You should have bought a can of aqua net hairspray. That stuff held anything. Sounds like a fun time.

I did use Aqua Net. I just didn't use enough I guess. There were lots of girls dressed in the hideous prom dresses. I was glad I wore my Converse, since we danced all night.

Mean Queen, Ummmm you certainly don't look like Pooh and shouldn't feel that way. You have a great smile and pretty curl to your hair. My hair is fine and straight as a board. You also have nice color to your skin. My light skin on my legs was reason for my daughter to laugh at me while in FL last Oct. Yeah, I looked pretty pale compared to other people. The Prom sounded fun. Oh and your interview sounds like it was interesting.

I'm still trying to get used to my daughter's new hair color. It's very dark brown. I don't like it, but it doesn't matter what I like.

We went out Sat night to our local American Legion. My husband's band and another band took turns playing. It's was not as fun at 1st as it may sound. It was actually a gathering for our friend Jon that was found this winter dead, frozen in a snow bank outside his home. He never had a funeral. There were lots of pictures, 4 of his favorite Dead t-shirts, his camping hat and sandles on display. It was great to see people, but too bad it takes a death to get together. It took me awhile to go from sad to party mode. Jon wouldn't have wanted anyone moping around, he liked a good party.

After noticing a few kids, a friend of mine checked with the Legion and found out minors were allowed as long as parents were there. My daughter offered to be my designated driver. (She is really starting to be useful now) I figured it would be a good time for her to see her Dad play. She arrived around 9:45 and had a great time watching people. We stayed till just after midnight. I was happy that she not too embarrassed to get up and dance with me. It was also nice to see that she will dance while sober. She was fun. Some of the people had not seen her since she was little when we used to go camping together. They had a good time talking to her and couldn't believe she was a Senior. There was a really drunk woman throwing herself on men and making a fool of herself. Good lesson on why not to drink too much. The woman was acting rather disgusting. My husband had to bring another band memeber home so my daughter drove my brother and I. I only had 2 smirnoff but I rarely drink so I will not drive.

I know I may be late, but I'm always up for talking food. I have a hard time picking one. I think a fondue feast is my favorite, followed closely by the traditional steak and baked potato then sushi. As I said, I love food.

Good morning guys! Missed the chatter yesterday, but boy did we have fun!

We got a fair amount of snow here, so I took DS outside to play in it. Ended up meeting up with one our downstairs neighbors, who has two kids, and then we had a nice impromptu playdate / lunch at my place. All in all, it was a great day, but both DS and myself were just pooped! I was glad to get him out for some fresh air though, and he just loved playing in the snow. I must say, I love the white stuff on days I don't work. No driving in it, no worrying about it. Very freeing!

To all who asked about the house thing, and gave us well wishes, thank you!

And no, whoever needed a new septic didn't scare me! I'm expecting those kinds of repairs to come up, and it's certainly something to consider when you buy a home. Things will happen.

Basically, the only issue is that my husband prefers two floors, whereas I grew up in a ranch, and we're in a one level apartment now, so that's comfortable for me. I really enjoy one level living. Our apartment is about 1000 sq feet, so we'd really like something bigger in a house. But even 1200 to 1300 to start would be nice. Really, it's just adding on a third bedroom to what we already have. If we could do that, it would be awesome, I love the open floor plan our apartment has.

Unfortunately for my husband, most two floor houses in our price range are Capes, which I'm not terribly fond of, unless they're dormered in the back. Given that he's about six feet, it doesn't really make for a comfortable bedroom for him if you're in the upstairs one.

We're pretty flexible though, and will look at anything, if not because we like, then to rule it out, you know? The last home we looked at was a ranch, but way too small. They had a "third" bedroom that was being used as a dining room. The listing agent had it listed as a bedroom because it had a "closet" with shelves that was being used to store the china, but it's listed with our town as a two bedroom home. I was a little peeved. We may have one child now, but it would be nice to have the possibility to expand our family and not lose a dining room.

Oh, we're picky aren't we?

Hey LegoMom... I'm sorry its so cold but I'm happy that you have sunshine. These dark and dreary days are getting to me. This has been the darkest winter I think we have ever had. Those days make my skin crawl. And I'm one that used to enjoy them. (a good one every now and them) They were good reading days. KWIM?

TarzansKat... I know what you are saying about 2 story homes. When we built this one we picked a plan with the master on the 1st floor. Didn't want to be climbing stairs when we are old. (And the way this winter is going that might be tomorrow. Those dark days don't cha know) I go upstairs to clean. DD is great about it, My boys....not so much Our pool table is up there and hubby and I do play. But other than that
