Hey ohanafamily, RRBB, Mad4Mickey, other Tagliarchy friends - How are you? Doing fine here - getting ready for my May trip :). Just wanted to let all the Texans know that we're trying to plan another DFW DISmeet for May. KathyTX posted a thread over on the DIS meets board, and I told her I'd make sure the Tagliarchy DFWers didn't miss out on the notice. I had a great time at the ballpark and hope it works out for y'all to come to this meet, too.

Krista :wave2:

Thanks for the heads-up about the DFW Dis meet skporter. It was a lot of fun meeting you at the ballpark. ohanafamily and I will definitely have to check it out.
------
Ooops, just noticed that we'll be at WDW the day of the meet. Guess we'll have to wait for the next one.

:earseek:
We can't do the Dis-meet; we will be in WDW...we leave the day before...

:bounce:

Hey everyone, how are we all doing?
Deadheadbelle and llebrekniT I'm glad to hear your mum/MIL is doing better.

RickinNYC I hope your presentation went well and you persuaded them to part with lots of cash.

My day was better than yesterday. The car started which was the first improvement and the kids were better today. We had a visitor in and they were the model class, well behaved, asking sensible questions no fussing :D I was so happy (I wish they were like that all the time:rolleyes: )

So this evening I need to go to the supermarket to drop off DH's dry cleaning, change some Euros back into ££ and maybe see if there are any suitable clothes for an interview. Then I guess I should practice some interview questions and replies. Tomorrow I have another teacher coming to observe me for the afternoon to get some ideas to make his lessons better so I guess I had better make sure my lessons will be a good example. I think I'll do a powerpoint presentation for the start of our new geography topic.

Oh well no rest for the wicked, I better get on with things (actually cooking dinner first might be a good idea.)

Bye for now

Dang - I get back the day before :). We'll just miss each other down there. If we end up changing the date I'll let you know.

SCORPIO/LIBRA (For Lewski)

SUN in SCORPIO with LIBRA In many situations, Scorpio will respond with greater emotional intensity than Libra. While Libra is not a cool and aloof individual, Scorpio's feelings can run deeper. For example, both of you want a close relationship, but Scorpio can become intensely fixated on a person and possessive, whereas Libra maintains a sense of proportion and some reasonable degree of objectivity and emotional distance from others, even in marriage. Scorpio's urge to merge can be very powerful. Libra's approach to life, in general, tends to be more moderate and well balanced, while Scorpio tends to periodically become intensely focused on some area of concern and become even fanatical in pursuit of some interest. Libra's detached fairness can infuriate Scorpio at times, and Scorpio 's inexplicable dark moods or fervent responses bewilder Libra. These differences need not create serious problems in your relationship. Emotional bonds between you can be very strong, especially if other astrological indications indicate strong romantic or sexual ties.

PISCES/GEMINI (Was that for Kadaten?)

SUN in PISCES with GEMINI Both of you are very open-minded, adaptable and flexible people, who are receptive to many different points of view and ideas. You are both also quite changeable and fluid and sometimes inconsistent. If you are looking for a steadying hand or a rock of Gibraltar, look elsewhere. Gemini approaches situations or problems in a more cerebral, rational manner, while Pisces relies more on intuition and feelings. Gemini may sometimes try to force Pisces to directly discuss an issue, which can be futile. Pisces may not be able to articulate ideas in as convincing a way as Gemini, but Pisces tends to draw upon a level of wisdom and sensitivity that is very deep, though difficult to formulate clearly in words. Gemini is more factual, like a reporter, and Pisces is more of a poet. You both must remember that there is truth in both ways of understanding the world. Gemini finds Pisces ineffable and enigmatic at times. Pisces finds Gemini 's nervous energy and hectic pace rather unnerving.

Just wanted to wish Rick good luck. Go get 'em and watch out those killer kitties.

Hugs to Sam too. Hope she feels better.

And Lewski, tell us about the job thing. I'd send you an e-mail, but God forbid someone at work sees it.

Hi guys!

Woo hoo! The presentation was a hit! And for the first time ever, a couple of folks actually cried! I didn't intend to do that, I just laid out the facts as we know them about the hunger situation in NYC.

Next thing you know, I have an entire team of volunteers who now own Wednesday night pick ups at a local green market. AND, we sat and brainstormed about how they can help us if the company wouldn't donate.

And wouldn't you know it. Each person plans on getting together a departmental team and they're going to host a bowlathon! How cool is that! In order to participate, they figure each person is going to be required to collect a minimum of $150 in donations. With about 50-75 people involved, that could get us between $7500 - $11,250!!!!!!

Holy smokes!!! :hyper:

So thanks for the well wishes. It paid off big time!

Now I have to put together the same thing at Citigroup for a presentation this Thursday... never ending but it's fun.

COOL!!!!!

Bowling for charity...

I am so glad...Hey Rick, What ever happened with your intern???

We called the one kid that had expressed the most interest and was the most qualified. His response was so underwhelming and he wanted a week to think about it. Told him, nope! He needs to get back to us by this Thursday.,

Otherwise we have a great candidate who's still interested and she's next.

Oh, and Ohanafamily, you asked about Bill but I forgot to respond. He just has a touch of the runs. I just have to study his poop when he goes. Make sure it's firming up.

Nast stuff. Especially when I have to walk him and have to pick it up. I don't mind picking up the poop (though his are HUGE), but when it comes to the other stuff, I gag.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE!!!

Congratulations RickinNYC
on a great presentation. Sure hope Bill is ok and that 'everything' comes out all right, if ya know what I mean ;)

Cupcake Day went very well but I'm exhausted so hopefully I can catch a catnap before I have to pick Jordan up from school.....then we have yet another dreaded school project to do....anyone want to do it for us?

I LOVE the birthday cake...thanks a bunch! You're right, my birthday isn't until May 4 but yesterday was my son Jordan's 10th birthday and everyone has been so sweet in sending their well wishes. What a great group we have on the TAGLIARCHY!

Oops, didn't mean to make my last post so big.........

Have a great afternoon!

Way to go Rick. Nothing like guilting people into pulling out the ole checkbooks.;)

I'm going to order new checks today. How exciting for me.

Programming reminder: Tonight on American Idol: Barry Manilow! . Can't wait!!! I wonder if Fantasia will sing Copacabana?

Congratulations on a great presentation RickinNYC.

I'm just sitting and perparing for my interview on Thursday. I've just been to the shops and bought a suit and my DKNY top I bought in Orlando last year goes perfect with it.:D

I guess I had better get on with some work
