Well, I for one, am glad you guys had a slow day because it's easier for me to catch up that way.:teeth:

Still haven't heard from the doctor's office, but I'm a believer in no news is good news. Anyway, she's already on an antibiotic, so whatever it is should be leaving soon. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_6_16.gif' border=0></a>

NUTBALL! You're back! I'm so glad to see you again!LOL What's going on today?! Where's Heather? Why don't you bug her for a while! LOL!

I must say that I have some really great in-laws. DH's parents are pretty easy to work with. Mine are way more difficult and spreadsheets don't matter to them in the least. Unless that spreadsheet showed that like 80% of our time is spent with them, which it is definetly not.

I'll be back in a minute for a little ranting session. Bet you guys can't wait!

Just got off the phone with the doc. Her bloodwork looked fine, it showed that she was fighting an infection, but nothing more than that. The radiologist confirmed that she was in the beginning stages of pneumonia and the antibiotics should take care of that. Now I get to worry about that while we are 1000 miles from home.

Her med. has to be refrigerated. Does anyone know if the Disney hotels will give you a fridge for medical reasons without a charge? I don't want to pay $15 a night for one of those tiny fridges. We always get a cooler and keep it filled with ice. (<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_2_112.gif' border=0></a> don't tell anyone on the RB). I could bring a doc. note if need be. Guess I'll make a phone call down there and find out.

Since I had Tye there as a baby, we used a trash can as a cooler. Publix was all out of styrofoams. We had to keep milk in it at all times and yogurt. It worked fine, never an issue. You could do that, request the fridge OR if they deny the request, ask that they keep the meds in their fridge behind the counter. I believe getting the fridge (not paying tho) or the cooler is best, less hassle.

Ok, now for my rant. I'll try to keep it brief.

This is in reference to the controlling ***** issue. As I said before, my in-laws are great, about as good as it gets. They are probably mad at me right now for something I did, or rather, something I didn't do.

Holly is having a small party Sat. night for her b-day. We are allowed up to 15 people, one more than that the price goes up $60. I didn't invite DH's brother and his family (aka Nancy-pants and the brats). Here are my reasons why:

1. The $60.

2. The party is on a Sat. night. Don and Nancypants always have plans on a Sat. night.

3. Because of the Sat. night thing, the in-laws, aka Holly's grandparents, would have been asked to take the brats overnight so that they could come to the party. There is no way in hell that Don and Nancypants would come to Holly's party instead of going out with their friends. So Holly's grandparents would then be babysitting and have no time to enjoy the party or spend any time with her.

4. Because the parents would definetly not be coming, the brats would be really out of control. They're out of control when the parents are there too, but it's worse in a party atmosphere. They always jump in on whoever is the birthday child and start opening the gifts! It never fails to shock me. And the parents don't stop them! I'm sorry, but I don't want Holly to have to go through that.

So I'm pretty sure that they are mad at me. DHB said her mom asked if Don and Nancy(pants) were invited and she told her about the limit on how many people could come. DMIL said something about "I didn't think she invited them".

"She". When this party was planned I went to DH with the situation and asked what he wanted to do. He said not to invite them. He knew that they would end up dumping the kids off and it wasn't worth $60 to invite all that trouble. Two nights ago DH told his dad that we didn't invite Don and Nancypants. Now I hear "she" didn't invite them.

Aaaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_2_204.gif' border=0></a>

Oh, one more thing, I invited my parents but not any other family members. This was supposed to be a little party for Holly and her friends. DHB and her family are, of course, invited. Holly would rather have them than her friends.

We usually get a styrofoam cooler. I just got a new soft-sided cooler to use this summer at the ballfield and I'm thinking about taking it. Have any of you ever used one of them in the room?

I don't think I'd feel comfortable leaving her meds in the hands of strangers. And it would be very inconvenient, depending on where are room is.

Oh, the QOTD: re: baby names - Ella would have been Will and Daniel would have been Danielle. I don't believe I ever even thought about a boy name when I was pregnant with Holly. I wanted a girl really bad and we found out at 20 weeks that we got one.

Another birthday issue, do I invite my best friends foul mouth kids? Mmmmm, I am having a smaller party....6 kids. They were gonna be two of them. I don't know what to do...the mom would be there, making it worse ::yes::. I feel your pain!

LoL, yep, I'm back!!!!! Today I'm babysitting my brother, as is Heather, except she has 2 of em to keep up with, LoL!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: Glad to hear than nothing serious is wrong with Ella!!!! I'm eating spaghetti and listening to POTC as I type this, LoL!!! :teeth: :teeth: But I'm still bored!!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Hmmm, we can't have this. It's your spring break!

How's the brother been? Is he minding you?

Who do you think is cuter JD or that Orli guy? Oh and that other guy, what's his name? Orlando! Orlando Bloom! Who do you think is cutest?

My mom asked if she invited them. She didn't say "I don't think she did. In defense of my momma, my brother usually knows nothing about what is going on which is why she asked if she did, not they. My mom just wants everyone to be best buddies. She is crazy about my oldest brother, & the thought of him being left out of anything pains her. Not that he cares, all he would do is drop the hellions off anyway.

You know I love your momma. She's the best MIL I could ask for. BUT, she did say "SHE" not "THEY" and I did go to your Bubby on this one.::yes::

 . I don't know what a bubby is.

Hi,

back from school... I just love our elem. school's art teacher. I am so jealous of the stuff they get to do!

