[COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR], I can one up you on at least one point, my mother bought the presents for herself on Mother's Day BC the "Don" in my family is too cheap and would just make her have me get her a gift card...that she would pay for. He is the reason that my mom buys the birthday gifts from every member of our family I used to go out of my way for something special for each kid for every birthday. Mom would think it was wonderful until my DB would criticize it. I got tired of getting fussed at. Their loss.

OMG [COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR], I could have written that same statement about ohanafamily's oldest brother. And what's worse, they work together so he gets that kind of treatment day in and day out. When we went out for Mother's Day on Sunday, we could have listed every word he and the Ice Queen said to us on two hands or less. Yup, no conversation with them at all. But then I've given up trying with them so I don't really care anymore. But they have this superior attitude about them and you get the feeling that the only reason they're even there is out of obligation.

Yes, my oldest brother is like Don too. He has always thought he was far superior to the rest of us and when he does show up for holidays, he speaks only to my dad. He is definitely the "favorite child" and my mother bends over backwards to please him.....I get sooo mad. He is the one who married the English girl last August. We were really afraid to meet her but as it turns out, she is just as delightful as she can be and I can't for the life of me figure out why she loves him so, but most of all, how she can put up with his snobby attitude We joke that in 5 yrs they will be divorced and we'll get her drunk and find out all his dirty little secrets...........hee, hee, hee

Ok, all this was very, very BAD of me, so I won't say more about my oldest brother. My other brother and I are very close and live in the same town and I am so about that! I guess God throws in really, really bad relatives to help us appreciate the really, really good ones.........

Gotta run do mommy errands and get my drivers license renewed....the picture taken today can't possibly be worse than the one I have....very frightening!

Are you going to the new DMV on Capital--by Triangle Town Center--Its the best in the area.

MNSSHP is a blast, we did it 2 years ago... and we did the dinner at Liberty Tree. It is a special menu, and we had a great time. We dressed up and everything...Count us in, but we are going early enough we don't have to decide the date for a while... it fills up first closer to Halloween. Th Headless horseman galloped the parade route... cool Special parades, really short lines (limitted number of people there...) we rode Space Ranger Spin (Buzz Light Year) like 5 times in a row... again... NO LINES!!!

Costume hints...

nothing cumbersome that will get in the way or interfere with the safety in the rides...
No bulky Masks...
Nothing too hot
Not too many loose items...
Oh, must be Disney.
Costumes are not required, but it was so much fun...

We went as Woody and Jesse (from Toy Story2)

llebrekniT and DHB my SIL went over to her moms empty handed and stayed while my MIL made lunch. Laura can do NO wrong! They are 65 and 68 and she was moving out of one house to another, they packed her stuff up (all of it) and the kids.....cleaned the place......AND did landscaping to help the house sell......................ALL WHILE SHE WAS AT WORK FROM 7:30-4:30. This is the same MIL who cooks meals daily for her because if she didn't, the kids would not eat a healthy meal as Laura would not cook for them. DISGUSTING!

OK I know I should search through back pages but when are you guys meeting?

Oh we are talking about brothers, well hold on.

My brother, who I love and would do anything for but not real bright.

Got drunk at my wedding and left....for California leaving wife and two year old, they had a daughter a few months later divorced. (He screwed around and wasn't sober yet)

Now sober meets a nice girl she gets pregnant (oh and first wife pregnant when they got married). She unfortunately loses baby (God bless her had like 3 miscarriages, she was a real gem) years of being separated by jobs, school, moving, etc. etc. etc. She really took care of his kids was very close to them). Well they separate, try to get back together he goes to Romania with the service and meets "her". Now leaves wife, new girlfriend leaves her husband and in less then a year she miscarries and is now pregnant and due in Sept.

So between new girl they have 4 marriages. Oh and they don't know if either will be working or have a place to live in the next few months. Oh I could go on. My mother is so glad she's worked through her feelings for him (she goes on a lot of retreats!) Can you top that!

Wow! The lines sound like they were during MVMCP. Have you been to it? I know we don't have to decide the date yet but we are just excited to have something to plan!!!!

I would recommed MNSSHP. We had a blast!! Lines were not too bad and we went on Halloween. The parade is great. Worth the money IMO.
