What a long day. I was only at daycare for an hour when the High School Nurse called. My daughter was walking down the hall then all of a sudden had sharp pains in her neck and lost much mobility. They were afraid it might have been connected to the jaw injury 2 weeks ago. I spent most of the day at the emergency room. She got X-rays and SHOULD be ok. They think she has a muscle sprain in her neck along with muscle spasms. We have a referral to a specialist if it does not get better.

Now she is laying in bed with her rat and a heating pad on her neck. Yes, you read that right. She is resting with her rat. OMG

So warm here today. It might have hit 50! To bad I missed most of it sitting in a hospital.

oh my hope she gets better soon and a rat? well whatever floats her boat

maybe go outside and enjoy it for a little while and hugs to you both

We don't let rat run around on the floor. 2 cats and 2 buicks would do it in. When someone sits with rat, we tell the buicks "easy with the baby" and they sniff it. Then we have them back off so they don't scare the thing too much. We watch carefully. Rat does have a ball it can exercise on the floor with. Then I had the dogs in the other room. They would definately want to play with "rat in ball."

Welcome to the group!! And please don't admit that to your hubby. Especially since it is so close to Valentines day and they are so positive that is the best gift to give.

I was about to start a thread asking what to get Dh for V Day but then i thought about it and I already know what he wants. He will be all smiles
(that last post made it sound like i dont like O but I really do. However when he is working till 10pm and I am up early with the kids... sleep wins the battle in my head.)

I ask myself that everyday .....the "to nap" wins. My DH says if I had to pick sleep or the big O I'd pick sleep.... he might be right but I would never tell him that

I don't know why, but I am LOL at your response. Thanks, I needed that. "Easy with the baby" is the prompt for the dogs to be easy and gentle. I have used it with my brothers kitten, when my kids caught a mole, when we bring frogs in the house to rinse off and such.

Well last night watching American Idol my friend in TN and I were on AIM taking. Someone was singing "Hey there Delilah" and she told me that her husband sings "Hey there - something that ends in A and has 3 sylabals. Think of a woman. I told my friend my daughter should name her Delilah and we could laugh about it whenever we speak of the rat. Then I told my daughter about the name and why. She thought that was pretty funny. I said it kind of fits with the dark pink eyes and all. Ever heard how the musician Pink got her name? So my daughter wants to name her Delilah but she wants to clear it with boyfriend. You asked
