I'll have to take a picture of the chicks when I get a chance. I kind of took a nap instead this afternoon. 11 of the chicks are Amerecaunas, which are also called Easter Egg chickens because they lay blue and green eggs.
There are chickens that lay blue and green eggs???? That's so COOL!!!!
Dude.
I'm gettin' excited!
By the way, TK, how long does it take you to actually go through and multi-quote everyone to catch up on the day?!!....wow!
You know...I'm not quite sure. But I've always been a very fast reader!
I wonder about TK with the multiquoting, as well. She's awesome to make sure she acknowledges all of us, too, especially when there are 3+ pages to weed through.
Oh, bless you. Sometimes it seems daunting, but I don't want to leave anyone out!
Here are the new babies--the yellow and yellow and black ones are the Ameraucans, the black ones are the Barred Rocks--they will be black and white striped.
So stinkin' cute! Thanks for posting pictures!
Tk, I hope you had a good day today. Are you still loving the haircut?
I am still lovin' it, thank you! It's just above my shoulders, and when it's this short, it flips out naturally, so I was able to accent the flip with my hair dryer while drying it. My hairdresser gave me long layers, and it looks so cute! Today I'm going to try styling it curled under.
And that concludes this portion of the saga of TK's hair.
Not to be confused with the saga of TK's feet.
Which is a whole other can of worms. All the shoes came last night, the stylish
Crocs and the Keens I ordered, and I have no idea what will be good for work. I think I may try one today and see how we do.
They chirp all night long, and there is always one chick who thinks it's her business to be louder than the rest.

I'm sorry. Isn't that just like real life?
One chick who always has to be louder than the rest!
We had a turkey. She was huge. Laid gigantic eggs. Neighborhood dogs got loose and injured her to the point that we had to put her to sleep.
The same thing happened to our rabbit, Carrot. We are going to get more rabbits, soon, though.
OMG, that's awful. Poor thing. We went to visit a farm near here a couple of years ago with DS, and the workers were shying people away from one of the chicken coops. I guess one got loss and the dogs went to town.
TarzansKat, you do a great job quoting and responding to us all.
Aw shucks, you all flatter me so.
....yeah, I call it a 'shaky-shaky' and I really want one.....
