Wow!!! How exciting. Looks like we are HERE TO STAY!!!!

QOTD: Not too often since I work on Sunday. Starting next week, I am going to get off work early on Saturdays so we can attend Saturday night services.

Oh well, so much for the excitement.:( It's just that I love the location of this place. I don't ever want to leave.:Pinkbounc

Deadheadbelle I was getting excited too, but I see the point. I didn't realise the threads went slower if there were more pages. Oh well, I love this place too and we are nearly on page 100!!

When does he have to leave, & how long will he be gone???
Well, right now, we have the luxury of him being at a training command, so he doesn't really deploy.....they train and certify the boats that are deploying. He does get underway on the boat, but it's only for anywhere from 3 days to 4 weeks at a time. They just went back on the boat which they'd been off for a year so the only "away" thing he'd done lately was 1 month overseas last summer. Since they've got their boat back, they'll be coming and going from now on....he was out last week, home for a month, then out for 2 weeks or so, then home a week then back out a week..... An impossible schedule to keep up with, especially since it changes so much and he also has overseas and cross-country trips thrown in to visit other commands, but it could be LOTS worse (ask anyone else with a servicemember in the family these days!) so we can't complain, really. Hardest part so far was that they changed some dates around and we had to move up our trip and lost our Illuminations cruise and Cinderella breakfast and dinner PS's  Like I said, nothing to complain about....we've been EXTREMELY lucky. Just wish the kids understood how lucky we are, so the separation wouldn't be so bad for them. Thanks for thinking about us, though :)

Now that I'm caught up reading....

Glad everyone's having a nice weekend. Most of you sound very busy...make sure you get a little rest before diving back into the week :)

We had a lazy morning and went to the bookstore to pick up "Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse" and "Julius, The Baby of the World" by Kevin Henkes for DD. The local theatre company is doing those for the kids next weekend and we love to take her to those things, but it's better if she's familiar with the story. Still trying to decide whether to take brother.....he did well with a puppet show, but hasn't done a "live" show before. DD went to a kid's program put on by our local symphony and loved it, but I don't think DS would have tolerated it very well. Oh well, if tickets are cheap, we can always try and then one of us leave with him if it's too slow-moving to keep his attention...

Kids are down for naps and DH has the b-ball game on and is sewing. Yes, he cross-stitches! I swear, it's the only thing that's kept him from a heart attack before now...the soothing repition is good for his Type A personality!! Anyway, he's cross-stitched stockings for our whole family...4 for us, 2 for his parents, 2 for aunt & uncle...8 over the past 5 years, with a couple other projects thrown in. He's trying to get 4 made this year for his brother and his wife and their 2 kids.....so he sews any time he's sitting still.....

QOTD: I sing along to any song I know the words to, which is unfortunate for anyone around me, since I can't carry a tune in a suitcase! I have no idea how they tolerated me in choir for so many years as a kid....

Church? No, we don't attend services. DH while christian, doesn't like organized religion...too political, too focused on money, too focused on being right and telling everyone else they're going to H***, often too hypocritical, etc....can't get past the problems. I'm Catholic, but don't attend regular services. Probably will when the kids are older, but haven't since I was in high school. Both kids were baptized and Abbie and I went to services when she was a baby (DH worked weekends) but when she could no longer sit still we had to stop since they didn't have nursery or cryroom.... We've moved since then, but just haven't started going again.

Don't think I've missed any other questions, so I'm outta here for now! Hope you all have a nice rest-of-the-weekend and I'll check in later :)

HI everybody!! I'm baaaaaaccckkkkk!

had a great time. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. But its not too shabby here in VA either. Got lots to catch up on but doubt that I'll have time to read everything. Any news??? Anyone heard from Tigger Fans???? TTFN

WELCOME BACK, Cheeringmom

We have missed you!!! Can't wait to hear all the details. Lot's of nothing going on around here....biggest news, though.....

Kismetdreams got hitched!!! She has a link here somewhere to her wedding report & links to pics. Check it out!!!

Hey disneyluvers,

Hi Cheeringmom, I am at work...can't wait for your report though....Welcome Home.....

:bounce:

Hey Cheeringmom welcome back. What did you get up to on your trip? I can't wait to hear.

kadaten it's great to hear that you take your kids to see live theatre. I am involved in a local theatre company and help run a theatre and arts complex. We spend quite a bit of time trying to get young people involved.

Well it's late here in England so it is bed time. I will catch up after work tomorrow. Have a good evening everyone.:wave2:

Hey all! I added the link to my trip report down at the bottom of my siggie, in case anyone wanted to see! I love showing off the pics! :)

 Page 2!

I have nothing to say today, guys. My weekend has been wonderfully boring and relaxing. :D

Kismetdreams, your wedding looked gorgeous! I hope you're not too bummed to be back from the honeymoon...;)

DanaukWell, we started out with the typical kids' fare that they have....traveling Sesame Street shows, Disney on Ice, etc. She LOVED Sesame Street and Monsters on Ice (didn't do well at Princesses on Ice....too many stories changing back and forth, and maybe too young...it was our first outing) but I want her to experience true arts, too. I was never exposed to a lot of it, and want her to see lots of different things. Who knows....maybe she'll discover a passion of her own for art, music, theatre...whatever!