Okay, I'm commenting way back from page 63! That's how far behind I am.

ohana and Deadheadbelle - QOTDY - I WISH we'd only had our dogs on the hardwood. As I am writing this, MasterClean is steaming out all of Tucker's Tinkles out of our carpet. Our dogs have the run of the downstairs, except Ed's study and our bedroom. We have gates in front of both of those, and on the stairs. If they went upstairs, they'd have a heyday in both DD's rooms and choke on something unmentionable, I'm sure!

ohanafamily QOTDY - nanny, etc. My mom also. She is the greatest, and she did it all herself. She's in Nashville and I miss her horribly.

Lewski709 - When I married Ed, he had a cleaning person, and it was part of the deal that if she stayed, I would stay! We've been through several over the years, and only one was a bit "rough around the edges." The rest have been wonderful. Try to find someone that a friend uses that then has several other friends that use the same person. You deserve a break today!

Danauk QOTDY - my favorite international food is Swiss Raclette grilled by the fire and scraped onto boiled potatoes, and of course an icy cold bottle of white wine with it. 2nd choice... Roast beef and yorkshire pudding! Oh, and tonight I get to "clean house" so the cleaning ladycan come clean tomorrow! ;)

kadaten - your QOTDY - my worst job is right now! Hope my bosses don't read this ... I wouldn't want to hurt their feelings! I am doing part-time bookkeeping for this little ad agency... it's not what I started out to do, but the bookkeeper quit and they asked me to take over. Now that's all I do and I despise it, but they are struggling to make ends meet and I just work as few hours as possible to keep their payroll down. I'm not sure how easy it would be for them to find someone else as flexible, and I'm chicken to tell them I hate this job! :(

oddball27 - Howdy1 I've just joined the TAGLIKINS right before they left the mansion, so I haven't met you til now. We used to go to Gatlinburg a lot when we lived in Nashville... did you see lots of bears? :earseek:

RickinNYC - I've been at this bad job for over a year... does that mean I can quit without feeling bad? The people are so nice, it's the job that stinkaroos. Also, I didn't think that snorting coke at work was permitted, even in NYC!

ibouncetoo - ohhh, have fun in Sedona. DH and I almost were going to fly there Sunday to celebrate his 50th, but decided to have a party here instead. Where do you stay when you go? I had a terrible time trying to decide where to make ressies.

Lewski709- I've never been the Easter Bunny, but I was Molly Moo, the cow featured in the Kroger races at Tennessee Titans games. I called it being Helen Keller Moo because I couldn't see, hear, or say anything in that huge cow head!

Deadheadbelle's QOTD: Chris: if he had been a girl, he wouldn't have had a name! Kelley - was almost a Sam(antha) or an Alex(andria) and Katie might have been a Turner, or a John, after both grandfathers.

cadburysmom
- Congratulations on the new sweet niece... how about posting a picture?

Bichon Barb - What is a Nancypants? And why does your SIL need you to watch her kids? Yllk. You must be a saint. your QOTD - we don't have much trouble splitting family time because my in-laws are in Cal. and aren't so very involved in our lives... they are satisfied for us to fly out each summer. My family is all in Nashville, and now that we don't live there anymore, that is where we go for holidays. period. ::yes::

llebrekniT - thanks for the sweet PM, and I'll answer it when I have time to breathe. I'm so glad little Ella is not bad sick. It's the worst having to hold your children down while docs do their work. It always makes me cry ... for my furchildren too. And about that family of yours... 'THAT PLANET WORD' on them!!! You do what you need to do and don't let them make you feel bad! You are not a "she" and people (even family" who don't have anything better to do than label people that way can just go suck a parsnip. So there! (I know that's a pat answer, and I'm sorry, but it makes me mad for you, because even though I only know you a little, I think you are a kind and caring person and they don't know how lucky they are to have you as part of their family.) I'm sending you a bucketful of PD, and maybe you could go snort that while Rick is snorting that D. Coke!! Make you both feel better??? :)

Whew, longest post of my life, maybe??? Well, I just love y'all and I appreciate you letting me live here with you! It's been pretty lonely in Ohio!!! I hope someday I can make it to a TAG meet and play with you in person.

So, what's up? Are you still in trouble for sticking your foot in your mouth? Who did you piss off?

p.s. Deadheadbelle - that part I said about family doesn't mean YOU! Maybe I put my foot in it, and if I did, I'm sorry.

Hi iluvtink! Don't get me wrong, I really do love my in-laws and that's why I don't want them to be mad at me. I just wish they wouldn't assume it was up to me to not invite the others. DH was in full agreement.

If the money were not an issue and I knew that the whole family would come I would definetly have invited them. But it's a $60 gamble and I am 99.9% sure they would just dump their kids off and go on their way!

Yep, still here!!

Nice to er...um...meet you
iluvtink!!! LoL!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: Nope, not one single bear!!:D

ORLANDO BLOOM IS WAAAAAYYYYYYYY HOTTER THAN JOHNNY DEPP!!!!!!!!!!! I know that Emily {
FPgurl04} and Amanda {Depplyinluv} are gonna kill me for saying that, but Franchesca {bloomie43} has got my back, LoL!!!!!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

I was wondering that too. Are you in the doghouse with me?<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/29/29_4_30.gif' border=0></a>

OK, what do you base his smoldering hotness on? Is it the eyes? The hair? The smile?

And who would win in a fist fight?
