Somehow I don't think it really made much of an impression on him. But it sure was special for me. ::yes::

OK, if we are sharing wedding photos here are two of mine (they are a bit small, sorry!)

Me with my two bridesmaids, Sam on the left who I lived with at uni for 3 years and Liz, my SIL on the right.

Me and Pete, although there is a bit too much confetti to see everything!! I designed the dress and the bridesmaids dresses myself and had them made by a friend of the family who I had known since I was 4. I went to school with her sons for 14 years and then was at uni with her eldest son for 3 years (her eldest son was in the same class at uni has Pete!!) Anyway they were the last dress she ever made as she died of breast cancer last year:sad1:

Oh, RRBB that is a great idea about the topiary, I'm sure if you ask they won't mind.

Hey RRBB!

Have you found that special smilie yet for Pinky Bananabutt aka the Official Movie Critic of the TAGLIARCHY!

No hurry.....just a reminder......for poor little pittiful me.....who you've cursed not only with a funny name on the wheel, but with no smilie at all....boo hoo........:sad1:

I'll check into it next week when we're there. I can't imagine they wouldn't want any of the topiaries to end up in our beautiful gardens.

DANAUK and RRBB, you looked beautiful! I'll bring a wedding photo into work tomorrow and scan and post. This is fun! :Pinkbounc

CADBURYSMOM, have you seen the wedding debate over on the debate board? They are debating what is tacky at a wedding. I only did one thing that someone considered tacky--I had a big bow on my butt! Bwhaaaaaaaa! But it was in 1990 and butt bows were all the rage!!! I also had foofy bangs. Yuk! But I did like the rest of my hair--it was kind of a french roll/gibson girl kind of thing. Anyway, did you have a butt bow? LOL.

That was one thing I was certain of when I designed my dress. NO BOW ON BUTT!!!!!

When I checked into the Lodge, I asked if they had Flag Family available...they did and we had the best time...pictures link is below.

I am a notary too, I didn't know I could perfom marriages... I will check and see. I knew I could take affidavits, but I didn't know I could perform a wedding. I will check this out, how cool; I may not have to pay the $25 fee to be ordained over the internet (an ordained Jewish notary...Hmmmm) I will post back, but I don't think it would be legal in Texas.....(Belt Buckle of the Bible Belt.....)

Don't tell me EVERYBODY in Ohana's family has the pushyperson disorder.;)

Your dress is so beautiful and so are you! You are a very youthful looking 37! ::yes::

Go ahead and make fun of my but bow. :snooty: Actually, it was more orchid shaped.

The truth of the matter is, at the age of 25, my butt looked good with any adornment. :teeth: ;)

I just got a call back from my notary adviser... Florida and a couple of other places allow notaries to perform weddings. Texas is not one of those places.... Sorry Rick.....

Oh how much you all talk!! And about weddings, I feel quite out of place ::yes:: ...I love weddings, especially dresses! My latest hobby on the internet, when not dissing, is looking at wedding dresses!! Actually, I found quite a few really pretty ones on EBAY...too bad I'm not getting married...maybe me sister?? ;) :D

Ah, today was such a lovely day. As I posted earlier, I took my mom out to lunch, and we had just a grand old time. Then we quickly ran over to Borders and I got the Yoga book I've been wanting for weeks now...makes interesting reading, really! Did you know you have 3 bodies?? Maybe I'll post more on that whole thing later...

Then I had to rush home and change before track practice which started off horribly, had a good middle, and ended horribly...

But, it was very inspiring - that good middle part. One of the best runners in the world, who graduated from our town's high school, came and talked to us! I can't remember now what event it was, but he took 3rd in the Track and Field WORLD Championships!! He was really nice, too. He's also trying to qualify for the olympics, so, if you happen to watch the olympics this year, and watch the track and field portion, watch for Eric Neadu(sp?), 'cause I met him!! I even got to hold his bronze medal from the World Championships!! Really inspired me to run a lot better tomorrow at our meet.... :teeth: I love track!

Oh, and we played the Hampsterdance... and had Bride and groom Ears (which the wedding coordintor tried to hide, and we forgot to wear...)

OMG....I had a big butt bow too! They were very IN at the time so we were both VERY stylish ;) Mine was more like a big flounce than a bow but the gown looked really neat when the train was pinned up under it. Can't say the same for my butt though....I've always been a member of "Da Big Butt Club":teeth:

I can't wait to zip over to the "Dark Side" to see how tacky my wedding was!::yes::

Talkischeap Hello....did I tell you how much I love your chocolatey color...yum!

Glad you had a nice lunch with your mom....you were sweet to take her out! Sorry practice didn't go as well as expected but I'm sure you'll do much better tomorrow;) And that's pretty cool to meet a big track star....I didn't recognize his name, but I'll keep an eye out for it :teeth:

:wave2: cadburysmom!!

Hmm...I thought my color was kinda orangy...but I guess it is an orange-brown like my dream car :lovestruc !!

How was everyone elses day(or day so far..)??

Eerm I got married in the 1990's too and butt bows really were not in over here (OK it was 1998, so late 90's) Over here butt bows were so 80's. Now my Aunties dress (the one I am wearing as the fairy queen in the swap photo), that has a butt bow (which I managed to hide by tacking the train up). Even as a fairy queen wearing a wedding dress I still was not having a bow on my butt!! BTW my auntie got married on my 8th birthday in 1984!

Well actually, every time I tried to to copy it from the color wheel it came out as Buttercup Monkeychunks, so I had to do it from memory.......