Our symphony does a children's series called "The Peanut Butter & Jam Concert Series" that is specifically for kids. Performances are always weekend matinees and are typically held to one hour in length....so perfect! The first one we went to way Cirque Symphonique which was the symphony performing circus music and there were live acrobats (former Cirque du Soleil members). It was fabulous! She now calls the 1812 Overture "acrobat music" since they used it for one number :)

We also saw a puppet theatre of 3 Eric Carle stories....absolutely fabulous!! He's her favorite author and the puppet were simply marvelous :)

Next up is the symphony doing Peter and the Wolf. I'm hoping to take her to see the ballet of Cinderella, but it's not a children's performance, so I have to check on the length first....

:wave2: Hi everyone. I can't believe the weekend is about over. It was a lazy sort of day for me again, although I did get a few loads of laundry done, the dishwasher run, and some of our clothes from upstairs brought back down. I thought ohanafamily and I would go to see the new Scooby-Doo movie today but he's been at his office all day working. I did talk to my younger sister for a while though. She made me miss my niece and nephew even more, telling me about their current antics.

I hope ohanafamily gets home soon. I think he's picking up a late dinner for us and I'm starting to get hungry.

Welcome home Cheeringmom! Can't wait to hear all about your trip (but first, I have to finish reading all about Kismetdreams wedding, and see all the pictures!

I was hoping we'd make it past page 100 before somebody said the 'm' word. Well, I'm not doing it! I'm staying right here ::yes::
llebrekniT got us the best place ever! So, my suggestion is, why don't we just 'write' a new 'chapter' in the story of TAGLIARCHY Island? Each chapter can be 150 pages long. Different TAGLIKINS can have the honor of starting a new chapter. I think RRBB and geffric will agree with me that packing up and moving all the crafting supplies is NO FUN!

So what do you all think of this idea?

KEEP TAGLIARCHY ISLAND AS OUR HOME1

Still haven't heard from ohanafamily, so I'll hang out here so I can ignore my grumbling stomach.

Welcome home Cheeringmom. I, too, am anxious to hear all about your trip.

Yup, you're oh so right about moving crafting stuff ibouncetoo. It is an absolute pain in the... but then I think moving in general is a pain.

Speaking of crafting or rather scrapping, I have to pack up my pages tomorrow to send to the magazine editor for publication. I would have done it sooner, but some of my "embellishment" kept peeling off and I'm having a heck of a time keeping it in one piece. I hope it makes it through the mail.

Well, I have had a wonderful evening!!!:teeth:

First I went to my Aunt Judy's to get my sister. On the way, I got to see the guy I may kinda like. He was at baseball practice. Then when we got to my aunt's, I saw Lacy, Megan, and Kalyn!! They were riding go~carts, and I couldn't go, so I went inside. We tanned and watched the rest of the race. Then when we got home, I rode my four~wheeler and played soccer and basketball with Shelby and Savannah. Then when I came inside and what was on tv........................a Drake and Josh Marathon!!!!!!!!!!!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: So I watched two hours of Drake :teeth:!!! {and Josh, LoL!!} He is soooooooooooooooooo hot, LoL!!!!:teeth: Well, I'm about to go to bed, but there's a NEW episode of Drake and Josh comin on at 9:30, so I've gotta watch it, LoL!!!! Well, Good Night!!!!!!!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Laura, I'm not so much bummed to be home, as to have it be over! It was such a great day and we had so much fun! I honestly can't remember the last time I had such a wonderful day! Brian's family is all saying e need to do it again next week! :)

I have 3 days off next week and Brian wants to go to Vegas and I wabnt to go to DL. I'm not sure yet who's going to win this one!

Good morning. Chocolate crepes with fresh strawberries and oj for all.

Only a few minutes to write. I'm back to schedule already. Have a field trip with dd's class today and I'm driving.

Kismetdreams your wedding pics were just beautiful. I showed them to my 16 yr old and now she wants a dis wedding. I told her she would have to marry a very rich prince!!! hheeeee

California was great. Went to Disneyland one day and did one day over a CA Adventure. A lot of construction gong on. Lots of rides were closed. And the parks were packed. My sisters have passes and couldn't believe the crowds.
I grew up in So. Ca and can't remember the castle being so small compared to WDW. Funny how huge it is when you are little. The best part was that I was chosen to be a guest performer in the parade of Stars. I got to dance a long mainstreet with my very own character. I had Robin Hood. I do si do'd with Meeko. Was a blast. My 15 minutes of fame!!

RRBB you would be proud. I did my first 3 scrapbooking pages with my sisters. They are avid scrappers like you. They said my pages were great. I'm not very crafty but I think they came out pretty cute myself. It was fun but I can see where it would get addicting. Too much on my plate right now with Lauren's so called diagnoisis to think of even starting anything new.

ibouncetoo, I think that is a good idea unless someone really wants to start a new thread. What does everyone else think???

Gotta run. Will pop by later
