Smiley, did you bake the cake to honor your 9000 post?:lmao: YUM CAKE

I hope things start to look up around here soon. More plants/mills closing and hundreds more out of a job. I REALLY hope someone wants to buy some waterfront property. My daughter needs a car. I don't know what we are going to do after she graduates and we both need to get to work in the mornings. Maybe she won't be scheduled for too many mornings. I can see myself walking 6/7 miles home after daycare. :rotfl2: I hate to ask my mother for help. She will find a way to let me know what an inconvenience I am, how I made her go out of her way and I would have to listen to her complain about how I made her use her gas. Then if I offer her $ for gas, she will refuse. :confused3 Either take the $ or don't complain I am costing you gas $. UGH She is certainly not the kind that enjoys helping others, especially her children. I am just the opposite.

:rotfl2: Well, so much for low key. That thing looks like it could rival the Osborn Family lights. :rotfl:

Wow, Smiley, how do you handle all that excitement in one day?!...I mean, chatting with yourself, hitting 9000 posts, AND making a coconut cake!!

:lmao:

Sorry, the plain brown boxes are starting to get to me, I guess. I am in dire need of some comic relief!

Oh, and the Osborne Family lights?.......

I'll get to see those this year!

It was my inner self that alerted me to the fact that I was about to reach 9000 post and I baked the cake to surprise myself when the big event happened. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :confused3

I do have a strong accent, Legomom.

Hope you all had a good day--we got new chicks today!

We believe you creativeamanda. :goodvibes I had a nice day. I baked a cake. :thumbsup2 That's funny about the new chicks....I haven't seen any new posters in here in a while. :rotfl: Sorry.....I bet they are cute!! I want a fancy chicken. And a turkey. I think the turkey would follow hubby all over the yard. :lmao:

Ok, the Sock/Sister storyline is a little disturbing. I hope they don't jump the shark.

:lmao: I can't remember the last time I saw someone use the jump the shark phrase in context.

I'm weirded out about Ben and the demon. :rotfl2:

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

Yay, Mr. Rogers! :goodvibes

Just thought that ya'll might be interested in hearing that not only is our market up. So is Japan's and Asia's. Things are starting to look better. :thumbsup2 Cautiously optimistic I am. :goodvibes :thumbsup2

That's awesome, I did not know that.

You know....this has been difficult/scary time for all of us. For those of us with children that are old enough to understand what has been happening. This has been such a powerful learning experience. That yes, it is okay to have "wants" and spend money. As long as we live within our means. I truly do feel that my children already have a pretty good handle on their money. But this has made them appreciate the value of a dollar much, much more. :thumbsup2

I know I've really been getting frugal in the past few years, but current state of the economy really has seemed to put things into perspective.

while we don't own our own business my bro does and he has not seen the current down fall, he has been busier then ever is which is wonderful:banana:  !

Happy to hear that!

Hey there! And how are you fine folks doing today?

:rotfl:

Smileybug I see you were having a little chat with yourself first thing this morning.....:surfweb: Kinda lonely, isn't it?!:upsidedow

Or, perhaps it's freeing, what with some of the conversation that goes on around here!!

.

Hola to LegoMom!

...did anyone miss me?

That was rhetorical, right?

psst.....this is my 9000th post. :scared1:
