My DD is having a sleepover. They were singing High School Musical Sing It on the Wii. :scared: Even my 2 year old got up and started singing. :rotfl2: We finally had to tell them to stop. We were worried the neighbors may accuse us of torture. :lmao:

That sounds too funny. Torture huh...so no American Idol hopefuls in the group? :rotfl:

I'd love to join in but here in Texas they've recalled my peanut butter

I guess I'll just eat my jelly sammich and get my babnana groove awn!

HiYa! :wave2: :wave2:

:wave2: Hi back at ya. So all your peanut butter has been recalled? Wow. Well, jelly babnana sandwiches....:crazy2: :faint: :rotfl2:

Hi ya! Welcome to the thread. :wave2:

It's official - we're headed back to Vegas. Flying Southwest - first time with the airline. Their rates are about the same as others but no charge for checked luggage saving a minimum of sixty bucks round trip. I'm a little worried about their boarding procedure but from what I've been told as long as we check-in 24 hours prior shouldn't be a problem. Anyone flown with them recently? Any advice?

Hoping to stay at Palazzo (sister resort to Venetian) but the rates right now are ridiculous. They've been sending us pretty decent email offers the past few months but nothing yet for the dates we're going (4/26 - 5/1). As it stands we're booked at Treasure Island for $79 a night. The lowest offer we've gotten from Ventian/Palazzo is $139. We'll stick with TI if need be but keeping toes and fingers crossed for V/P -- I would much rather stay in a 650 SF luxury suite. ::yes:: Been getting some good offers from Wynn/Encore but again not the right timeframe. They sent us an offer for free nights but for this month only. Encore just opened a few weeks ago so seems to me the free stuff is strategic marketing to fill rooms. Probably won't see anymore free but maybe the rates will be decent since that's where we gambled most last trip. Vegas has been hard hit by the economy so certain resorts are practically giving away rooms. I expect TI to go down more between now and then. So excited ... 3 mths to go. :hyper:

Back to Vegas. That sounds exciting. Sounds like you have an awesome rate on your room. :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone.

Liann, Welcome. :)

Mean Queen, did you get any sleep last night with a house full of girls?

DeterminedOne, good luck getting your rate. Someday, I would like to see Vegas.

Good morning SadieDog. :)

We called the concert off by 9 p.m.. The older girls weren't the problem. The 2 year old wanted to be with the older girls. She sat around crying until she finally passed out around 10. There went my plans for a movie with DH. :sad1:

Your poor little one. :goodvibes I bet everyone had a good time though.

Would anyone like a 13 year old boy that HATES school work, is lazy and barely puts any effort forward? Huh, any takers? PLEASE

:rotfl2: You just gave us every reason to NOT take him. You need to pad your advertisement at least a little. :lmao:

And no I had 3 of those 13 year old boy things and I don't want another one. :sad2: :lmao:

But on the other hand I can't wait until my kids have their own 13 year old "things". :lmao: :rotfl: It's called pay back. ::yes:: :rotfl: :lmao:

Hey, everyone! I thought about Mean Queen and Legomom yesterday as I was going through the Starbucks drive thru in Fayetteville (mainly thinking it was probably less wet and cloudy in Florida).

Hope everyone has had a great weekend--I went shopping with the girls yesterday. I got my eyebrows waxed yesterday morning, causing an intense amount of worry to my girls. . .they were not used to seeing it so red around my eyes. We also got our hair cut, the girls got manicures, new church dresses (only to not be able to go to church this morning b/c sweetie is feeling under the weather), and new shoes.

Today I'm working hard with stuff for National Board Certification.

Anyone heard from Anna recently?

Hmm, change that to 9 year old girl and I've already got one thanks. We're working on a school project right now and she was too lazy to walk across the house to get the book.

Your ears must have been burning. We talked about you while we were at Starbucks. Nothing bad, just the clown thing and POFQ. :clown:

Shouldn't Anna be down here by now for her CP? Maybe it's taking a bit to get internet. :confused3 She needs to let us know where she is. We're planning a trip and I want to go visit her restaurant.

Good luck with the boards.

Hi creativeamanda :wave2: I hope your sweetie is feeling better. :goodvibes

Oh the exasperation that children can cause. :rotfl: Thanks for the memories ya'll. I really didn't need them. :lmao:

Oh yeah, honesty is not the best policy in this case . :rotfl2: Ahhh the thought of pay back someday.

At this rate, my son is going to be too lazy to pass 8th grade. Ummm, do you want to go to high school next year? He only likes the social aspect of school, gym and industrial arts. I read some of a thread that mentioned something like, is it ok if your kid is average. I would be jumping for joy if my son had C's. It's pretty bad when you have to hope for a D. :sad2: He has earned A's in 3 classes - Health, Gym and Industrial Arts. Nice, but lets focus a little more on Reading, Lauange Arts, Science and Social Studies. At least he had a C in Math. Hope that didn't change. SO FRUSTRATED :sad1:

I have never had anything waxed or had a manicure. That would be obvious if you saw my eyebrows and hands. :lmao:

GOOD LUCK with certification.

I was thinking about Anna too. Hope we hear from her soon.

Hi gang!

I have a few minutes before we go to the surprise party for my dad so I'm jumping on to say howdy.

It is SO WARM HERE. And it feels even warmer knowing that is was 9-below at home this morning.....:crazy2:

As Mean Queen already told you, we had a nice meet at Starbucks yesterday. Yes, creativeamanda, we discussed you and the scary clowns on the ceiling at POFQ!:lmao: But don't feel picked on, we discussed me and scary monkeys too. Mean Queen said we ought to arrange a Dancing Babnanas meet at Disney someday, which I totally agree with.

Gotta run for now - I'll catch up with y'all when I get back tomorrow night!

What?!? No revolting and refusing to leave Florida? I want my money back. (Wait, I didn't put any money into it, did I?)

I really do realize my fear of clowns is unfounded. (As is my fear of spiders, but we won't get into that.)

Maybe we should change the name of the thread.

I have a 12 1/2 year old girl. No thanks. I did get a call from one of her teachers telling me she didn't finish a story last week.

Wait until tomorrow when it's time for her to leave. We are having the type of weather that draws our snow birds.
