Welcome to you too mermaidlady. I'm sure you'll find lots to do here on the island, too. We have a big movie viewing room with recliners for everyone. Chocolate flowing all over the place. And of course the pool and hot tub with bar, bartenders of choice, grill, etc. We even have a firing range for our dragons to practice breathing fire, though they MUST have adult supervision for this since they don't have their "Fire Breathing" licenses yet. Oh yeah, we have lots of pretty birds around here, including flamingos.

As for getting the "veteran status", I think it has to do with the number of posts you've made on the DIS. Not sure what number triggers it but I'm sure you'll hit it soon (unless the TAG FAIRY finds you first.)

It took me awhile to log on...the screen just keep on saying NC Beast. He had a lot of fun before going to work. He watched the 2003 version of Peter Pan while I fell asleep. Welcome new people!

Well, finally had some time to download some photos from the camera so thought I'd share a few....

We drove down Friday after Abbie got out of preschool and got into SOG around 1:30am Saturday. Put the kids right back to bed (they'd slept since about 9pm in the car) since we had a full day planned

We always try to eat somewhere new on each trip and this time we ate at several new places, the first one being breakfast at Chef Mickey's! What a way to start your first day in the world!

And finally, Abbie with the mouse she came to see!! Her mouth is open so wide because we have to get her to say something to keep her from making big goofy grins Or maybe she was still screaming from the excitement....who knows!!

Definitely not a place for the faint of heart, but we had a blast!!

Thanks, guys! Since I had no part in it, I can agree that I think they're pretty cute, too Yes, we had loads of fun! Turns out, this was THE trip for characters for Abbie, so I'm glad I made the PS for character meals....we did Donald's breakfastosaurus a few days later. Abbie just adored meeting all the characters! Walt did too, as long as he approached them and not the other way around. I made a autograph scrapbook for Abbie to use before we left....had 20 premade pages for signatures with space for photos on the opposing page and I took extra paper for others we might meet. Good thing! We filled the 20 pages and got 35 other autographs!! Just hoping all the extra pages will fit in her book This'll be something we do every time, I think, so she can see herself "growing up" at the park And the characters LOVED her book and spent lots of extra time with her and made sure to make nice autographs for her Will post a few when I get the pics back and in the book....

Hi mermaidlady---you get to veteran status when you hit 75 posts...then you get to type witty sayings in black unless the TF tags you. I decided to change sayings Friday to say My Tags are in invisible ink. Then Sat. afternoon the TF decided to add javascript to it, and for a while you could see the javascript instructions....it was cool. Only the TF can add color to tags. Have fun and pick a color.

Well y'all I'm going to call it a night. Only got 2.5 hours sleep last night since I stayed up to read/skim all the posts! YIKES!! And we have a full day of errands tomorrow....so must get some rest.

mermaidlady Welcome to the TAGLIARCHY! I see you've already made yourself at home, so you might as well pick a color since you're going to stick around! Isn't this a friendly group?! And they seem to love chocolate as much as I do! Don't worry...none of us are axe murderers (at least I hope not since I'm going to WDW with some of them in October!)

If I fall asleep on my way up the stairs, could someone please get a nice bartender to carry me the rest of the way up? Thanks!

Today I have a busy, musical day. I have rehearsal from 12-5 for the orchestra that I am playing in for a show in the theatre the week after next. Then after that we have our Sound of Music auditions at 6pm.

And a welcome goes out to Mermaidlady. It's about time we get some pink flamingo's around here! (Are we talkin' the plastic lawn ornament kind or the real ones that eat shrimp??)

I've started the day out by drinking coffee, reading the Sunday paper in peace, eating bacon and eggs, and watching a travel show on Norway on PBS2.

In honor of Mother's Day, DH is giving the dogs a bath as we speak! Now THAT is what I call great present. The kids don't know it yet, but their gift to me will be helping their dad clean the upstairs (both bathrooms included). You see, you TELL your family what you want for Mothers Day, and this insures that they don't screw it up.

In a while I will be making stuffed shells and turkey sausage with peppers and onions. Both sets of parents are coming over at 3:30 p.m. for dinner.

That is my day. What's everyone else up to?

BTW, I'm now totally confused on the flight thing. What should I do?
