I think the Tag Fairy should honor Smileybug for her 9000th post.

I'll have to take a picture of the chicks when I get a chance. I kind of took a nap instead this afternoon. 11 of the chicks are Amerecaunas, which are also called Easter Egg chickens because they lay blue and green eggs.

.......

Does that mean what I think it means?

....

:rolleyes1

:dance3:

By the way, TK, how long does it take you to actually go through and multi-quote everyone to catch up on the day?!!....wow!

I second the Tag Fairy idea, but I don't know if he/she has been around much lately. Except for the UBER-cool moving avatar I saw over on the camping forum!!

We had a lady at our local farmer's market who used to bring those kind of eggs to sell every week. I don't know how many times in one Saturday morning she was asked if she dyed them!:rotfl:

I wonder about TK with the multiquoting, as well. She's awesome to make sure she acknowledges all of us, too, especially when there are 3+ pages to weed through.

I think the Ameraucans are pretty chicks, and can't wait to see the eggs. That's too funny about the lady at the local farmer's market.

Here are the new babies--the yellow and yellow and black ones are the Ameraucans, the black ones are the Barred Rocks--they will be black and white striped.

Oh. My. Word.

If those don't just OOOZE cuteness, nothing does!!! Do they peep a lot or are they relatively quiet?

.

creativeamanda those chicks are really sweet. What I said earlier about wanting a turkey is the truth. We jut don't know how to keep one safe. A few of our neighbors have big dogs and time to time they are allowed to run free. But I think a turkey for a pet would be just the coolest thing. :thumbsup2

Tk, I hope you had a good day today. Are you still loving the haircut?

They aren't very quiet at all and they can get rather stinky. Let's jsut say, when it's time for them to go outside, I'll be glad to send them out. . .:rolleyes1 They chirp all night long, and there is always one chick who thinks it's her business to be louder than the rest.

We had a turkey. She was huge. Laid gigantic eggs. Neighborhood dogs got loose and injured her to the point that we had to put her to sleep. :sad2:

The same thing happened to our rabbit, Carrot. We are going to get more rabbits, soon, though.

I am so sorry that happened to ya'll. This is exactly what I'm afraid of.

Well ya'll I think I'm off for the night. I'm really tired. I hope you all have a restful night. :grouphug:

Oh creativeamanda, that is sad about your turkey. Those dogs obviously had a high prey drive. Poor turkey. My BIG dogs try to be easy with the rat. If they were to hurt it, it would be by accident. Oooops, did I role over and squish you?

TarzansKat, you do a great job quoting and responding to us all. :thumbsup2

There are chickens that lay blue and green eggs???? That's so COOL!!!!

Dude.

I'm gettin' excited!

You know...I'm not quite sure. But I've always been a very fast reader! :goodvibes

Oh, bless you. Sometimes it seems daunting, but I don't want to leave anyone out! :goodvibes

So stinkin' cute! Thanks for posting pictures!:thumbsup2

Tk, I hope you had a good day today. Are you still loving the haircut?

I am still lovin' it, thank you! It's just above my shoulders, and when it's this short, it flips out naturally, so I was able to accent the flip with my hair dryer while drying it. My hairdresser gave me long layers, and it looks so cute! Today I'm going to try styling it curled under.

And that concludes this portion of the saga of TK's hair. :lmao:

Not to be confused with the saga of TK's feet.

Which is a whole other can of worms. All the shoes came last night, the stylish Crocs and the Keens I ordered, and I have no idea what will be good for work. I think I may try one today and see how we do.

They chirp all night long, and there is always one chick who thinks it's her business to be louder than the rest.

:rotfl2: I'm sorry. Isn't that just like real life?

One chick who always has to be louder than the rest! :rotfl2:

OMG, that's awful. Poor thing. We went to visit a farm near here a couple of years ago with DS, and the workers were shying people away from one of the chicken coops. I guess one got loss and the dogs went to town. :confused3

TarzansKat, you do a great job quoting and responding to us all. :thumbsup2

Aw shucks, you all flatter me so.

....yeah, I call it a 'shaky-shaky' and I really want one.....:badpc:

:rotfl2:

Good morning, guys!

I'm still laughing over one chick being louder than the rest.

It sooooooo applies to my work environment. :rotfl2:

Everyone have a great day! :thumbsup2

Good morning!

Let's do a few jumping jacks to warm up and start our day, shall we?....

:yay:

There, feel better?

Me neither.....where's my coffee???!!!:surfweb:

And now for something completely different:

funny-pictures-csi-cat-studies-the-body-outlines.jpg

Have a fantabulous morning! I'm heading out to get groceries but I'll be back later!

Properly warned ye be, says I.....

.

LegoMom, cute CSI cat. :lmao:

Good morning, I'm getting ready for daycare as usual. I heard this morning that Maine's unemployment is higher than the national average. My daughter was very lucky to get her job. She applied MANY places and this is the only 1 that called back. Now, just need that pesky car to get her there. :lmao: Have a good morning everyone. :goodvibes

Good morning TK, LegoMom and SadieDog. :goodvibes

And to the rest of you sleepy heads as well. :goodvibes

I hope you all have a good day. :goodvibes

good morning everyone :goodvibes

love the csi cat :rotfl2:

here's something to make you laugh some more.

last dh told me what my oldset stepson asked my the other day.

stepson (in the kitchen making himself tea)

dh (walking by him to go outside)

stepson "dad why don't you have normal sugar?"

dh "what?"

stepson "why don't you have normal sugar instead of this powder stuff?"

dH "what powdered stuff?"

stepson "this stuff dad"

dh "that is powdered sugar have you been using that for your tea?"

stepson "yeah"

dh "where did you get it?"

stepson "here, next to the sugar."

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

I'm baaa-aack!

Where is everyone?!

cheermom - re: your sugar story - :rotfl2: :rotfl2: !!! I laughed out loud on that one.

Well, I'm off to do more packing. I'll keep checking in!
