Goodmorning all,
I'll have to catch up on all the posts later but for now can I have a small rant please?
I have just been to the post office to post the chocolate parcles for a few of you only to be told I can not post them as they have food in (it's a few bars of chocolate for heavens sake!) They said I needed to go on to the royal mails website to gain permission to post food items. So I did that, registered with the US food department and tried to fill in the required forms to put into the packages to send. Only I was doing quite well (it had taken 30 minutes so far) when I had to enter some codes from the post office website, I tried to find them but then I was told my page had expired!!

The long and short of it is, I will get the packages posted it just might take a while!! Now I have to go back to the US food department website to try to gain permission again!!

How come though if I bought chocolate at the airport and carried it in my hand luggage that would be OK!!! I don't get it

I have to go now, I need to go to the travel agents to pick up my Euros and a few $$ to send for the exchange.

Well I'm back from the travel store with my Euros and $$. I tried to post last night with my answers to yesterdays QOTD's but I kept getting a server connection failure message so I will answer them now.
1) I drive a renault clio I don't think you have them over there. It is a small 5 door car, suits me just fine. My DH drives a rover 400 which is bigger.
2) DH was born in Oxford England, I was born in Leeds (Englands 3rd largest city) one year and 4 days later.

I have a new question of the day for you guys:

What picture do you have on your desk top for your computer?

On my laptop (which I use the most) I have a picture I took from our balcony of the BCV early one morning when no one else was around. It is of the BCV, quiet pool and canal. On my computer at school I have a picture my friend took in Epcot from Japan looking through the gate (thats all I can think to describe it!) towards the ball as the sun sets. On my PC in my study I have the Hat and ears from MGM and on my log in on my DH's machine (which I don't use often) I have a picture of my 3 bunnies.

I get to clean my garage today, aren't I lucky? Can't put it off any longer as it's starting to get hot here already. So as soon as the sun is up (about another half hour) I'll be out-a-here.

I haven't hit the store yet, won't till tomorrow, so if you think of something else "American" you'd like to have/try let me know and I'll be glad to send it. Donalds#1Fan always stocks up on A1-Sauce when she's here! Are you going to pop into DIS chat tomorrow? I missed last week, so I want to be there tomorrow.

Laura, okay, why am I not surprised that you drive a VW Bug. (That's a compliment, BTW.) DS and I saw one the other day that was light yellow and had daisies painted on all four rims. It was so cute, I got verklempft. Before DH bought the Outback last year, he had a Passat. He confesses that he misses it. He says it was much sexier than the Outback. Whatever.

Danauk, what a pain in the neck over the chocolate thing. Our neighbors are going to London next month. (God bless them, 'cause they are taking their three kids who are 6, 4 and 1! ) Anyway, they are staying at Glenthurston apartments. I looked at the website (glenthurston.com), and they are beautiful. DH really wants to get over there and see London as well as Ireland. (His mother is an O'Mara .) Ah, some day. Maybe after I get to go to Austria.

And a good mornin' to y'all! I'm just dropping off breakfast now, because I haven't had time to read last night's posts so I have no kind or smarta** comments to make ... yet!!!

Here 'tis... enjoy! As always, there are no carbs, no calories, and no fat in the food I serve! Have some white chocolate apricot scones, some cherry tartlets with almond paste, served with fresh berries,and artfully drizzled with Ghiradelli chocolate sauce; and for those who have given up chocolate for Lent: herbed crimini and portabello mushroom omelette with smoked cheddar cheese. Oh, and please don't miss the chilled champagne served with apple and guava juice and topped with strawberries! Enjoy... I don't usually cook like this, but I wanted to make a good impression!

Yeah, but just wait until today is over. I really blew it with some of my choices and that's going to haunt me all the way to the end. I'm betting that I'll end up in last place soon and stay there to the end.

I don't think I'll be in 1st for long. Barb & Lewski are doing really well! I had Providence & Louisville making it to the Elite 8 & they both lost yesterday. Bunch of idiots...not you guys, the basketball players. Each round is weighted, so the games today & tomorrow count 2 points each.

I had Providence winning too. Actually, I have all the Big East teams going far. I played with my heart. I think UConn may actually win the tournament. So here are my top three choices of whom I'd LIKE to win:

Pittsburgh
UConn

Okay, I'm going over to the exchange list and printing it out. I have to go to the BIG grocery store, so I thought I'd keep my eyes open in case a run into a local product that is both small and light. If I do find something, I'll buy 17. If someone else signs up before Monday, I'll just run back out. If Courtasan Satine decides not to join in, then I'll just send the extra -- just in case.
