HEY HEY HEY! Thought I'd share with all of you's people. The HR Director called and left me a voice mail at home this morning. She met with the VP, reviewed all the candidates thus far and they want me to come in at the beginning of next week!!!


AAAAaaaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!! Second interview. Now I have to wow 'em, charm 'em, appeal to 'em, make 'em laugh, make 'em think, make 'em ponder all that is me. Yeesh! But I'm so excited!

OHANAFAMILY, no I don't collect Steiffs. I'm not rich enough. But I do have a good-sized fox who is curled up sleeping on his tail. I also have a teddybear with a squeaky in it. Actually, I had to hide him, because my dogs want to kill him and rip his stuffing out.

I'm so excited!

But now, if I got the job, I'd have to worry about whether I'd be allowed to go anywhere at all! I wouldn't have a problem moving the dates and paying any fees associated (already bought the airline tix and paid for the package). But what do I say about it? "Thanks for the offer. Oh! By the way, I have to take a week off in the fall."

I've done it before in a previous new job but you never know how they'll react. I was thinking about lying through my teeth, saying that the vacation is paid for (true) and that it's a big family reunion and everyone will be traveling with us since I'm the coordinator (total lie). What do you think?

I'm going to be running into the same problem Rick as we have our vacation Oct. 30 and we can't change the dates as DH can't get another week. So I'm just gonna tell who ever I'm second interviewing with that I have the week planned.

Now of course I have to get a second interview

I found out today which class I will have next year. I am to teach the oldest class in the school, the 10-11 year olds compared to the 7 year olds I had this year. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I know some of the kids are going to be a nightmare, they have shown physical and verbal abuse to staff before and their parents don't acknowledge there is a problem. I also found out though that I get to work with my closest friend at school. We worked to gether last year and we make a good team. The other staff do not know where they are going yet so we are unsure if we will have a third person to work with or not. Also the deputy head has said she wants to swap rooms with me but the head said I do not have to moove so I am going to tell her no! I can't face moving from my room as I have so much stuff in it (plus I don't like her room.)

OK, I've got to go now as I need to make dinner.

Danauk No doubt in my mind you'll do great with the 10-11 yr old houligans next year! And good for you for not changing rooms...do they even ask what age you prefer to teach before they make that decision? Seems kind of unfair to me.....but at least you'll get to teach with your buddy and that always makes things easier.

We do get asked what age group we would prefer to teach but next year all the classes are going to be nightmares!! I said as I wasn't bothered where I was put as they are all going to be hard classes. I taught the older kids last year though so I am not bothered about their age. I think the head would have put me with the older class no matter what I said though. But I do get to work with my friend plus the head said I would have a full time teaching assistant and if we would like to I will keep my assistant that I have at the moment (we have worked to together for 4 years already and get on really well.) Teaching the exam class will be good for my CV though. Even though I had the older kids last year I had the special needs class so didn't teach the mainstream kids.

RickinNYC, congratulations on the 2nd interview. I don't have the patience for this. Why can't your 2nd interview be NOW!! I wonder how many they brought back for 2nd interviews. Does your friend who suggested you know anything?

Lainie lost a sandal at the grocery store this morning. GRRRR. It wasn't in the lost & found when I left, so I'll check back tomorrow.

We went to the party store to look for invitations for Josh's 5th birthday party. He is hell bent on having a Yu-Gi-Oh party. YUCK! I tried to get him to do Shrek, Nemo, heck even Batman or Spiderman. Nope, he has decided. It's gonna be Yu-Gi-Oh. I don't even know what a Yu-Gi-Oh is. Oh well, bought the invites today. I can't believe he is going to be 5 in less than a month.

I'm off to put Lainie to bed & Josh to his room for rest time.

Hi everybody!

I had some wonderful success at the shoe store today. Great deals on really cute shoes. Two pairs of sandals and a pair of horse-riding boots for Holly for $33! Can't beat that. The boots are actually not horse-riding boots, but they'll do just fine. She looks so cute in them. Everything looks cute on Holly, must be nice.

The best news though is she got the cutest pair of summer sandals that make her 2" taller! That means she can ride R&R finally! We've been trying to get her on that ride the last 4 trips and the girl just does not seem to be growing at this point in her life.

Ella is feeling soooo much better today! She was running amuck in the shoe store, tearing the place up. Now normally I would be annoyed and extremely aggrivated by this. But today, I celebrate the wildness of my Ella monkey! Woohoo!

Her mouth is still full of blisters and so are her little hands. The ones on her legs, feet and bottom are drying up. She ate really well today and drank 2x what she had yesterday already today.

I sense a change in the TAGLIARCHY. Babies are being made, positions at work are changing, new jobs are close at hand for a few. There is excitement in the air!

Or maybe it's just me. So happy that Ella is on the mend.

Jordan is into that too and he has a small fortune's worth of Yu-Gi-Oh cards and stuff up in his room....I'd ship it all directly to Josh today if Jordan would let me


ohanafamily I know you must be happy that RRBB will be back soon, if only for a short time, but she needs to do all this now cause she'll be pretty busy at home when the baby comes What show are ya'll gonna see tonight, or is that tomorrow night? Are you having a better day at work today? Have you been on any more wild techie shopping sprees while she's been gone?
