your head high, stay true to who you are and don't let yourself be brought down to the level of those silly girls who aren't going to do very well in life carrying on as they do. Speech over, unless you want some more?!?

Ohana thanks for the re-cap, sort of. I'm more confused than I was just not knowing. But I bet it was funny to the people who were here. I could see the humor in it. It left me with many questions, many questions that are probably best left unanswered.

To anyone who cares, most of the pictures posted of us eating were at Chef Mickeys. The darker one of just Daniel was at Boma's. It's very dark in there.

QOTD: The last place we stayed was Coronado Springs, but I think you guys know that. In Dec. we stayed at the Grand Floridian. I have found after this last trip that I have become a resort snob in a way.:snooty: There was absolutely nothing wrong with CS, for a moderate it is very nice. I just enjoy being at the deluxe resorts so much more. Well, DUH! Who wouldn't? Anyway, we spent a good amount of time at the POLY and really loved it. We also really like the AK Lodge. Maybe next time.....

For the record, the next trip is totally and completely in DHB's hands. I will NOT lead, I will only follow and nod my head. :teeth:

Help me I've only had two cups of coffee!!!!!!!

QOTD: We fly out of Boston straight to Orlando as it is less than a 3 hour flight!

QOTD: First time at Disney I think I was in my teens, went with sister, sister, brother and dad.

Thank you for the English breakfast Danauk, so delicious and brings back so many memories.

Good Morning everyone!!

Thanks for the breakfast Danauk. I wish I'd checked my 'puter this morning before I made blueberry muffins. Your breakfast sounds way better. Anyway, I am leaving some blueberry muffins for anyone who wants them.

QOTD: The first time I went to WDW was the first year that Epcot was open. 1981 maybe? I was 9 or 10 years old & I went with my neighbors. My parents rarely took vacations, so they asked if I wanted to go. They have a daughter who is a few years younger than me (we are still friends, she lives in California & works for a casting company that is currently casting KING KONG!!!). However, my mom & brothers went to WDW when I was around 6 years old. THEY DIDN'T TAKE ME!!!! Can you believe it?!? I had to stay home with my dad & grandma. I still give my momma a hard time about that one!

Yes, I am in control of the October trip. llebrekniT is not being overbearing at all. However, llebrekniT's husband called me twice from WDW to tell me how we have to stay at the POLY. Then, Daniel (my nepew) wants to know what my problem is & why I don't just stay at the POLY.

Well got to run,

Danauk thanks for breakfast..what is fried bread? Is that like french toast? and what is black pudding? Is it Chocolate pudding??

I will PM you the contents of the note.. not sure why it is an issue but ohanafamily knows much more than I do about shipping internationally...

llebrekniT since we drive all the time, I understand about the flying takes as long as driving issues... BTW, I think that it is funny that we think that we are 1/3 of the way to WDW when we get to your area..:teeth: We have the DVD player for the van.. works really well to keep the kids entertained for the entire trip.. that and game boys..

When the kids were littler, we would stop every 2 hours and make them run around or play ay a McD's play area.. PM me if you want any driving tips..Plus if you go to the McD website, you can get a trip map with all the mcd's marked. so you know which exit to get off for the playlands...

TTFN will check back later...

OMG, please don't ask this question! It is way too early for the nasty explanation. It is nothing like chocolate pudding & just so you know, one of the ingredients is BLOOD.

Really???? Like cut your fingers and put the blood in or ??? YUCK!!! Please say that you are kidding and it is dark chocolate pudding.. the perfect breakfast dessert... along with chocolate ice cream..
