...name one thing that's 'good' about it...

It's over? :confused3 Congrats on your major scrollie scrollie. No shaky, shaky, but I prefer the scrollie, scrollie.

Sadiedog: What a scary day for you! I hope he's okay. :goodvibes

I'm worn out. First day at the gym today. Dh is cooking, though, and I think dinner is ready!

Aloha!

How's everyone doing?

I had a little excitment. Turned my dishwasher on and it started smoking. Yay for apartment living, maintenance is here to fix it now.

It's times like these that make me shudder at home ownership.

Yikes! I guess the good thing about being in an apartment is you have maintenance to fix it, rather than a non-mechanical husband.

KIMMAR -Congrats on the cool scrollie!

I'm another person happy to see the CB being political minefield free. Too many people went to the extreme, making it a not so great community.

Until his medication was regulated he had multiple ones a day. :sad2: He had several different types of seizure's. We are fortunate enough to have a major teaching hospital with a children's hospital as part of it near us. I feel like we lived there for 5 years. But he is doing great know. He has been seizure free for 10 years. He is allowed to drive and lives a very normal life. Maybe that is why he is such a daredevil now. :rotfl:

oh Smileybug what a horrible thing to have to go through :sad1:

so sorry you guys had to go through that but i am so glad it's better.

Well, I am fairly lucky. My DH is mechanically inclined, and knows how to do a lot of renovation type stuff. Sheetrocking, tiling, painting...pretty much everything but what you'd really want a professional for, like electrical and plumbing, you know?

We've actually entertained the notion of building a house. Which I know can be a royal pain in the ahem, but DH likes the idea so I'm going to do some research. There's a ton of land for sale in the town we want to live in.

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

Morning, chiquita bonita!

I'm off to get ready to take DS to preschool and then my mother and I are headed off to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. She has a gift card she's wanted to use. I mean, is there much better than free breakfast? :goodvibes

HEY TK. Building a house is every emotion you can possibly experience. But I highly recommend it!! :thumbsup2 We built this house and have been in it for about a year. And believe it or not we are starting to entertain the idea of doing it again in 2 or 3 years.

I've watched people go through it and I know it's not pretty. :lmao:

And although I don't relish the thought of all that going on, at the same time, you know you're getting exactly what you want. Plus with my DH being so handy, we feel he could do a lot of the work. Heck, I'd be willing to help if it saved us money, you know?

I can't believe you're thinking of doing it again! God bless ya! :goodvibes

We want more land. We also just found out that this house is worth a lot more than we owe on it. So we could be debt free. Other than a house payment. But we would be able to put a large down payment on it and pay it off a lot faster. It just seems like a no lose situation. Other than going through another build. And I would approach that a lot differently than this one. I would be more prepared. But regardless we are waiting until the market stabilizes again before we make any kind of decision.

...I guess that I can't complain ["...look a gift horse in the mouth..."] but, persoanlly, I wouold have preferred that 'shaky, shaky' to the 'scrollie, scrollie'...;)

Good morning, all. Just popping in during break/overriding the content filters at work. (Which is legal for 5 min tops, lol)

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday. I'm ready for it to be Saturday. . .Recreation Baseball and Softball practice started this week--all three of my kids are playing. . .

Ohh...ya'll are bringing back memories. I remember the days of running the road. So much that sometimes you literally felt like you were passing yourself on the road. :rotfl:

Well, that's an excellent position to be in. If we do go this route, I'm definitely going to be picking your brain. I hope you don't mind. :goodvibes
