Thanks for the advice!! I haven't done much research on which one is best or whatever. I was probably planning on applying to both and whichever one gave me a scholarship or a better one I would go to. (I'm also going to apply to Harvard or Yale just to be able to say, "Yeah, I got accepted, but I turned them down." hehe! That assuming that my SAT and ACT scores are as good as I'm hoping and I get in! )

I changed my major many times during my college years. I always love researching for projects.

[COLOR=990066]DHSsenior007[/COLOR], I think [COLOR=009966]NC Belle[/COLOR] is right, the Psych dept is better at Vanderbilt. If you get accepted to Yale I would consider it, it is a great marquise on a resume.

DHSsenior007 --- use the study guides and any practice sessions available for those exams. They will help in preparing and getting your response/answering time higher due to time restraints on the tests. It might also help in reducing test anxiety.

That would be the good thing about going to a large university, such as A&M. If I changed my mind about what I wanted to do, I could easily change my major and not have to transfer to another college.

Wow, thanks for all the good advice everyone!! I'll definitely take all that prep-classes. We had a girl at our school that was a National Merit Scholar Finalist on the PSAT, and she said that she attended all of those.

I took the PSAT last year as a freshman, and I didn't study for anything, and I did better than 70% of the high school juniors!!

I don't really want to go to any of the Ivy League schools because they are a bit too far from home for me. Mind you, I don't want to be going to a college that's in the same county (like my brother), but I don't want to be more than a day drive away from home.

The reason I'm serioulsy considering A&M is because we have this fund set up, Texas Tomorrow Fund or something like that, so by the time I'm in college, my first two years will be payed for at any public state school.

Cool, yes, I know about it. I think either NTSU or TWU has a good psych dept, and I think they are both in the fund (not 100% sure)
in Denton.

I have so much stuff to look up! All these different colleges and everything! The good thing is I still have a good amount of time to do this search.

University of Texas is better for Psychology---better known for its projects. I was going to apply to that school, but I didn't want to be a 2 day drive to visit my folks. I would have gone to a community college first to establish residency in the San Antonio area (relatives in the area) and then transferred. I did get a good education from University of MD Baltimore County (UMBC) and a MRS degree---- I mean a BA .

Actually, I figured she didn't want to go to UT, but it does have a great psych dept. It is very tough to get into now...

BTW, I have a BA degree in CS. It is a language degree in computer science. weird, huh?
